I beg to differ... "I" think I am quite INNNOCENT.

OK... I gotta go now - busy weekend and I'll not be paying ten bucks for hotel internet access - so I'll be back most likely next week. I guess I'llget kicked around a little more between now and then. Ouch!... that was quick! Well now - it's gettin' pretty tough on this playground...!

I have to share a picture of my grandaughter Genevieve from Thanksgiving!!! If anyone asks her name she answers" I am Princess Genevieve," even to Cinderella.:rotfl2: There is a Barbie Doll named Princess Genevieve. She wears a crown around the house everyday!!! She just turned 3 but sometimes she talks like 33.:rolleyes1

Looks likes some furnaces will be running in Florida for a few days.........

I got an e-mail from Walt yesterday telling me today's high was only going to be around 60* or so in Lake County, FL.

At this point, I'd gladly welcome a 60* day...............

When Dh and I first got married, I wanted to celebrate some of the Jewish holidays as well as the Christian, so I asked my DH what his family did to celebrate Rosh Hashana. He shrugged his shoulders and said "Eat brisket":lmao: :lmao:

Needless to say his mother is quite annoyed with him:rolleyes:

:rotfl: :rotfl: SIL told me that they were just Jewish for the holidays....

I think we need to do some  brainstorming about non-DCL excursions. I have heard several that want to go Zip-lining in PV but their kids are to young for DCLs version. There was a group a couple of 100 pages or so ago, there was a bunch of us talking about the pirate ship snorkel trip in Aruba. This was spearheaded by Mark (DisneyPilot) who has done this and highly recommended it. DCL does not have this listed. Anyway, I think it is time we have some kind of sign up list for those that would like to make up their own excursions. It still might be early but if we can get a rough head count we can contact the vendors as to availability. What do you say pirate: s?

We watched Travel Channel's show on Freedom of the Seas the other night where they had a segment on the Zip-line at the one of the ports. Much to my surprise, DD really wants to do this. I just thought she would be too chicken. So DD and I would love to join a non-DCL group. My DH is too big but he won't mind if we go off on our own for a bit.

I'm with M; the "hurry up and wait" that goes with the ship sponsored excursions drives me nuts. I learned that on my first cruise with DCL. Last time we did the Brig Unicorn in St Lucia, but you had to do that with DCL since they chartered it for the day. Besides, the pirate ship was docked on the same pier as the Magic, so it was painless.

At one point I signed up to research the Panama Canal for this cruise with the very best of intentions. I started off looking up a few things on the internet but wanted more. I bought "The Path Between Two Seas". I dutifully started reading. Then I found out I was going to have to train some people in how to program this specialized product we have that only a couple of us here know how to program.
I tried to pick it up again and it came upon our very busy time at work and I had to dig out the book from being buried on my desk to even type the title above. Needless to say - not much progress.
Tonight I am on my next attempt. I bought a good little book titled "Panama Canal By Cruise Ship". What I have read so far it is precise and gets to the point. I will try to post some wisdom on the PC the next couple of weeks. OR.... I wil make no progress and come back edit this post of any information regarding me and the PC. :lmao:

Coral, it sounds like you are putting a lot of effort into your pc information! I really hope they have that same woman that came onboard last time. She was a wealth of information. DCL was also great with narration as we cruised through the canal. And the mimosas they served us that morning were a wonderful way to start the day. I wish there was a port stop included so we could explore Panama, but I'm not complaining. All in all it was a wonderful day, it is really interesting seeing how the locks work.

Here are a couple of scrapbook pages I made of our trip. I don't have too many of our pc pictures in my shutterfly account.

I agree Tracy, they are too funny.:rotfl:

This sentence reminds me of a story, I was working away from home last January and I had a voice message from my FIL saying that Robert had been injured and was in hospital. I was really concerned as I knew he was going out for a bike ride that day and assumed he'd come off his bike.

Anyway, once I made contact it turned out that he'd survived the bike ride unscathed and upon returning home, had a shower. As he was getting dried, he somehow, with his towel, knocked a pot plant off the windowsill. As it fell, it landed on his foot and broke. It severed the tendon in his foot (his little toe to be precise).

He was off work for 4 weeks as at the time he was a Librarian so most of the day was on his feet. The foot injury was not half as bad as the boredom that followed with not being able to go to work

So, showers and bathrooms can be dangerous places so maybe Trevoy should wear that helmet 24/7 :rotfl2:

Ok, I am now wondering what kind of people we are cruising with:rotfl2:

I couldn't read The Path Between the Seas as I'm not a very fast reader and I lose interest easily. I did get the book on CD and listened on my way to work. It was a very good book and gave me a lot of insight on the history of the canal. Made me appreciate it even more when we went through.

Paula, I didn't realize you were on the August cruise with us last time! I recognize many of your pictures (mine look the same LOL).

Yes, I was Tracy. That is one reason I wanted to do the cruise again this time. I am just glad that Adam gets to come this time around. Last time football and school caused him not to be able to come:sad2: :goodvibes .

I wanted to do it again because 1) I loved the days at sea and 2) All new ports except Acapulco and Castaway Cay :cool1: :cool1: I hope we'll get to meet you this time, sometime in the 20 days on the ship :woohoo: :woohoo:
