Just sort of swinging through abruptly...

... I'm waiting in the lobby here in glorious Visalia at the waiting to meet a friend we're traveling with - we're gonna wander off a few minutes to explore late nite while the girls take care of the little girls - so the boys can get a few minutes to wander...

This past weekend at Yosemite has been BEAUTIFUL... and relatively productive! More later - eh?

OK... gotta run now - adios...

I am glad you are back!!! We miss hearing all your news. How are the knees holding out????

My knees are doing OK and holding up rather well. I've start taking some supplements which seem to help with the stiffness I was having.

Well, it's time to start getting ready for work. I have yet another young fellow to train today. My boss wants to have a few guys to know the system so he can pick and choose from when I am off.

The last 2.5 months have been a real pleasure. He's such a great kid. Although Winnie may not agree

Morning...:surfweb: Happy July.. I leave for WDW and Foodalot in 23 days.. I thought about dieting to look decent in pictures at WDW but then realized that it was senseless.. Might as well stay in "shape" for FOODALOT and then seriously diet so i can fit into my clothes..:rotfl2: :confused3

I made ribs last night and they were AWFUL but it was my own fault i didn't follow the recipe that i got from Esteri on Friday night.. .. I am willing to try again but only with a proven recipe. I think I am going to throw out the left over ribs if no one will eat them at dinner tonight. It was funny 'cause Eric was very concerned that I didn't have enough ribs only 1/2 slab for each.... each boy wanted a slab at least and now I have slab and 1/2 left over..LOL they were really BAD.

Morning everyone:goodvibes

Andy , loved the pics!! Glad to see ya back.

Roger, hope the weather holds out. Have a great cruise.

Off to work :surfweb:

Free rum? Where?
FREE RUM??

Maybe everyone's out seeing Ratatouille - that's what we did today.
we did too.. and then we saw POTC 3 again..

SO what did everyone think of Ratatoulle?

I though it was OK, but I cant see it becoming a blockbuster.
Yep I agree.. not as much fun as cars or Nemo. Not sure that a young child would even like it..

Wouldn't this be cute on a t-shirt?

Hello -
I have been soooooo busy have not had time to post - I admit to stopping by to "lurk" now & then.

Besides just an overloaded schedule - I'm also trying to get ready for the EB Repo cruise next month.

Beated :bday: to everyone I missed.

And -  and pixiedust: to those in need. To those of you dealing w/ST's & PST's - hang in there - good parenting is really, really hard work.
Andy, you & Hazel must be so proud - those pics of Angelina are beautiful.

Happy Vacations - & I hope everyone is enjoying the summer so far.

Checking in from Mountain Home, Idaho

Hey you drive safe now - you hear??

Sounds like the ferry trip was quite the adventure. We should think about doing it some time. George fell in love with Alaska during our cruise up there and wants to take a float plane into one of the National park cabins sometime.

Where'd you get the $67 digital camera? I've been wanting to get something for Jakob in that price range and have been striking out.

I would recommend the ferry for anyone on a budget. You can't think "cruise" but it is a very nice way to relax for a few days and have no obligation other than watch the world go by (unless you have a dog to walk at 3am!). We met several people who spent about a week driving the AlCan Highway from the west coast to Skagway, AK, then spent 5 days getting back to WA state with us.

I haven't been in a float plane, but we did land on a glacier on skis at about 10,000 feet near Denali (Mt. McKinley). Yahoo! It was fun.

OK - now someone pick MR and all the others who are afraid to fly up off the floor!

DS8 bought his digital camera at WallyMart. It is a Digital Concepts 4.2 mega pixel. It zooms a bit and it is a pretty good starter camera. Not great, but good enough and cheap enough for an 8yo to be in charge of it. The only down side is that the flash takes what seems like forever to re-charge.

Oh and Andy - Angelina is beautiful. Of course we already knew that, but the photos are beautiful!

My mom called me from Kentucky this morning to let me know that Walt's son David (early 50's) passed away from colon cancer.

My mom arrived home in Florida last Wednesday afternoon and by Thursday morning, she and Walt were headed for Kentucky where they arrived Friday afternoon.

David's wife asked Walt to tell David it was OK to let go and be with his mother, while my mom and Walt visited David yesterday. David took a turn for the worse overnight and passed away early this morning. The funeral is set for Friday, then My mom and Walt will be heading back to Florida on Saturday morning.

Lunch time is over, got to get back to the meters, I don't want my helper thinking I forgot about him, LOL!!!

..in the content of finishing up, "are you rhomatic?' series.

...does it matter if somthing else was on yor mind?...heck
if i know..but we enjoy re-telling the storys to our children.
it kind of funny re-living our lil'~tugs of the :rose:s .

