I arrive about 1pm ,hope to do some sleep on the flight, go to the hotel and maybe get into Disneyland for at least the fireworks that night,

I know they are 'testing' T5 now they asked for volunteers to go and pretend to fly,

PS

The weekend starts here and i am off work for a week!!!:thumbsup2

When you 'pretend to fly', do you have to deal with a BA agent after they pretend to lose your imaginary luggage? After all, that would make LHR more realistic.

Observation from my couch (while watching ballgame): Youkilis is just a sweaty scary man. Not just home run scary, like serial killer scary.

:rotfl2: Ya know I really thought it was raining out when I first saw that until the announcers stated he was sweating!

I don't need to worry about my siggie being cut off because I don't have one. In my 140 posts I have tried many times to add a snazzy REPO banner, but I have failed every time.
I would like to share my happy moment of the day. My highlight at WDW is the Wishes Fireworks at the MK. We were there this summer and my DH secretly bought me the CD. He gave it to me as a surprise this morning. I listened to it 4 times today on my way to and from work. I love it so much. :goodvibes

Awwwww what a sweet DH!!!

:rotfl2: Staying at home is an honorable thing.:rotfl2:

Yes it is...thank you very much! :goodvibes

As one tanner from another, I do know better too. I just like being tan instead of pasty white like I am all winter. :rolleyes1 I thing you need a big hug too.:flower3:

Aw thanks Cheryl, but really I was just whining about having to get up early & stuck with a needle. I'm like that ya know? ;) Really if anything they will remove a mole from my back & that's about it. Unfortunately it won't be the first time. Doc wasn't overly concerned so I'm not either.

Yes I agree vacation tans are required! (Plus, I don't like to wear alot of makeup and the sun helps with that)

Well, I have been going twice a week now for almost 3 months. My psorasis is showing some improvement. Dr. said it takes about 16-18 treatments before I would notice any improvement. I started out at a whopping 11 seconds and I am up to 1min 6sec.. (time will continue to increase up to about 30 minutes) It is just the UVB rays. I am hoping it continues to improve. His office is close, I walk from work. If it wasn't and I had to drive to an appointment for that small of a treatment I think I would explore some other avenues. He wanted to put me on Enbrel for it, but at 1500-2000 per month--I said no thanks. (One of the drawbacks to being self employed). i am going to give the light treatments until the 1st of the year and see how my skin looks.

Hoping for the best for you! :wizard:

Cheryl it looks like a stand up tanning bed, but has UVB lights in it instead of the UVA. :)

Yes & although I don't have psoriasis, I've also read that it helps with damage to the skin. I'll have to look into more.

I believe they have a light overhead and shine it in your eyes while a big German nurse says "Ve have vays uf makinking you tan"

:rotfl:

Recovery has been worse then I ever thought it would be. Some things I wasn't prepared for............5 % of people who have this done have some things happen afterwards and well I was one of the lucky 5 %. It's really awful to tell and trust me you don't want to know. Couple of days after operation I developed a cold. Still trying to get rid of it !!!

It was nice to have my Mom here for a week. I missed my DD homecoming.:sad1: My Mom took plenty of pics though.:thumbsup2 Here is one and while she was here she made Dante a sweater coat. He loves it !!

More news to follow in next post.:surfweb:

Darn............can't get image up from photobucket.

Glad to see you back Tina, but sorry you're recovery has not been going that great!

Yeah.............got it to load.

Oh she is so beautiful! princess: Dante is cute too! :cutie:

o.k now for my big news and trust me I just found out this today and I am still thinking to myself wow wasn't expecting this at all.

I haven't worked in 5 years for various reasons, one I am lucky that I don't have to but most important I have had alot of health problems over the years.

I think they are finally getting behind me.:goodvibes

Chuck called me to tell me someone want's me to interview for a job !!!
I know this person and Chuck's boss said it would be no conflict since I wouldn't be near Chuck's end of business. He would not be my boss.

They want to hold the position open till I recover and set up a interview in a week or 2.

It's a great opportunity, great pay and something I know about and would have fun doing.

Basically Chicago would be divided into 3 zones and I would be in charge of one zone.

Not sure how many people would be working for me yet, but I am excited and nervous about the challenge.

My title would be a source manager, not sure I could go into to much on here without breaking any rules.

I just got clearance to drive but I still tire easily. So now I will rest up and tweek my resume and see what happens.:)

Woohoo sounds like a fantastic opportunity...keep us updated! :thumbsup2

Adding my fluff now.:rotfl2:

Tom: No brainer if it's a problem then I will take toal over job. I wasn't looking for one it found me. I don't think it will be a problem. Fingers crossed in saying that.

