Well, I suppose it won't be the first time I've talked to myself.

I used to get a lot of enjoyment out of it, but then people started asking for bears made from their Great Aunt Bessies "mink" coat and wanted them dressed in certain colors, etc. It just took the pleasure out of it and turned it into a job instead. I had one guy that wanted me to make a pair of unicorns dressed in renissance(sp) period clothes...:lmao: I think not!

When it stops being fun, it's time to stop. Good for you.

Tho' to be fair to the Unicorn guy - sometimes stuffies in period clothes (if done correctly) can be pretty cute. I'm working on a doll now for my daughter with a Victorian wardrobe.

Hey Crash,
How are your little girls ballet lessons going?

I collect porcelain dolls myself. And I love the Victorian time period. My bedroom set is from the 1880's.

Oh well, at least my post count will go up. :rotfl:

My family do period re-creations. Every December we spend our weekends in Victorian London on Christmas Eve. It's a lot of fun.

Happy birthday Mitchell!!!

We have a Fezziwig's party, an Adventurer's Club, a music hall, carolers (that's what I do), and a dockside dive called Mad Sal's (where the lowlife scum hang out).

Hey Debi,
I know what you're talking about w/something you love becoming a job. MANY years ago I had a catering business - I loved preparing yummy goodies for parties. But, then it became "Oh yes put it over there - here's your check. Now I only cook for friends and loved ones!!!

Thank you for all your hard work.

Have you thought about sizing for an adult chest logo and then using that as a back logo for a kids shirt? Of course, that would still leave two logo sizes - Adult Front and Back & kids back. Oh well, just a thought.

Anyway, we're looking at "just in time" for ordering, and probably only in the black (2A + 1K)

Please keep in mind that there is art work for the Front and Back of the t s***....

Here is a reminder of the front and the back .....

Tom if you could ...Please post these on the website so people can see there what the shirts look like

Now ...just cause some people were asking and Esteri brought this up ...Some people have asked about Red ...as you can see below the red washes out some of the logo ...Now the Dye thing might be okay but personally thats why white and black go so well with this ....Plus I know some of you have said Black would be hot , well Red would be hot as well ...but anyway ..I am sticking to black and white for myself (these be True Pirate Colors) but I just wanted to show you what we ment by washing out some of the logo ...

Red Back

So there you go ....Tom again if you could add the black and white versions to the website ....If you look at the red logod shirts those are the cleaned up logos that are going on the shirts ...the black and white versions are older but the new logos will be on the black and white shirts but I didnt have time to change them on my village photo account ...LOL

The odds of being struck by lightning are 1 in 83,930

The odds of being struck twice by lightning twice are 1 in 9,000,000+

The odds of a meteor landing on your house are 1 in 182,138,880,000,000

You might wonder why I am posting these odds. :confused3 It is because even though these are long odds they can still happen.

I say that because it appears now that the odds of the Dodd family making this TOAL are really, really slim. :sad2: Things with our schedule for our work make it almost impossible to go. So impossible that we really have decided to rearrange our vacation plans for 2008.

The one slim chance is if we get transferred again after only two years. If that were to happen it would be announced in May of 2008 just a week before the 90 day mark for the TOAL. Coincidence? Maybe and maybe not. If that happens then we will see if it can be possible but the odds are slim.

But for right now we are making new plans for other TOALs. Like Andy the VM I do plan to stay on this thread but not quite as active as before. I do have another thread for our December cruise that needs attention.

Also I am going to make the September 3rd meet at DTD. :woohoo:

Thanks for all the fun times. I really wanted to make this cruise.

Sorry Captain pirate: but Mr Gibbs has to miss this sailing. :sad1:

Sorry to here this Mr Gibbs , make sure you dont hide the rum so I can find it ..LOL

you will be missed
