Ok how much would you charge to do this?? :rotfl2: I am not that talented to even think of doing that.. still have a problem with threading a needle and drawing a straight line..

Noooo, not the kind of thing I would consider doing for money! But I did do one for my oldest son as his HS graduation present last year with his swimming t-shirts. I guess you could say I cheated as I used a rotary cutter and I machine quilted everything, but it did take time!

Only problem is now I have set a precedent; I must make one for the other two when the time comes!!

Do you have old t-shirts from the parks? You can make a quilt with t-shirts! Cut all the fronts into squares the same size, then edge with fabric strips about 3" wide, then sew together to the size you desire, add batting and back fabric. Hand or machine quilt around the t-shirt design. You can self bind or use packaged binding.

I don't really have many WDW T-shirts - DS has a few, but he wears them until they fall apart! Of course, there is also that I can't sew worth a darn :rotfl2: . I can sew on a button if I must and I managed to get DS's badges on his boyscout shirt (although I had bloody fingers doing it!) but that is about the extent of my abilities.

This could be done with any kind of t-shirt:

I can sew, but I gotta admit, those badges were a nightmare! Sooo hard to get through the badge!

Cool room! I love the bedding.

DS8 had decided that he wants a "Disney Theme Parks" theme to his new bedroom. We still have a couple other projects were working on before we get there, but I've been starting to try and think what we are going to do with this. I've been watching for good high-res photos of the parks (There was a good Epcot globe here a few days ago that I may beg for!) and I'm thinking of printing them as large "posters" for the walls. We also looked at the Art of Disney store last month when we were down there a few weeks ago and they do have prints of attraction posters. I'm also thinking of trying to be artsy-crafty and making some sort of collage from some of our WDW paper stuff (ie Epcot masks, Magical moment certificate, ride photos, park maps, etc.) Another idea was a special shelf for all the different Mickey ears (his first "baby" sized ones, First Haircut from the barbershop, DisneySea graduation, golden ears, etc.). However, I'm pretty stuck other than the walls. I suppose Mickey lamps, curtains, etc. probably count even thought they aren't exactly "theme park"....

Sorry for rambling! Seeing your cool Mickey bedroom just caused all this to burble back up into my brain :rotfl2:

My DS had a disney 4 pc mural when he was a toddler. We got it around 1982 and I haven't seen anything like it since. The cool thing was you could take the bottom half or the top half and run it around the room if wanted.

OMG....I got a TAG!!!!

Does everyone see my tag?????

I'm so excited, I got a TAG.

THANKS TF!!!!!

We did that for the grandkids by painting the characters etc on a white cloth, and outling quilting. But that is an arduous task.Very difficult to manuever all that fabric plus the batting.Alot was done by hand. It truly was a work of love and patience.

Wow, Arlene, hand quilting! Those are family treasures! Lucky grandchildren!

My neighbor Sam was in trouble again, this time for forgetting his wedding anniversary. His wife was really angry! She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in less than 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE!! "

The next morning Sam got up and left the house very early. When his wife woke up she looked out the window and sure enough there was a gift-wrapped box in the middle of the driveway. Confused, the wife put on her robe, went out to the driveway, and brought the box back in the house. She opened it and inside found a brand new bathroom scale.

Sam has been missing since Friday. Please pray for him!

Thought this was fitting after the trying to be good discussion! ;)

I told my DH that I was canceling the kids music lessons for next Thursday because we were busy. He asks me with what ?? I tell him to look at the calendar (on the side of our fridge). He comes back, looking
We are going to WDW on Friday to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, but the actual date is Thursday
We've been so busy talking about the trip we forgot the actual day:confused3 It was funny seeing his reaction, maybe I'll score some jewelry for this:thumbsup2

I was going to do something like this for my DD when she gets older. I'm hanging on to favorite shirts that she wears and as she grows out of them I'm saving them in my sewing room. I'l make patches out of them & put them together into a quilt someday...

It made a great graduation present. Maybe a sweet 16 for a girl? See my pic a few frames back.

One of the women on our Dec cruise (Patsy) does these quilts as side work.

Maybe if Lisa sees this she remembers if Patsy had a website.
