I got my time calculation from http://www.timeanddate.com/ which also gave the following celebrations for us to look forward to:

Note that these calculations do not account for time zone changes, daylight saving time and leap seconds (may be one hour off real difference)

Did you account for the DIS leap 17 minutes?

The really sad thing is that I am the "boss". It's getting "caught" by my employees that is funny. :surfweb:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
...so glad I'm not the only one....

I didn't do any math, excel and the net did it all, I just cut/paste (I'm really good at cut/paste)

Is that on your resume?

Hey kids!

Back from Mecca! Hope all is well.

I am now paying the price of going on vacation. No, not the Mickey Visa damages. WORK!

Anyway, glad to see that Spring has finally come to NJ.

Ketchup later tonight.

Welcome Back Kathy

The DIS leap is closer to 30 minutes these days....

And yes, under "special skills" I have cut/paste listed....:lmao:

My computer's clock shows the DISleap to be just about 29 minutes. I can't understand why this changes at all! :confused3

OK I'm taking a break and going back to work. :surfweb: :lmao:

If you think thats bad I had to swap my preferences to french time to try and get it close to our British time. It didnt take into account British summer time, I sure it did last year so it was an hour and 30 mins wrong in March, now on French time about 29/30 mins out, maybe soon it will be worth puting my preferences to German time, I can post 25 mins early,

I thought Norfolk was behind the times but that's ridiculous !!!

i wish we had a disney store...ours closed a few years ago...:sad2:

I haven't found much at the Disney Store worth buying in years (since they sold them off to Children's Place, really). I wish they'd make them more like the park stores with more unique stuff and not pretty much the same clothes I can find at Target.

If it's any consolation, Disney Stores in the UK are still owned by Disney but apart from Christmas time, they're nothing special any more.:sad2:

Hi Everyone! Just got back from Florida last night. Thanks so much for all the good wishes. I haven't caught up by any means, but I read some of the responses from my post on Saturday & I can't tell you how much I appreciate the words of support! :grouphug:

My mother is hanging on, but the doctors are not sure for how long. It could be days, weeks, months. :confused3 Her lungs & heart are shot so they say she is inoperable. My mother has been on oxygen for a few years now & her quality of life has continually decreased. My saint of a sister lives nearby & helps care for my mother since she has been unable to get around much on her own, but my sister also has to work to pay her bills & she is not with her all the time. My mother has refused to build an in-law onto my sister's home, because she doesn't think it's fair that she might be able to rent it out once she dies and make money off of it. (That just gives you an idea of how my mother thinks.) With this latest health issue, my mother will require much more care, since she can not even sit up at this point without gasping in pain. The hospital said there is nothing else they can do for her & they want to release her in the next day or two, but there is no way she can be on her own.

Anyway, we are hoping to get her into a rehab center which her insurance will pay for, but it is difficult to get a bed right now. Otherwise we will have to pay someone to stay with her until a bed opens up. I wish I could've stayed to help, but I had to come home & care for my kids. Mike took a few days off, while I was down there & he couldn't afford to take off any more. The rest of my brothers & one other sister do not live near my mother & also have to work. A couple did visit, but like me they have responiblilites at home. I am glad I got a chance to pay my respects, but it was very difficult to see her suffer & know there is not much I can do to help. :guilty:

As for DH, he has a follow up appointment today, but otherwise seems to be doing very well. He has already lost a noticeble amount of weight in the last week & I think that is contributing greatly to his overall health. :thumbsup2 Hope everyone else is doing great! :wizard:

Diane,

My prayers are with you and your family. Here is a:grouphug: just because. You know if you need anyone to talk to we are here for you anytime. Here is another:grouphug:

Of course, if you factor in excitement as we get closer to the TOAL and the spike that the actual room assignments will bring, we should clear 100 grand easy.

Oh, no doubt. (My math showed that even without any spikes in the post rate). I am surprised the post totals have dropped off so dramatically in March and April -- I knew Feb. was an abberation from the excitement of booking, but with summer coming, will the totals drop even more? I don't even need ketchup any more -- there aren't enough posts a day.

That's the problem with computers. You can't eat the paste anymore.

Thank you for posting this on the July 28th Medthread, sorry you are not with us, have to wait to 2008 to meet.

All the best.

Of course, these statistics do not take into account the rapid decline in post count in March and April.

The first post was on January 13.
The 7024th post was on February 1, for an average of ~350 posts/day in January.
The 35,869th post was on March 1, for an average of ~1000 posts/day in February
The 50,510th post was on April 1, for an average of ~475 posts/day in March
The latest post today means we've only had an average of ~200 posts/day in April.

If that rate remains steady and does not experience the half-life effect seen so far, there would be roughly 98,000 more posts by the time we cruise.

(I didn't do exact math -- this was back of envelope calculation).

I could do a MATLAB simulation that could take into account various posting "milestones" and anomoloies: the day rooms are assigned; 75, 90 & 120 day Palo reservations; 30 days(?) for passport info to be submitted. But then again, I'm not THAT crazy

Good rainy afternoon!

Wow your office sounds as bad as ours! WE had a meeting this morning about the new Managing for Results initiative. It turned out to be a short meeting going over the same exact thing that was in an email sent out last week. We did meet a new employee in our department who said she was impressed with the good moral in our department! LOL! :rotfl:

But I guess she would be. Her last employer was Ford Motor Co.

We have a new Ikea in Canton. Been once and also been to the one by Potomac Mills in VA.

My first IKEA experience was up in Potomac Mills, VA a friend of mine was furnishing his condo. I had a blast shopping there with his VISA!!!
