8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 13

Yes!

We've used the auto train about 8 times now. Have been driving recently to WDW. DW does not fly. The kids just love it. They think it's an adventure. We usually get the family room. Sleeps 2 adults and 2 kids. My wife loves it too. She likes to read and relax, and she doesn't get to fly. I'm ok with it. It take just as long to get there by train as it is to drive, less wear and tear on the car plus your not driving for 20 hours.

We drive to Va. Board. Arrive in Fl. 1 hour north of WDW. Not bad. Takes a 24 hour period for us. I still rather fly.

Thank you so much! We would like to do it at least once - for the adventure! We would have to drive from here to VA of course - but we are kinda use to the drive to MD. The hard part is taking the time away from Disney to do it - but I think it would be fun. Thank you for the info and advice!!!

Andy - glad to see your are getting to do a cruise. I was torn between a 3-day on the Wonder or the Parks for Jersey Week in Nov. I decided to take my nephew to WDW for the long weekend so the DB and D-SIL can celebrate their 10 year Anniv. (Besides, I thought it was mantatory we all leave the State so that the TP and GSP can be repaved. )

I'm glad for you. It's fun planning a trip. Is you mom going also? Let us know how your plans go. Maybe I can talk my wife into a 4 day in November without the kids and we'll join you.

I have late seating too. What we did on our 10 crusie, we saved seats for all the shows and had a bunch of us all seat together. Yes, I know DCL frowns on saving seats but we did anyway. The nasty comes out in me once in awhile.

Yep, the Moms and I have late dining. With 5 women sharing bathroom space, we need the extra time!

Just got Angelina home from work......a co-worker did not show up tonight, so Angelina got called in to cover the shift. While Angelina was at work, I was able to get us booked on the Wonder for this November. The funny part is, the total cost for the 4 of us is about $75.00 less than what the deposit was for the Repo Cruise, so our November cruise is already paid in full!!!

Now it's time for me to get to bed.............Good Night All.............

Probably groundhog territory here, but I thought most on the cruise had late dining (We pulled the 8:30 shift - but are "waitlisted" for early)

DD had strep a few weeks ago, and was given antibiotics. She seemed better, but started having a nasty cough. She was certain she was dying of pneumonia. The doctor said it was a residual cough that will come on often after another illness, and told us to give her MucinexDM for two weeks. "Guaranteed" to knock it out. And available over the counter.

the day is going so nicely here...i'm waiting for something to go wrong! my weds are usually a little loud with all the kids here, but today they've gotten along wonderful!! hmmm...makes me wonder what's up!! LOL!

My daughter and son in law got the new cards and they've only cruised DCL once, for their wedding. We who have cruised far too many times did not.

yes, andy...i finally read back through and i see you are no longer going on our toal! i hope you have lots of fun on your november cruise! you will be missed next year!
but how did that work that you were able to let someone else have your rooom? we currently have 3 rooms booked from jan 31, and i'm thinking we may be able to drop one of the rooms. i have a family here that is somewhat interested in going, but figured there is no way to get a room now.

That happened to us last year. Someone spent $500 at a place called 'Dreamers'. I told the CC rep that I didn't even want to KNOW what type of business it was!

Reminds me of a (not so) funny story. My friend is a bank manager. She had an older gentleman customer who passed away. A couple of weeks after he died, his widow came into the bank with their credit card statement. She was certain someone had stolen the card. There were several charges on there to The Candy Store, and her husband was a diabetic, so there was "no way" in her mind that he would have made charges there.
My friend didn't have the heart to tell her that The Candy Store is a strip joint, so she just reversed the charges!

My biggest fear is that the powers that be in AI land are setting this up to be a Jordan/Blake final. It should be Jordan/Melinda final.

My thoughts exactly. DH said last night that he thinks Jordin will win the whole thing....I'm not so sure, since she's so young. Would be nice though, since she's from here.

If you have a travel agent handling your reservation, they can do the switch and bypass the system.

I'm trying to think of a way to use the mailer that they sent as a door sign for the cruise. Need to add some wording to it, etc.
