That's what DD and DSIL did -- they got married here at the end of Sept --

My favorite pic! The 2 males that DD is leaning between are her big brother 27ds & her little brother 9ds, 16dd is the girl on the far right. --

This weekend was chaotic. Had 9am birthday party for DD12 to see a special screening of Alvin and the Chipmunks. Church concert for DD7 on Saturday afternoon and evening then again two more performances on Sunday. Then off to the mall for a school chorus concert. Then DD12 had to go to rehearsal for their Spring show.

I love my new camera and being able to take shots without flash.

Roger, that's pretty good for an available light photo in what I believe are dim lighting conditions. Plus... Your little one looks like shes' giving "her all" in belting out her tunes! How beautiful!

PIRATE 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIE''

Love and huggs from London

Bet she is still drunk from the Dismeet on Sunday in NY!

Agree, isnt it peacefull!

But I get a feeling, he is lurking!!!

In a British Christmas pantomime they would shout out!

''Where is he'''

''He is behind you''

Cheers to whom-ever is Paula's Secret benefactor!

I'm really worried about Crash now, you are just channelling too much Crashness for this to be a good thing...

Now seven questions to ask you.

:rolleyes1
1/ What is your favorite Smiles

2/ What was your favorite post by Captain Crash.

3/ What was your favorite Question by CC

4/ When was your first kiss

5/ What have you nicked from the Disney Magic

6/ What have you taken through customs , when you should have declared it?

7/ When does the case come up in court?
Now

Oh Boy! I actually get to reply on 7 questions which were not originated by ME! Thanks Andrew!

1) Favorite SMILIES.... well... I'd have to say something that moves and pokes a little fun too... lke the Albert Einstein images with tounge sticking out

2) Well - in recent memory I'd say it would have to be the one that got me censured by the DIS police... yanno... the Union Jack designed candy bikini briefs

3) My favorite question(s) were ones with a Monty Pyton like origin - like "what is your favorite color? BLUE... er, no RED.... oh Nooooo! ArrrrgH! To understand this you're gonna have to rent the movie if ya havn't seen this before.

4) Ooo... the 1st kiss. I don't actually recall THAT as it's sort of a vague and distant memory. There wuz a lot goin' on when that 1st kiss happened. I CAN say that I have only kissed my spouse - as she was the ONLY young lady whom I ever kissed, dated or held hand with.

liar.gif.jpg

5) Those treasure chests they had on the ships a few years ago filled with plastic gems... well... we bought a couple in our early DCL cruises - but in recent years we resisted and ... well... one of the kids slipped a few gems she found on the floor into my pockets. I found them later in the evening and did not bother returning them. I know - technically it's petty penny ante theft - but if I did not do the deed then I believe technically I'm still .... INNOCENT! Now-a-days I do NOT allow the kids to slip out of a store with anything and I've obviously admonished them about taking things found in a store. We take NOTHING... except money (coins usually) found on the floor. Once, Julianna found a $20 bill in a swimming pool at a hotel. No one else was there so we did keep that one.

6) Nothing ... unless you're gonna count that Bently Azure I picked up in Grand Cayman a couple of weeks ago. So HEY!, I got it fer chump change - stuff like dat doesn't have to be mentioned.... does it?

bently.jpg

7) Ahem... currently I am free of pending litigation. I remain SCOTT FREE and INNOCENT! Well... at least free of pending litigation which I'd be contesting that is. I just got a ticket for running a red lite which I'll not be contesting.

strad100.jpg

OK... enuf with trying to catch up a bit here. I gotta go now.... cheers til later this evening! ... maybe I'll be back to lurk while I continue to read backwards... :surfweb:

Okay, so a thread with more than 82,000 posts is a bit intimidating, but I"m here to say that we just booked the Eastbound PC cruise! We are beyond excited! We wanted a Cat. 9 but there was only one 11 available. We took it and will continue to look for a 9. If we don't get it we don't get it...we're just thrilled to be onboard! There will be me(43), DH(42), DD(16) and DS(13). :wave2:

Welcome aboard:yay: . Capt'n we have some more pirates for the crew.pirate:

My DS is 13 as well.

Roger, I guess I missed your pictures back there somewhere. What camera did you get?
Jay bought me the Nikon D40X this past weekend. Ritz Camera had it on sale, with two different lenses, a bag, photography classes ( which I NEED) and some other things, for $799.
   I thrilled to bits, and can't wait to get someplace fun (like DISNEYLAND!!) to take some good shots.

Now this is not really intended for the faint of heart - nor is it really for MOST men... but here we go....

T-shirt%20for%20site%20copy.jpg

Now I don't think I should get censured for this - right? Or wrong? ;) But just "in case".... I'll leave my siggy off.... :rolleyes1

Hi Gang,
I'm trying to get everything done here in L.A. before I leave on Fri to drive up north to San Francisco. I'll be up there for 3+ weeks - I'll have time to catch up w/friends & family before I head back here for my final "tour of duty" as "Grandma Nanny."

