Last summer DD attended summer camp at our local Salvation Army. When I told her I signed her up, she started crying and said she didn't want to go into the army! I told her it wasn't that kind of army. She had a great time and the cost was so reasonable compared to the YMCA. She did become a pool shark! They had a pool table and that was the big attraction. They also went on a field trip every week. She did end up liking it and really got into VBS week. I liked that there were more mature adults there than the YMCA employes.

Hope your feeling better soon!

I'm glad that your DD enjoyed her summer in "the Army" :)

We call those Day Camps as opposed to our overnight camps which are held on our camp grounds. The Day Camps are usually very well run and meant to be affordable. We usually look at these camps as a service to the public and not a way to make money.

Kathy,
I have late seating too. What we did on our 10 crusie, we saved seats for all the shows and had a bunch of us all seat together. Yes, I know DCL frowns on saving seats but we did anyway. The nasty comes out in me once in awhile.:rotfl2:

Cheryl, you nasty? Naaaawwwwww

Did you see my post about the MucinexDM?

Yes, thanks. That is what I am taking. I usually use it when I get this "crud" from time to time and it works. :thumbsup2

It just takes time and some rest. :cloud9:

If you have a travel agent handling your reservation, they can do the switch and bypass the system.

wow! i didn't realize they could do that...i thought they had to release it back to dcl or something. do they just charge the new family at the current price?

I'm trying to think of a way to use the mailer that they sent as a door sign for the cruise. Need to add some wording to it, etc.

i know! i loved the mailer...but my ds was so excited to see mickey, that he ended up ripping the corner of it trying to get it opened. i might be able to cut it down a little though and still use it.

Probably groundhog territory here, but I thought most on the cruise had late dining (We pulled the 8:30 shift - but are "waitlisted" for early)

Actually I think there were more here with Captain's (early) dining, but it wasn't a huge difference. Quite a few were on late, but like you were waitlisted for early so the Captain's dining number is sure to increase. But we'll all have great company because there were plenty of us at each seating as I recall. (More than enough to frighten the other unsuspecting non-DIS passengers).

Yep, the Moms and I have late dining. With 5 women sharing bathroom space, we need the extra time!

Lil'grumpy will be surrounded by women! :scared1:

If I can help with the bathroom space issue, let me know. I'm in room GTY. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Sorry couldn't resist! (Yes Tom, we are inching closer to Groundhog territory.

It's time to take my medicine and then a nap! :woohoo:

The DISDog has beat me to the nap part already. :lmao:

Later my friends. :thumbsup2

I'm not quite sure. On the one hand, it seems that if the new person took over the old reservation, it would be at the original price, but I don't see Disney letting anyone do that. :confused3

We've known people who have moved up to a Cat 3 that someone they knew released....and so their price obviously went up because of the upgrade. But I don't know if it went up to the original cost or the current one.

Just checking in for a quick hello, still not very well so I will rest soon.

Saw on Ketchup the 000 congrats, the borg pictures thanks cc.

Andrew, that sounds like a lot of fun! It is wonderful they are adding so many things. You all are going to have a wonderful trip:)

Yes Med looks good.

Last time, the Moms were in the Walt. This time, we have connecting Cat 3 & 4. We'll actually have a better bathroom situation this time, than we did in the Walt. And better sleeping arrangements.

Ilovemydog. Ilovemydog. Ilovemydog.

Sorry, just had to remind myself about that. O'Hana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind. Or eaten.

And mom will clean up the poop.

I'm quasi unemployed today. I am doing something way worse than working - I'm going shopping. ICK!

That's almost like receiving a gift, or a free cruise.....(that's my "creative financing" at work!)........good for you! :thumbsup2

I used that same reasoning when we booked this cruise! The deposit was ONLY $1,000.

Because Mickey already had $1000 for the cruise I cancelled to book this one.

Total groundhog. Lisa has a spreadsheet. And it has probably already been ironed and tucked neatly into her lime green binder (subject to editing).

We have a big group in each seating. I gave into peer pressure and we are in Main...uh, Captain's Dining for the first time.

Reminds me of a (not so) funny story. My friend is a bank manager. She had an older gentleman customer who passed away. A couple of weeks after he died, his widow came into the bank with their credit card statement. She was certain someone had stolen the card. There were several charges on there to The Candy Store, and her husband was a diabetic, so there was "no way" in her mind that he would have made charges there.
My friend didn't have the heart to tell her that The Candy Store is a strip joint, so she just reversed the charges!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

ST DD who turns 17 on Friday wants a puppy. I keep reminding her that we already HAVE a dog that I didn't want. Not that I don't love him to pieces now...but still.....
Her friend's dog (major mutt) had puppies, so of course, she just HAS to have one.
I understand that her birthday is coming up, and one should get something they want for their birthday....but I can draw the line at a DOG, can't I????

She's also not getting the shiny pickup truck she wants. Gee, tough birthday!

Now if the friend had something irresistable, like purebred Yorkies, or Aussies.........;)

is there such a thing???!!!

Once you have an Obsessive Mouse DISorder always Obesessive Mouse DISorder!!!! These is no cure for the dreaded Disease. My husband spents thousands to cure me and know he has The DISease as well.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I wonder if DCL is monitoring this site, trying to figure out who we all are, so they can seat us all in one corner to control the mayhem. Imagine all the DISers interspaced throughout the dining room waving, calling out, running back and forth.....

I'm also hopeful for the waitlist, my DS9 and DS7 (to be 11 and 9 at trip) aren't real great eating at 9 pm.
