That must have been after midnight when I left you all. ;)

The Magic is getting closer to land!!! :goodvibes

After following the "Live Report Thread" this week, I'm not sure if I could take six sea days in a row...........:rolleyes1

I still say that I would love 6+ days at sea but then I have done more than two weeks at sea on several occasions ........

even if that was on an aircraft carrier it is still sea days! :rotfl:

One of the nice things about cruising (IMHO) was being disconnected from work, etc.

But....

From Ship to Shore: Disney Cruise Line Now Offers Cell Phone Service at Sea

CELEBRATION, Fla. (May 11, 2007)-- Disney Cruise Line guests will soon have another way to share their vacation highlights with friends and family back home when the cruise line unveils cell phone service at sea. Disney Cruise Line has partnered with Wireless Maritime Services (WMS) to provide a wireless cellular network aboard the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder.

Now we can look forward to those awful cell phone calls during meals, at the pool, during the shows and everwhere. :headache:

That is NOT good news! :sad2:

My biological father was in the Navy, but he and my mom split when I was 2, he wasn't around much after the split, so I never did get to hear about any of his Navy days at sea. :sad2:

Brack--I think they are only going to have cell phone service in the staterooms.

Those guests who still look for a cruise vacation as a way to escape need not worry--service will be available only in guest staterooms.

I did three Med cruises in the Navy from 1971 to 1974. I saw a lot of cool ports from Barcelona to Istanbul. The sad thing was that I did not have a camera then. :confused3

That reminds me of my Mom. There really aren't a whole lot of pictures from when we were growing up. Mom had the camera said she couldn't afford the film or developing. When you look at the dates printed on them one roll of film will have at least 2 years of pictures on some of them.:)

OK Paula--talking about pics taken when growing up, here is a pic of my Dsis and I, way back when. One of these days, I'm going to lose my "baby fat"..................................:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Dont worry about a room number you will get one, some of the cruisers on my Med one are still GTY's ( but I think there will be a lot of upgrades on that one!).

I just have to say that BJ was fantastic with my three kids in January. I wrote some great comments about her on our guest survey at the end of the cruise.

Please don't kill me, but have I missed anything on the website? I have read all of the summaries but have not heard anything about this.
Hope everyone out there is going well and enjoying you weekend!

Not that I would book this, but I just saw this on the DCL website for the August 2007 Repo Cruise. Entered in some info and look at the price that came up for a cat. 12 for three people (2A 1-16YO):

Stateroom One Total: $3,025.37

Stateroom One

Guest 2 (Adult): $1,141.79
Guest 3 (Child): $741.79

Total Price: $3,025.37
Final Payment (due May 22, 2007): $3,025.37

no transfers, no insurance

Just for the heck of it, I checked airfare from Philly to Barcelona, one way came in at around $550.00 per person.

I wrote all the information down, then read my horoscope in today's newspaper. It stated "DO NOT" make any major purchases today......

I happen to love multi sea days - so I decided to check into airfare, etc. I'm thinking about going - flying over to Paris and traveling via train to Barcelona. I guess if the final payment is due on May 22 - I've got to do more than "think" about it!!!! The only family member that is available to travel w/me is 6 yr. old DGS!! He happens to love going on adventures w/me.

As long as it's only available in guest rooms, I think it's a good idea. For us, it would be for emergencies only. I won't even let my work know that it's an option. Actually, I won't even be at the one job that might call me, so that won't be an issue. Now as long as my Mother-in-law doesn't find out.....
