G'mornin' pirate:s

Well, Thurs. is the first day that I could walk without hip pain after the tri, so what am I doing today???? Mountain climbing.

You are  M - funny but

We're climbing a friendly neighborhood mountain - about 3,000 feet over a 1.5mile trail. Our friends can't look for a house until tomorrow, so we are taking them to do something Alaskan.

What a fun introduction! What a good friend you are! :thumbsup2

Did anyone else notice that there is a Nikon in that bag?

I did - I did! :rotfl: Those of 'us' with a discerning eye usually do. ;) (Now what does discerning mean again? :rotfl2: )

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Thank You - I'm roller coasting right now between :sad1: and "well, it had to happen' mentality.

You are a veteran. You signed up. You showed up.
Thank you!

Thank You for making me feel great! I get a small bit of pleasure when someone thanks me and I like the warm, fuzzy feeling it evokes! I find myself holding my head up a little higher! :cutie:

:) Oops - getting a message too short to post - what is up with that?

OK - with this - I must attempt a nap - a 3 hr sleep will not cut it - I will end up looking like :maleficen but w/o the smile! :upsidedow

So sorry to hear of your troubles Tom, but was happy to hear the passport was found and you were able to rebook for later. Looks like you will be sailing with some others from this thread as well in July.

Wow that was an unbelievable story. If that was me, I would have been in tears! I'm so glad it all worked out for them!

No he didn't and that is what I too am holding on to.

What he did say was that the storylines had all been tied up and all the characters had been taken to their end for these stories.

If they do any more it could be based on CJS and other new characters because I don't think that they other actors want to continue. (IMHO only.)

We finally went to see it last night. We didn't go to Chunkys (cineama pub) because you have to wait in line for 2 hours since they only sell the tickets 30 mins. before the show. We went to the regular theater at the mall & bought the tickets before we shopped for a while. When we went back we were the first in line for that showing.

Anyway, I didn't think any of the stories were tied up at all. I left wondering what would happen next. Two main characters are still after something in the end. What I don't know, because I can never figure out who is after what & why. Even after seeing the ending after the credits, I was left speculating. I mean how long can that go on??? :confused3

Hi Everyone!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! We got home from Atlantic City a little bit ago. Andy Angelina is going to have a wonderful time at the concert tonight. The Borgata Event Center only hold 3,700 people and there wasn't a bad seat in the house! Hope she enjoys! Steely Dan put on a great show last night. We made our "donation" to Atlantic City but only for about $150 and that included a nice dinner and a few rounds of drinks so you can't beat that.

BTW Roger I really enjoyed the wontons :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: (that really made me laugh).

It seems like so long since we've had a three-day weekend and I feel so relaxed I am like mush!

Glad you had fun MR! :thumbsup2

In anticipation of our upcoming trip to CC and rainy FL weather, I purchased a waterproof bag for my camera. I have always loved taking underwater photos and surely did not want to miss out on this on our upcoming vacation. Yesterday was a nice day so off to the pool to try it out.

Found that it was difficult aiming since I did not take my prescription mask with me so I could not see the view finder and what I was shooting at. Learned alot about settings though and can not wait until CC for some fishy pictures.

Nice pics Roger. That water looks so inviting!

Good Morning again..............:rotfl: Was able to fall back asleep around 5am and woke up about 30 minutes ago. A Memorial Day Parade will be going past our house between 10:30 and 11:00 this morning. We live on the main road, our township and the town next to us have a combined parade every year. I marched in this same parade 40 years ago when I was in the Boy Scouts. The end of the parade route is at the Red Bank Battlefield along the Delaware River where a wreath is tossed into the river remembering those who gave their lives serving our country. http://www.nj.searchroots.com/Gloucesterco/redbank.html

I always wanted to live on a parade route. How fun is that? It would be so nice to invite people over, have a cookout, & then watch the parade right from your own yard.

Did everyone go outside to watch Andy's parade? Pretty quite here at the hospital this morning, I think everyone is sleeping in.

I slept in! I am soooo lazy!!!

ok all - sure could use some :pixiedust:. Shortly before leaving on my last minute getaway, something happened that could adversely affect my family. Unfortunately, life happens and this was bound to happen sooner or later but wish things could have happened in a nicer way.

Sorry to be cryptic but those that know me, I am notorious for getting up late. However, today and last night I fell asleep at 2 am and got up at 5 am PST. This is not me and I must get some sleep but am compulsive obsessive about things.

Here's hoping that things get resolved and our family cruise in July continues to be a family cruise!

Yet please note - I WILL MAKE IT TO THE MED ONE WAY OR ANOTHER! (and if God permits - I am going to turn over my faith to him and let him take things from here)

Thanks all for listening - everyone is asleep here and/or does not understand how mom's get all emotional. Thanks for your well wishes.

P.S. - Capt Crash - I wave as I passed your area - I see you may have been awake - we took a last minute trip to Solvang. Hoping to get to use my camera in the next couple hours. Need some time to straighten my thoughts.

Sending :wizard: & hoping everything works out!

