Thanx neighbors for the kind send off...

So - I thought it would interesting to note the Frommers' Cruise guides' comments regarding Costa: They in effect said the dining wait service was second rate - with the sensation that "they were doing us a favor" as being a descriptive characteristic. Clearly, Costa did NOT take good care of their Formmers' Critic. Aside from that - they also said the dining dishes had little effrort made to deliver any sort of "presentation" in thier dishes... plus descriptive elements were fleshed out. So - I wonder - can all this critical morass be true? Not that anmy of it would dissappoint me if it were true. <wink>

At any rate ... I'll have comments and photos when I get back.

And now before I forget -

OK... time to go - it's late ...

Have a great cruise . . . it will be interesting to see your take on this cruise when you get back! :thumbsup2

Hi Gang,

I showed DH Paul all of his Happy B'day cakes!! He sends his thanks to all - and I made Molten Chocolate Cakes today for him before he left to go back to No. Ca.

This will be his first Disney cruise and I keep telling him all about this crew. After peering over my shoulder the past couple of days - he's now understanding what I've been telling him about our crew/cruise mates. He'll be finished w/his Master's degree in April - and I think he'll probably join us here on the Dis!!!

Again - thanks for the B'day wishes!

Happy belated birthday to Paul, Chris! That molten chocolate cake sounds wonderful!!!!!!!!

I don't know how well the snow is going to show up, but this is the picture out my bedroom window this morning . . . I know many of you hate it, but I think it's pretty and like having different seasons. Of course, I never have to shovel it, so that might make a difference in my attitude . . .

Yea, yea, yea, we got a little dusting of that stuff as well overnight...........no shoveling needed this time............:thumbsup2

But that wasn't the case a few years ago when Angelina took this pic of me in front of our house............

Bill's on his way out to shovel right now. We got about 4 inches or so. Wouldn't worry about the driveway except the huge pile at the end of it from the snow plow. We live on a wide street so we get bigger snow piles :sad2: Hopefully no snow on Thursday when we fly down to WDW :woohoo: :woohoo:

Thanks! But it should be Pam......at least that is who I am anyway....unless he has a secret girlfriend I have not known about for the last 23 years!! LOL...It was a great day.

Thanks again!

Pam

 Oops, sorry sweetie! I read it wrong on the website. You have my permission to say "happy birthday Dodi" to me today. :rotfl:

I have not had time to really check in for a week, but it looks like I missed a few events. I hope you end up enjoying your cruise, Crash, not matter what the critics say!

Happy Birthday Alice!

Thank you, just back from her (delayed) Birthday lunch.

Or, how could I forget shoveling for more than six hours after the Feb. 2003 storm. This is a pic of the front of our house. That mound of sn*w just to the right of our house, is actually our car. Under the left window in the pic is Angelina. As she played, I shoveled, and shoveled, and shoveled..............:sad2:

I think we wound up with about 20" of sn*w from this storm over the President's weekend holiday. Oh yes, that's when our furnace decided to break down and I had to dig out the front of the house so the heater repairman had a place to park his truck. Shortly after the repairman arrived at our house a State of Emergency was declared. Luckily for us, he got our furnace running and we haven't had any trouble with it since.........:thumbsup2

The end result after six hours of shoveling................:rotfl:

This still wasn't as bad as our January 1996 storm when we received 30.7" of the white stuff, took me about eight hours to dig out after that storm...........just have to love those Nor'easters................

Better Bill then me Tracy, but I know my day will be coming again........:rotfl: We live on a county road that runs through three towns, we see the county plows a great deal and I am always having to clear out the end of our driveway............

This will be one thing that I will not miss once we get to Florida!!!!! ;)

BTW, have a nice trip to the sunshine state...........:thumbsup2

Arlene--with sn*w, :cold: sleet, :cold: freezing rain :cold: and rain :umbrella: on the way starting over night, I wish I were there in Florida as well.........

Well, at least I was able to get a nice nap in this afternoon after taking the Benadryl.................

I always loved the first snowfall. It was a tradition to make a snowman as well if the snow was just right:thumbsup2 That wore off pretty quick when shoveling became a painful chore. I was wondering if Cheryl and John got to their destination ok. I didn't hear from her yesterday so I will give her a call later to see if everything is fine.

Love seeing all the Christmas decorations! I really like the snowflakes in the ceiling idea! :thumbsup2

NOT loving the snow pictures! :scared: We are expecting snow this evening too. Not sure how much, since they keep changing the amounts. We tend to get a bit less being on the coast, since we get that warm ocean air that sometimes turns the snow to a slushy mess! Although sometimes we get more due to what they call ocean effect snow...so you never know! :sad2:

We had our big school Holiday Fair yesterday so it was a busy day & I pretty much just passed out on the couch watching HGTV. Today I have to get some food shopping done so the stores should be a complete mad house since everybody has to run & stock up on the usual bread, milk & eggs. You know a few inches of snow means we might all starve to death if we don't have the means to make french toast! ;)

Hope you all have a great Sunday! :flower3:

Looking at all your weather pictures, I came upon this one, I think its called the X-Files cloud formation.

Now what about this guy trying to cycle around a tornado?

Chrissie, that looked like fun. Glad you won. For some reason I was expecting a huge cake that you all would have been surrounded by.:goodvibes You and Brandon have a safe trip down to WDW.

Tracy, hope you and Bill don't get anymore snow and that you have a safe trip down to WDW.

Julie, Diane, Tracy and Andy and whoever else has snow. Enjoy, it is so pretty to look at........................not so much to shovel.:goodvibes

Thanks :goodvibes Unfortunately we're supposed to get more snow before we leave, but Thursday looks clear. I have to take our parakeet to my sisters tomorrow because I can't do it in the snow. We'll miss him for 10 days :sad1: But, we are really looking forward to WDW. Bill has never been there at Christmas time so it will definitely be a treat for him!
