Somehow I knew that question would be asked.
Pork Roll is course ground ham/pork (everything but the oink) that are formed into a tube. It's sliced and typically fried and severed with fried egg, cheese and ketchup on a hard roll. The brand most of grew up on is Taylor Ham made in beautiful Trenton, NJ. Heart attack on a plate, yup, but it is so good.
I'm a Jersey Boy, but never developed the taste for Pork Roll, now Scrapple, that's for me...............
