Disneyland 70th speculations and news

We currently have 3 popcorn buckets. I use one for thread scraps, the other 2 get used for ... popcorn, lol. One is the Stitch AP bucket from earlier this year that DH wanted because he likes popcorn and it had refills. The other is a 70th bucket (regular shape). Now I make popcorn at home and he takes it in a bucket and we save $. We also use them to take popcorn as a snack other places like th beach. We had a few of the AP refillable buckets pre C19 because the teens were ravenous and the refills were $1, but we gave them away.

I just got home from seeing "Downton Abbey" with friends, and there were two Disneyland 70th anniversary commercials before the movie. One I think I'd seen before, just a generic 70th; the other was focused on HalloweenTime.
Two Disneyland 70th ads? That's interesting!

(But what I really want to know is did you like the movie? I want to see it but it may have to go by myself as no one I know is interested)

Yep, two ads, both mentioning the 70th, a few minutes apart with other ads/movie trivia quizzes in between.

The DA movie was charming. All the usual elements (humor, drama, sentimentality, beautiful costumes, etc.) you'd expect from DA.

I saw two 70th ads when we saw Hamilton. I really want to see Downton Abbey!

It was me, @LKing...that's not the one I wanted but I am picking one up today. The first one was leather-like and brown and had "WED" initials down at bottom. This one will have to do...
Right, I know that. It hasn't been around for a while. I've seen a few other items from that collection, but not the WED journal.

I think @mom2rtk was who was looking for this one.

Just in case it’s news to anyone else, I was surprised (and thrilled) to be able to ride in the front car of the monorail today.

We don’t take the monorail very often (and it wasn’t running several times this summer when we tried) so I was under the impression they no longer let guests in the front car, but I saw a family getting out and inquired and they told us it was possible. My son had never done it before and was so excited!

We did the same in June! We were waiting on it at DTD to go into the park late afternoon, but we weren't able to get on the car we were waiting for. So we ended up being at the front of the line for the next car and we asked if we could sit in the front car when we saw a family coming out. Ended up working out nicely for us since it was hot and we got A/C the whole way in.