When you put all your responses in line with the quote, it registers as a 0 character post, just add a smilie

Time to get ready to go pick up our ST. Will probably stop for a bite to eat on the way home, will check in later to see who snagged the next pirate:

Happy Memorial Day to all!
My thoughts go out to anyone that has served or is serving our country
& all their loved ones!

Morning all!

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes!! It was a good birthday.

I was at a dog show all day. I took the points with Taiko. (That's a good thing, only one dog of each sex is swarded championship points.) And Jakob placed 4th in Open Junior - it's his first placement since moving up from the Novice class. And he was told by a lot of kids that the first year in Open is really hard - you don't win. So, to have a 4th on only his third time in the Open ring made him feel about 10 feet tall. :goodvibes

Congratulations on the points:)

Roger that is a great idea practicing! My camera can go under 5 feet with no housing. I will have to bring it next time we swim.:)

This is going to be a must on excursions next year and may also help keeping the humidity out when we are down south.

The humidity killed my digital camea the night before we sailed through TPC. I ended up having to buy disposables on deck. :sad2:

:thumbsup2 ...those are some terrific pics.. some of my best friends
are from the military. :goodvibes

he was alot differnt...and was still alot of fun,...you should seen the
fun things he did with jordan. susan egan & her wonderful insights...

and grace....now that's the kind of role model i like for jordan. :goodvibes
classy all the way.

* it's painful;, the movies i missed..when i do the shows, my focus points
are on my family..jordan and my wife are in front of me..i really like the way
they interacts...., here' a secret we enjoy...i just  , the intro theme
for all the shows...thye really know how to warm up the crowds...pixiedust:

figured...'they're all hanging out.....@ palos!. :cool2:

* i could just see you all giving the booty! of course, i would have "taken
it all"....being of greedy pirate: ,* though iam pretty full of dirt..thanks
be to one lil'miss cutie patooie ....my theory, there always room for more
,,,not jello [kiddies stuff]....dirt! . where i come from, its how thee
wench spread her dirt around that is the "prime attraction"?..oh, my i
better go wash my dirty thoughts...out of my mind..before my true blue,
girl, go "dirty"...& finds her favorite cooking uten!sil...the roller pin. wants
to hear smpthim funny....she swears it has my "name" on it??? figure that
one out?...me> with all my lil' ways ,down to my curling toes...
:confused3 .., now me knows what urlsula felt...when she sang....on
the whole"...i 've been a saint....dosen't mean, i be giving any my treasures
back. :snooty: p.s.,,in some "parts"...i known as a "pretty" & good
fisherman..just saying...as a pirate's warning..pending the ways the
wind is blowing.....& how "full' my sails. swagger that?

:lmao: ..........lisa girl, :rolleyes1 .....what wrong with that gty. assignment,
....i wouldn't have a problem with such 100 bed room...if it was me in
the middle....of all the wenches, :dance3: :flower3: :dance3: , see...

Happy Birthday Devon:)

Don't you know, I wake up in the middle of the night, sign on to say Good Morning, then the boards go down for servicing..................:rotfl:

Hazel saw the livingroom light on, so she came out a few minutes ago to let me know that she spoke with Angelina around 11:30 last night. Angelina said she had a "GREAT" time at the concert. She also said she was so close to the stage that she nearly started crying when Gwen Stefani came out, looked down and said, "You're so close, I can see your faces." :goodvibes

I'm sure I will get to hear more about the concert when we pick Angelina up later today.

I am glad she enjoyed the concert:goodvibes

Well...

... about 2 hours ago I noticed it was unusually quiet at our home. Usually when I eneter the kitchen our dog shows up at my elbow in a couple of heart beats. Well... I took a peak out front in the entry area and saw the front gate was ajar... then I checked the dog run and saw he was not there. SO I advised my spouse of dogs absence and I left to go look for him after dressing to a decent level.

About 35-40 minutes of circling the neighborhood slowly I was gonna turn in and call it quits when I saw a car stopped in fron of our home with its' lights on. It had just pulled up and I rolled my window down to chat - and a nice lady informed me that she had our dog. It was just about midnite and so I followed her car back to her place where she expalined that their garage door had been left open by accident that evening - and earlier her son heard the sound of a dog whimpering inside their garage. They found Sugar there after he had wandered in. And she had called us but I left my cell in the house and no one was awake to answer the house line when she rang that one. So as a last resort she drove over. I had forgotten to take my phone - and being so late I did not think anyone would have been awake to deal with Sugar.

So he's home now and in great spirits. He evidently sneaked out right past Alicia as she came IN. I still don't know HOW ON EARTH a 120 pound Samoyed can sneak out the front door and gate past my under 100 pound spouse as she came IN the door. But he did it!

Anyways... below is a photo from a few weeks ago of SUGAR in the bath tub. If you peer carefully you can see the water is not exactly clear....

:goodvibes I am glad that Sugar was found. :)

Hi everyone! Finally saw POTC: AWE this morning and although it would have been more fun with Todd in costume stalking around the lobby, we had a great time nonetheless . . .