Yes you certainly have your priorities straight! :thumbsup2

So if I am going to stay up until almost 1 am on a school night, the least the Tribe could do is win the stinkin' game. grumble grumle grumble

Sorry but you know I can't let that go without saying.....GO SOX!!!

Actually no, I figured Cheryl came on to post that everything wen't well in surgery.:confused3 She did call when I was home but I was sleeping and heavily medicated. Have fun this morning. I have started to eat REAL food again and boy is that good and also weird at the same time.

I believe she did, but we were still discussing how we missed you! :goodvibes

Well hello everyone..............I am back.:thumbsup2 First thank you for the PD & prayers, I did feel them. I just answered all my pm's. Wow some were a month old.:surfweb: Lot's to tell but first...............To all the birthdays I have missed.

Tina glad to see you are back and on the road to recovery. :cheer2: :cheer2:

In honor of TGIF I thought we could play another round of Pirate Picture Scavenger Hunt (PPSH). This weeks list is a little harder and I hope that there will not be a repeat of the Deck 10 soda machine mix-up. So therefore the use of Photo Shop will not be allowed. Savvy!

2. Man over board ring (lifesaver) from the Magic

3. Animators Palate without people

This sounds like a wonderful developement indeed! Your lucky stars must be shining upon ya', eh? ... So let's keep that "good music" coming!

Hi Everyone!

I've been off-line here for a few weeks - life just got insanely busy. Mostly the usual stuff and now the PTO stuff thrown in also. I think I was last on before our quick weekend at the family cabin - we had fun and the weather wasn't too bad for late September in Northern Wisconsin. Since then, I've been going to meetings, creating a PTO website, all the usual running DS8 around to his lessons and making sure he gets his homework done. Oh year, work too! For some reason I have to take several hours out of my day to do my job ;)

I've tried to Ketchup - but I only went back to the beginning of this week. If anything super important happened in the first part of October, let me know!

I noticed Crash did another 7-Questions, so here's my answers:

1) What is your SHOE SIZE? 6 or 6.5

2) What is your favorite television show or series? This is hard, because I watch very little TV - I do enjoy watching Mythbusters with DS

3) What is your favorite big screen MOVIE? Star Wars (the original 1st movie)

4) What was your favorite subject and class in school/college/post grad school? Really hard one - My problem was that I liked so many of them! I loved most math and science, history, philosophy, literature, etc.

5) Where/how did you 1st meet your SO (or last hot date?) ... I kno ... its' a potentially a loaded question. This one is a little embarrasing - we don't know! We know we met at college, but we had a group of mutual friends and neither of us can remember exactly when we met.

6) Have you ever broken any bones? How? Yes, I broke a bone in my foot jumping rope (in clogs!) when I was in 3rd grade. (Wooden soled clogs were really in back in the early 70's)

7) Do you have a favorite flavor of ice cream (substitute any dessert if desired) Peppermint Candy

I also had an email from Julie Martin from the Dis Podcast and my email was read on this weeks listener email show, the show hasn't been posted but will be within the next few hours so you may want to check it out :cool1:

I don't know if you'll see this Paula, but I listed to the podcast today and when I heard the email I wondered if it was you!

...and between 20 years of figure skating and a birth defect, I have the hips of an 80 year old woman.

I only figure skated for 8 years and never competed, but I'm told that my knees are at least 15 years older than the rest of me! My chiropractor first started commenting on them about 10 years ago and got me to start doing excersizes to build the muscles around the knees. So far, they are doing pretty good so I think that has helped. However, it is probably something you have to start "early" before the knees really start hurting...

Now, a few things I forgot to multi-quote.

Crash - I like the Secret Santa idea - how do we sign up?

Also, I'm sorry I don't remember who it was, but I liked the door magnet idea (although I'm not sure there is enough room on my door after my magnets)

Castoff - Welcome back, I'm glad you are recovering. Great picture of Brooke (and she isn't trying to hide from the camera!!)

Lastly, Happy Birthday to all those I missed. Pixie dust to all who need it. Healthy thoughts to all those recovering from stuff and with bad knees!

I soooo wish I could access photobucket at work, 1/2 of them I have in my account!

My DS 10 loves Mythbusters (I do too!)

When you 'pretend to fly', do you have to deal with a BA agent after they pretend to lose your imaginary luggage? After all, that would make LHR more realistic.

At Heathrow when you 'pretend to fly' they give you tickets you get on a plane on time:thumbsup2 and you get the seat you want :thumbsup2 and the plane leaves on time :thumbsup2 and the luggage isn't lost :thumbsup2 and is given back to you in better condition from when you gave it in:thumbsup2 and the food is great!:thumbsup2

Now, when you 'actually fly' the experience might not be 100% to that DREAM!:rotfl2:
