I was served b-fast in bed this morning. DH is gone, so DSs presented me with an untoasted English muffin w/ about half a block of cream cheese on it and a huge glass of Sunny D. The even found the serving tray. Very cute - but a bit difficult to eat! Also interesting since they both know how to use the toaster oven!

Ummm, single stage. Small-ish. All the scouts got a kit about a month ago & we launched them 5 at a time. The Webelos (4th grade) had bigger, more complicated rockets to build.

Why surely YOU were never like that at a ST!?!

I'm trying to think what age I was when I wanted to hang with my friends for my birthday rather than my parents...

Long story short....I NEVER wanted daughters. My mother put a curse on me when I was a ST. She wagged her finger in my face and said (and don't say this out loud, because it works!) "Someday....you will have a daughter...and she will be JUST LIKE YOU!"


I remember quite vividly not wanting to go to our friend's cabin on the beach (which I LOVED going to) because my parents wouldn't let my boyfriend come with us, and my mother literally dragging me out to the car by the seat of my pants.

So....yes.... ....I'm guilty!!


But did Mom HAVE to do curses so well....I have TWO daughters!

Here it is with all the warts and bumps. Didn't have the patience to edit it. I did try to capture the banner on the top deck, but I really lost it due to the sun being in front of me . But hope you enjoy this amateur video. Oh the end when she was in the ocean, she just sat there for a long while not moving. I would've stayed a bit longer but there was man sleeping on the bench next to me and I was afraid he was going to wake up and see me standing over him

Love the video Arlene! Such excitement!!! I think I was more excited watching everyone cheer on deck than I will be on our cruise. Mainly because I get so caught up in everything we just have to do once on board. Eat, meet with everyone, eat, go to the drill, sailaway party, eat.... !

A few pages back I recall you saying that you were making an Elizabeth Shaw costume; here's my DD7 Bethan in her costume on the 10 Night Southern Caribbean last September.

She loves that dress (but not the bonnett) and will be bringing it to WDW for a Princess and Pirate party this August

Went to Epcot yesterday.. we stayed for all 3 Davy Jones concert.. yes I am a groupie.. .....all were packed.. and he never changes.... for being 61 he looks awesome

That was a neat cake I happened to dig up on Google. I guess this woman makes a whole bunch of different candy cakes you can order for almost any occassion. Funny because I showed it to my DS & he said, "Nah I'd rather have a real cake!" Go figure!

Awwww that was so sweet! Don't think I could eat an untoasted one though!

My DH & kids went out & got bagels from Panera Bread. DH was mad I already got out of bed. Oh well!

I got some beautiful polka dotted wine glasses (hand made here in Salem, Mass) & a gift cert for a massage, mani, pedi, etc.

Later we are going to a Japanese steak house to celebrate Mother's Day & Mike's birthday! Yum!!!

I didn't get the CC mailer today - didn't get the last one but I do have my CC cards, got them about 6 weeks after we cruised.

DH was the only one to get a CC card after our first cruise. I called & got the rest of them. This time we got all of them. I claimed them for the scrapbook.

The only problem I've found with video is putting it in a useful format (ie: how to watch them). I have mini8 cartridges that I took about four years ago still the way that I took them out of the camera. We've never looked at them.

I find stills much easier to use often.

Brack, that is why we got the DVD player/recorder. DH plugs the camera into the player & esentially burns it onto a DVD. We print out labels with everything on it and can watch everything pretty easily...even watch the sail away party multiple times without rewinding.

I am trying to download Podcasts of the MED cruise from Itunes, DCL have made some information pod's, I have been able to see one very good, part cartoon style. But they take me on cable about 40 mins to download each part.

Wow your schools get put early.. do they go back early too?

My ST don't get out until June 8th. This is is the AP Test so #1 is studying hard.. #2 is bored and trying to get #1 in trouble..

I wish that we would go back to the way the schedule was before this year. The kids got out 2nd week in May & went back August 5. We could go places the end of May/begining of June without the crowds. The legislature is considering changing it back for the 2008/09 school year. Isn't that convenient? My kids will just miss the first 3 weeks of school for this TOAL then.

I'm doing fair. It's 2:15AM here on the East Coast and I'm DISing ..... because this awful cough will not let me sleep. I am going to see the doctor in the morning.

I don't cough as much when I sit up so I will try to sit in my recliner and see if I can sleep.

Hope that you are feeling better by now, Brack. I am guessing that whatever you had is what I am dealing with now. I have been hacking for the past two days. There is wheezing & burning but Nyquil & Dayquil have helped me get thru. I have an appt Tuesday so I am just going to use that to get this mess checked out too. DS is feeling a bit better though. He has gotten use to the steroids so they aren't making him feel sick. He has 3 more days to take them. The cough is just about gone for him. I need to take him to the doctor to get a perscription allergy med though so he doesn't get as inflamed as he was last week. The bookfair went well. We sold over $4000!!! That means that there is a little over $1000 for the tech department. I also got the transcription job. I've been doing the training jobs over the past week & they got approved last night. I guess that just about catches everyone up on what has been going on here. I am worn out & trying to ketchup a bit. I wont be going into school this week so I should be able to ketchup at some point.

My biggest fear is that the powers that be in AI land are setting this up to be a Jordan/Blake final. It should be Jordan/Melinda final.

ITA with your final two as well. Both Blake & Lakisha were terrible last week so it could have been either one of them. Lakisha has been bad 3 out of the past 4 weeks though while this was Blake's first bad week in the past 4 so that is probably where the result came from.

Survivor was also great to watch!!!! GO YOUMAN!!!!!! Now he can get the second idol to use next week too!!!! They will think that he is a target without the idol. Can't wait to see what happened after tribal counsel!!! Dreams is SCUM!!!

Last summer DD attended summer camp at our local Salvation Army. When I told her I signed her up, she started crying and said she didn't want to go into the army! I told her it wasn't that kind of army. She had a great time and the cost was so reasonable compared to the YMCA. She did become a pool shark! They had a pool table and that was the big attraction. They also went on a field trip every week. She did end up liking it and really got into VBS week. I liked that there were more mature adults there than the YMCA employes.

I wish they had that around here! Our local Y camp is terrible! It is run by teens that just don't have control or the respect of the kids. I would never let my kids go there.

Don't feel bad, my mom wished that my sister had three girls just like her, guess what, it came true, my sister had three girls and they gave her just as much, if not more trouble, then my sister did to my mom..............

Actually I think there were more here with Captain's (early) dining, but it wasn't a huge difference. Quite a few were on late, but like you were waitlisted for early so the Captain's dining number is sure to increase. But we'll all have great company because there were plenty of us at each seating as I recall. (More than enough to frighten the other unsuspecting non-DIS passengers).
