We just got the best news!!! Angelina has struggled with math class all year, which she does every year, however Angelina's math teacher just called to let us know that Angelina has past math for the year. If she can raise her math grade 4 more points before the end of the year, she will make the Honor Roll for the final marking period this school year, as she currently has 3-A's 2-B's and one C(math).

Angelina will be receiving something very special at the end of this school year, she sure has earned it!!!

Plus two of our passports expired and we need a new one for the youngest child. Not to say this is an insurmountable obstacle - just that's another bump on the road.

Really, I hate to say this but we're just a little tired from the last weekend of travel to be thinking of planning a cruise for Europe in another 60. Plus... even though my spouse has the vacation days - and since the health crisis in the family appears over for now - we still are not really ready to committ. Besides, we already have 2 weeks set and paid for to Hawaii in early August... and we have concert tix sprinkled from July to September - and swim team - and gymnastics - and I need to brush my teeth in front of my own mirror... <chuckles>...

We will be in Hawaii the 1st 2 weeks of July, another reason that trip would be difficult to handle. Adam would also miss the 1st 2 weeks of school. But it was tempting. Too bad we couldn't have cooridinated a day to meet up in Hawaii.

I just don't have enough crazyness in my heart right now. It's been a exhausting day today. Nice but I'm tired... not sleepy tired ... just tired. I think I'll go get a snack - I think I have not had dinner yet... have I? Oh yeah... I have not had dinner yet. The kids been running me ragged tonight... hide and go seek... earlier a jedi battle with ME getting chopped to ribbons... then hide and go seek with a pink teddy bear... I took the kids to dinner alone to give the spouse a little quiet time to run her errands - and I went grocery shopping with the little ones.

Excuse me while I go to whip up something to eat....

Sounds like you have had a fun day with the girls. I hope you don't have any battle scars from getting chopped to ribbons.

I hope your $1 a gallon promo went well... It sounds like an effective promotion - however - were you trying to build traffic or recognition - good will - or were you running it in conjunction with a radio station? When we were in Vegas they ran 2 "free gas" promos on Friday the 13th. They had the 1st 50 at one station and the 1st 100 at another get a certain amount of gas. I don't recall how much but I think it was something on the order of 10 free gallons per car. They announced the station locations over the radio and the lines maxed out in under 30minutes from what they said on the radio. What a hoot eh?

It was a promotion that was done with Cricket cell phones. This is the 3rd time in a year I have worked with them. My Chevron location works great for this. The 1st one was done at my Shell, which is bordered by 1 way streets. It was a learning experience to say the least. We have organized mayhem. I work with them for the good will. (I have plenty of recognition here in the city--whenever they "talk" gas prices they are at my Shell location. I am usually one of the highest priced in town--not purposely, but I refuse to use gasoline as a loss leader to get customers). We get good media exposure from all 4 news channels and gain new customers. I walk the line to collect the money from customers--it is fun, they are excited and most are in a great mood. I have learned in my 17 years of retail to keep a smile on my face and have fun with the customers! It took my an hour and a half to walk the line to collect the money and explain how it would work. Then I walked it several more times throughout keeping smiles on their faces. They want to do this again probably in July. I make full retail on my gas and minimal credit cards fees as we try to collect only cash. The rules are cash only, 15 gallon max and no early line ups (which doesn't stop them from showing up at midnight!). But I don't turn them away for their credit cards--just note it on their windshield marker recepit.

I'm hungry ... gotta go for a moment now.... I'll be up for a while munching and possibly catching one of those shows that are not "appropriate" for young minds... I wonder where my Aliens DVDs are? Oh... here comes my trusty canine companion to settle down with me - he must have read my mind about getting a late nite snack!

Good Friday Morning!

No, I am not in the office today. I'm in my pj's with a cup of coffee. It's a well deserved vacation day today. I'm off the the beach for the day. Sailing tomorrow and Sunday and Monday are still TBD.

I drove past the local multi-plax last night. OMG I have never seen it so crowded! What was going on??????? I'll probably catch POC sometime this weekend.

Andy - I'll take the 90's over ice and cold any day.

Just a quick post-by ......Everything went Great last Night , the Movie was Great ....the crowds were huge ...our theater that I was at sold out everyshow through 1 am ..which was a total of 12 showings the first night ....

Anyway im sitting here with my chin braids still in and eyeliner still applied ...No sense in scrubbing everything off till after the weekend ..LOL Wierd to shower with these chin braids though ...Have lots of pics will share them after the weekend ,,,just way to busy to download them now ......GO SEE THE MOVIE ...That be an order from your Captain ...

I don't believe you can call them munchkins anymore. They are 'vertically challenged individuals'.

There's a little person in DS5's Kindergarten class. Her parents sent out a letter at the beginning of school telling us about Riley (which we all really appreciated). Apparently, "midget" is out, "dwarf" or "little person" is OK, "munchkin" wasn't mentioned. In case you wonder - the majority of us are called "average sized".

First you make fun of my math skills then you claim I could post a formula for bending the space-time continuum? Make up your mind, either I am a super (evil) genius or a simpleton.

(And I wasn't the person posting pharmaceutical formulae or rocket science diagrams on the boards -- y'all saw I can't do simple math. I think 1+1 = 3 for extremely large values of 1.)

But, but, but - you're so much fun to tease!!!!


Gotta get back to my really boring class now.