:squirrel: , this lil'guy sorta wrapped up all my expectations when
it came to dating my li' miss cutie pie. obviously, she had other
ideas.

what i remember....strongly..was the way she was dressed..when
i picked her up..western style, in those "snuggle tight"...chic
jeans...& a red plaid/foxy blossom top...with a necklace ending
around ...the afternoon delights....and her cute lil' cowgirl's boots.
she ~ woke me up ,right then!...[early morning, after staying
on the osu campus..partying with friends...for the big game!' ]

talking about great "pie fillings"-:flower3: * if her mother ( who never did
like me)...could "read" my mind...we would never made it out the front
door.

do you all remember lil'things from your first date? pssst, i bet the guys
will list the ..dispaopointment...not that there's anything wrong with that
...presistent, is a good thing to be during dating...ya think?

...years later, i asked her...didn't you get "me" ? brushing up against
your leg..telling yor family...it was time to leave *[after the date],
..as to walking outside?..:rolleyes1 , "yep, i knew what you was
up to ....so that's why my lil'flame redirected, "por me" out the
door...:confused3, sometimes...young ladies don't get "it"!
she { my lil miss cutie...told me she prompted her lil 'sis to stay all
night---- } ****

"no more chocolate~kisses for you!"...well, maybe the extra large
ones...& you wanta know something..else?..she didn't even shared it!
///with her lil'sister...she hide it...somthing she does to this day, :snooty:

yes!!, she has a lil'sister..who didn't moved one inch after we got back...
even with brides... ( remember-i keep lil'chocolate treats in my
pockets...?)..sorry but true.

my advice to my sons...don't date girls with lil'sisters....or double the
booty! pirate:

...to me , being rhomatic...require having robert reford's looks,
nah, i don't fool myself..but i liked his style and ways of putting
signals out there...kind like fishing, so what the pixiedust: !...one
must works with their God given talents...immediately, there something
sweet ...to the "phase'r" [my mother used to stuns us all the time}-
cleaniness is next to GOdness...it was presented as a good thing,
:thumbsup2 . .....however, where did i get the idea for giving my
dates...lil'surprises?

a lil more  , in it came from what my dad told me how to
pick up girls...."pinned a $ 2o (ok-some 30 years ago)..with
half of it hanging out, your breast pocket...& walk back/forth,
you'll get some attentions...true. so that's where my rhomatic
side came from...

& i used to read those "women mags"....stories on finding the
"right-prefect" guy, :rolleyes1 . * so it didn't take long to see where
offerings of chocolate came from..after valentine day..i loaded up!
:hippie:

then i went with the attitude..out to have some fun!....doing fun things,
* guys..there are alot of neat/free adventures to be had....on one,
adventure..we went to cripple creek, colorado.

so iam rho"man"tic? i guess it depends who iam with..let say-- i
doing the hings...that makes my lil'miss princess: @ heart.....happy!
it was like when we went to poc III, i wore my dcl visor &..old spice!
* nothing wrong with special effects?

if it makes her :cloud9: , then iam :yay: !

movie....? dances with wolves ...as i truly believe we are a part of the
land we come from...always and forever. however, one of the best love
ssequence i ever seen..came from an old disney movie.."the sword in
the stone"....again, the lil' :squirrel: part..was so revealing~ :sad1: .

 ..it was very insightful... how they turned the lil'adventure toward
a lesson in matters of the heart....:teacher: , there a penalty for
playing around & hurting others. listened to wart's reflections.

* now, if i had a magic wand, :wizard: , that could preforms disney~
magic....i would grant a night stay....inside the cindy's castle, pixiedust:
for my lil'miss cutie & our lil'princess: ...

this reminded me, when i was back packing europe & was @ the ludwig's
castle where walt pattern disneyland castle...wouldn't you know it?...
our guide was an American..so i got to explore after hours..neat. &
scary..if you believe in ghosts...and utter nonsense [i do].

i hope all this "talk" isn't scary everyone..away from table mates...

:scared1:

pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

Hey Crew -
On a whim I logged onto the DCL site and looked up my ressie. (Curious to see if cabins had been assigned. :lmao: They haven't.)

The itinerary for the cruise shows NO port calls after the Panama Canal. Aruba and Cartegna have been removed from the itinerary.

Is it real or memorex? Anyone got a clue??

Checking in from Mountain Home, Idaho

Never been to Mountain Home but it is where my mom and dad met (dad was in the air force). Are you stopping at any of the old mining towns along the way to SLC?

I love Idaho and Utah - the mountains are fantastic! Enjoy your travels through the area!

It seems to be a glitch in the system. E-mail the itinerary to yourself and it should show correctly.

Glad to hear that this seems to be a computer glitch... But honestly, I don't expect the itinerary to be set until a month or two before we go (and even then I imagine that there could be changes due to weather).
