Candlelight Processional Readers??

It probably has to do with the celebrity and star narrators have ever changing schedules. When a great, career making job comes in for them, Disney doesn't want to have to constantly announce schedule changes. That would piss off or disappoint people more, who purposely booked to see them, than just waiting to October, once the celebrities' schedules are pretty much set for the end of the year.

And even then, there are occasional schedule changes, right up to when the program starts.

To be honest, I have only had one narrator who I didn’t enjoy in decades of attending the show and they are no longer living so they won’t be back. (Not that they were horrible, but they didn’t seem to want to be there when most narrators are enthusiastic .) I have seen big stars and relative unknowns. These days, I plan around my schedule and I see who I see. Many times my dates have been TBA until very close to the show dates and it still went well.

It’s nice when the stars align and you get to see one of your favorites, but trying to schedule your entire trip around a specific narrator won’t be easy. The only suggestion I can offer is perhaps to look at the last decade and see if the narrator you want tends to visit around the same time every year. For example, if they consistently narrate sometime during the second week of December (sometimes early in that week, sometimes later), then you could plan your trip for that week to maybe have a better chance of them being there when you are. Not a guarantee, of course, but it’s the only thing I can think of to improve your odds.

October 14 - dining packages open. Hope not to have the debacle like we had last year - site down for hours and dates populating slowly. Looking forward to (hopefully) seeing Constance Wu!

In past years we've seen Courtney Vance and Josh Gad. <3 both of them.

Looking forward to maybe catching Henry Winkler at the beginning of our stay and definitely will have to catch Brendan Fraser later on. 👍

Henry Winkler will also be the narrator when I'm there...new one. I've seen quite a few over the years, some multiple times - Blair Underwood, Whoopi Goldberg, Neil Patrick Harris, Draymond John, Gary Sinise, Edward James Olmos - last year, I ended up with Ralph Macchio in his first year. The Fonz will be another new one.

That's a great list! Each one brings something a little bit different to the narration. I bet Winkler is going to be another good one.

I'm lucky to live fairly close and be DVC and AP - I'm up there every December. I could technically expand the list of the narrators I saw passing by - on trips or days I didn't attend the Candlelight but could still see and hear the narrator.

I wonder if Winkler will have any guests. It was cute to see during Ralph Macchio's debut that some of the cast of Cobra Kai were there in the audience supporting him.

We have been lucky enough for last few years to visit when candlelight processional is scheduled, walking over from BWV easily. We did Trattoria restaurant years ago with the package, a little expensive but completely worth it.
