Hey Pete what'yd think....do you recommend the Jade East for Paula and family :rotfl2: Is that even still in business????

Paula the Jade East is a "short stay" motel in Pete's neck of the woods in Queens......so I'm just joshing there, but if you want to stay in Manhattan there are alot of really nice hotels near all the Broadway shows. Go to Trip Advisor for real life travellers advice! Of course, you could always stay with us!!!! Though I not convenient to Manhattan or Yankee Stadium, we still love to have you guys!

I am trying to talk the Johns into the Yankee game. Right now I'm losing. If I had the pits to drive to the Bronx, I'd come alone. But I am afraid of the Bronx :scared1:

I love the Westin in Times Square - stayed there a few times during Toy Fair. The Marriott Marquis is also great - right in the middle of Times Square.

Open mouth insert foot.........(We have all been there before)

All of the important things are kept on page 1. We are not really into planning mode--it is way to early for that. We are in the making and growing of friendship mode. This thread has been nonstop since January and it will keep on long after we have arrived back to Port Canaveral.:)

Please pass the Kleenex. Now you have me thinking about after the cruise.

Pete you're so sweet! But I believe 46 yrs 7 mos and 1 day constitutes middle-aged (not that I'm counting or anything) :rotfl2:

Johnna stop feeding Pete "sushi" !!!!!!

He is just too very nice to us PEEPS tonight!

BTW I can be bribed to come to the meet for one of your MOST FAMOUS choco chip cookies. They were YUMMY!!!! I am craving one right about now....

Nice ---most definitely, the nicest !!!!!!!!

church going-----Did you ever clean out the fireplace with Enna?

conservative----by whose standards are we comparing? Yep I would say talking about your gyno appts and waxings makes you pretty conservative.......:lmao: :lmao:

middle aged--- are we talking knights and fair maidens? or are we speaking of the middle of our totallity of years if indeed life is 80-100 years. I would rather talk about Sir Lancelot and his his round table.........

:lmao: Well now that you mention it Judy I guess talking about the Gyno and waxings makes me the opposite of conservative :lmao: And it's Enna that uses the fireplace for ashes.....me, I opened up the offering envelope and used it to eat at IHOP....but that was AFTER church attendance :lmao: Middle-aged unfortunately no denying....and nice, well thank you, but you are far nicer than I! :thumbsup2

Did I offend or horrify Monica's new man???? I'll die if I did!

My DW, Shella, appreciates the birthday wishes.

Hope Lori and Sharon had great days too!

Although I've checked in on the thread here and there, we've been busy. We still need to find DW a job (she was laid off with about 144 other faculty from DeVry). She's got some good leads at other area universities/colleges, but it may move slow as most listings are for starting in the Fall. This is certainly stressful.

Also, we've been planning our WDW trip for last week of June and first week of July. We weren't originally planning two weeks, but family schedules resulted in an extension. Originally, my whole family (total of 16 of us counting parents, sisters, BILs, nephews, nieces, DW, DDs and me) were doing June 22-30th and then my MIL was coming down to join just DDs, DW and me for June 30-July 3rd. Anyway, one of my sisters is an independent pharmacy owner and had problems scheduling another pharmacist to cover for her the week in June, so my family changed to the week of June 30-July 7. DW, DDs and I already had our flights booked for June 22 and decided just to keep them and do a few days with MIL that first week.

We're getting excited. It's been 5 years since our last trip. Our DDs were only 3-1/2 YO and 14 months old, so it's going to be pretty new to them. We only did MK and MGM that trip. It's been almost 8 years since we've been to AK and EPCOT. Our older DD would have been about 10 months old on that one. So, we've never experienced attractions like Soaring, Mission Space, Stich's Escape, Mickey's Philharmonic, the new Nemo/Crush shows, Expedition Everest, Monster's Laugh Factory and probably a few others. Also, hoping to get to one of the Star Wars days at MGM.

We ended up buying a 10-day basic ticket, since they were only about $10 more than a 5 day pass. So, we'll beat 'ole Mickey like a dead horse.

No I think he was probably pre warned about all of us. He did run out to the grocery store after our discussion but I think he just went after a few salad ingredients.......maybe some cucumbers........:lmao: :lmao:

Chocolate chip cookies it is! This time I will bring dark brown sugar with me from the North as I could not find it in your fair Florida.

I seem to remember a saying about cucumbers and men and which one was better than the other...:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Why are you afraid of the Bronx?

Paula don't let my petty fears influence you. I just don't want to travel and possibly get lost in parts of the Bronx. If DH comes I wouldn't have a care in he world. I also don't like driving when I don't know where I'm going. I am sure I offended some Bronx dwellers too which wasn't my intention. I always felt like Brooklyn was misunderstood also. So it's more my getting lost phobia...also the Bronx is far from me too!

Good Lord, I wasn't trying to insult anyone. If you, or anyone felt insulted by my comment, I'm certainly sorry.

I was just trying to convey a frustration of not being able to follow any threads because I don't get a chance to come on often and there are sooooo many posts that it's very hard to keep up. Apparently my choice of words was poor. Again, if you were insulted, I'm sorry.
.

Well...

... I must offer an apology if I seemed to be fluffing the posts a while back. We were just drawing near the 62,000nd post and I was following up on what I sensed might be a playful "gloating" opportunity with the Wenches. So I ended posting a lot since no one else was helpin' out and ... I do believe they were all legitimate postings... as opposed to pure fluff... which I believe I do little of. Well... ok, I do SOME fluffing every now and then... :surfweb:

MR you have to come! I will go to that Chery Hill place and pick you up if I need to.