Stacey - sorry to hear about Jay - I read about it just after I bandaged my finger that I whacked w/chef's knife slicing potatoes!! Deep cut too - not in Jay's league though!!

party: party: WELCOME party: party: To all our new crew!!

Oh, Julie - you'll be here in So.CAL while I'm in NoCal - bummer!! I would've liked to get together. Maybe I should try to fit in a visit to NYC before the TOAL??!!

Gotta Run ---- Happy Holidays Everyone!!!

OW! You gave me the shivers when I read that. That hurts! Probably more than his did. Paper cuts and knife cuts like that are the worst.
But I'm a big baby too.

Well we are back from a very long day at DL. Weather was cool but made for a nice day. Took 350 pictures, will get to sharing some tomorrow. I think we almost had a mini-meet. DW thinks that she saw Crash and his family having lunch in Tomorrowland but by the time that see came to collect us off of Autopia they were gone. Was that you Crash? Talk to you all in the AM.

Tom (CaptCrash) did you see this in your skimming? Was that you?

Stace congrats on the new camera. I was looking at the D40X and the Cannon Xti. I am not one to be carrying around a lot of equipment and therefore went for a bridge camera Olympus SP560. Has a 28-486mm lens with ISO50-6400. I know that I will not get the image quality as you but I don't have room in my suitcase for all of the lenses. I still believe that its not the camera but the photographer.

And she is busy getting pics as we speak! Watch out Crash!

Oooo..... that's OK. As I realllllly enjoy seeing new images being posted. Especially FUN ones!

Tom (CaptCrash) did you see this in your skimming? Was that you?

Yes,

We were in Tomorrowland having lunch on .... this past Sunday. We were in the area behind the Jedi show with old friends. This is a common hang out area for us.

We'll be at DL / CA again on January 1st, 2nd and 3rd. OK to PM me for a cell number to meet up fer lunch or possibly dinner - depending on your schedule and timing. You know how dynamic and unpredictable those DL visits can be - as we sometimes leave earlier or stay longer then planned. We're pretty happy go lucky sorts.

OK... believe it or not - now that its' not raining I'm gonna put up christmas lights now.

She didn't mean any disrespect to anyone. Personally I don't see her point of view as being much different that perhaps say someone that celebrates Christmas by giving and receiving gifts (getting into masses of debt), having a huge meal or series of them and buckets of booze without a single thought all day for the actual purpose of the day itself. This unfortunately is just about everyone I know and work with.

The only people I know well, that actually celebrate the birth of Jesus is my brother and his family. This is the main reason we don't see them on Christmas day as they go to church and celebrate with my SILs family who are very religious.

I'm not religious, so I don't celebrate it. I get a light hearted bashing from friends and workmates occasionally teasing me about not doing anything on Christmas day. I can't see how eating and drinking to excess is anything to aspire to.

Sorry gone slightly off topic and I mean no disrespect to any one of any faith or belief by anything I've said in the above. Its just an observation. New Zealand, as a supposedly Christian country, during the last census, there were more people who put "Jedi" as a religion than any other faith. Perhaps it says something about NZ culture ... ?

Jedi? huh! That is interesting. I wonder what holiday they would celebrate???? And how????

Why of course. I did purchase a bag at Target the other day and the ST ate most of them again. Sometimes you can't win around here.:rotfl2:

That's a great entrance to this thread, CraftyMouse . . . make the rest of us look bad for not including Todd's picture . . .:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Right decision not to stroke his ego too much, though . . .

Welcome again:goodvibes

Hi everyone! It seems (& is) an age since I lasted dropped by. Life has been frantic with the usual run of the mill stuff made worse with the loss of 2 CDs containing sensitive info which was & still is well publicised in the uK press. My gran (who is 89) had another fall & fractured her femur so it has been pinned, but she has since suffered a small stroke & is very confused. Admittedly it hasn't helped that the hospital she is in appears to be trying to encourage her to "meet her maker" by hooking her up to a drip of fluids & anyibiotics & then letting it run dry and not refresh it! As the end of term of approaches for all the various activities we seem to be meeting ourselves coming the other way with all the rushing around! Have however managed to get all the girls gifts wrapped and being caretaked by a neighbour as Lauren is still trying to decide fact from fiction!

I see that excursions are now up so I can spend an evening or 2 selecting what I fancy! It's been that busy I haven't even had chance to look to see whether we have a cabin# yet! As there seem to have been openings, I'm hopeful!

Anyway, if I don't get on before the 25th, have a great Xmas all & I hope to be a more frequent visitor come the New Year

Seasonal wishes

Celestine & family

Hope your gran gets to feeling better soon. Hopefully your life will calm down a bit. Merry Christams to you too.:goodvibes
