If your store has drop ceilings, it's even easier. I stole the idea from my Mom. She just tied a paperclip to the other end of the fishing line, the lifted the ceiling tiles and put the paperclip end up there. The paperclip keeps the line from pulling out.

That is how I usually hang things from the ceiling. Gotta love paperclips.:goodvibes

Hi Gang,

I showed DH Paul all of his Happy B'day cakes!! He sends his thanks to all - and I made Molten Chocolate Cakes today for him before he left to go back to No. Ca.

This will be his first Disney cruise and I keep telling him all about this crew. After peering over my shoulder the past couple of days - he's now understanding what I've been telling him about our crew/cruise mates. He'll be finished w/his Master's degree in April - and I think he'll probably join us here on the Dis!!!

Again - thanks for the B'day wishes!

Our little 4' tree is up and decorated. We bought this tree last year and put it on our entertainment center because a certain cat would not stop eating the needles off our previous tree. Plus, Angelina's cat tried climbing up the center of the tree and knocked it over several times. I took the tree out of the box and as I opening up the branches, who do you think was there biting the tree needles................:headache:

We have the same problem this year:rolleyes: Two new "kittens" we adopted in July. They are getting big, but still love to play. I think I'm going to try just red bows on our tree so that WHEN it falls over, nothing gets broken.
Our older cats outgrew this after about 2 years.

Just checking in to say hi everyone - I hope everyone in the US had a great thanks giving.

I've just read the last few pages and have enjoyed seeing everyone's Christmas decorations - your homes look beautiful!

Yesterday, Robert left for his trip through Southern India with his Mum and then they are going to the UK for Christmas and New Years staying with his sister so I have the next 5 weeks all to myself - I've caught up on all the chores at home already so am planning to go to the library in the next couple of days and get a big pile of books to read.

I hope to be around a bit more often over the next few weeks and make some of the chat sessions.

Hugs to you all!

went back and read the thread from around thanksgiving.

I was glad to see my secret mickey got their gift.

I want to let my secret mickey know that I love my gift and will wear it during the TOAL... (and I think I know who my secret mickey is)

Sil...

... Guess again Sil, as I helped to ship the item for another DIS neighbor. It was not ME. < wink >

Yes Tom have a great cruise.

Tom, have a wonderful cruise.:goodvibes

Thanx neighbors for the kind send off... I'm sitting here at the "FREE" internet terminal in the concierge lounge at the Fort Lauderdale Sheraton... I got this place for only $56 on PRICELINE. Plus Alicia is "gold" or something shiney as a level... so we got an "ungraded" floor. No food snacks in the lounge over the weekend... <sigh>,... however, tonite I snagged a couple bags of chips and some apples in the lounge.

SO I was wrangling the hotel reservations with Alicia tonite in order for us to hook up with her favorite cousin who is visiting late this December/ early January. We settled on a nite in Carlsbad + a day or two at Legoland followed by a few nites in Costa Mesa/Irvine on Hotwire for a paltry $49 for a 3 star hotel. SO - I've ben camped out here a half hour trying to log in and pay for all this when the site finally replied it was DOWN for unknown reasons. Well.. local time is 1:22AM... so I figure I'll try one last time after wandering through the DIS and if it goes - fine - if not then I'll try again tomorrow.

At any rate - I have just ONE family to meet up with on this cruise who I met on the cruise critic meet thread. The whole thing barely has 200 postings total... and of course, 175 of those postings are mine. < wink > OK, maybe not... but it seems to be a relatively "private" journey for us. I guess that makes for a kind of a relaxing moderate intensity journey.

So - I thought it would interesting to note the Frommers' Cruise guides' comments regarding Costa: They in effect said the dining wait service was second rate - with the sensation that "they were doing us a favor" as being a descriptive characteristic. Clearly, Costa did NOT take good care of their Formmers' Critic. Aside from that - they also said the dining dishes had little effrort made to deliver any sort of "presentation" in thier dishes... plus descriptive elements were fleshed out. So - I wonder - can all this critical morass be true? Not that anmy of it would dissappoint me if it were true. <wink>

At any rate ... I'll have comments and photos when I get back.

And now before I forget -
