8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 12

Only about 500 posts behind. I can't even play ketchup yet. Hope everyone is healthy and happy!!! I decided to just sit by computer tomorrow for 3 maybe 4 hours. I hope there is lots of details of mini meet. I did glance at a few pictures and enjoyed seeing all the happy faces.

I'm behind that much too but since I'm home recovering today I have time to "ketcup".

I really am thinking about it. The past 4 trips down there and I could of had it 1/4 paid off!

I wasn't that Disney crazy until the first time I took dd there in 2004. I had been with a friend and her dd in 1991 and I wasn't that impressed. Of course that vacation was the "vacation from depths of Hade!" Her dd was being a brat and she didn't ever tell her to settle down. Then we got to my friend's parents house in Lakeland and they let her the gd run wild. So by the time we hit MK I was at the end of my vacation manners! They still had the sky ride that went from one end of the park to the other. Things just seemed to be run down back then.

With dd we had a blast. Stayed at ASMo and things seemed different. SSR looks nice the times we have been by it. Since we are getting tired of MI weather, it would be nice. My only concern is the yearly fees -- that's what is holding me back from taking the plunge!

We bought in on our cruise last December. I have said over and over again that I can not believe we did not do it earlier ...... like 15 years ago! We have passed their kiosks all over the "World" and was drawn to them but we kept telling ourselves it wasn't worth it. Boy were we wrong!

Brack - I hear you. I remember being at the World back in 1994 and talking to one of the DVC Reps. I think it was $42/point for what is now OKW. I wanted to do it. My then husband wanted no parts of a "time-share". 10 years and a few thousand $$ laters, I did it on my own.

... I didn't get a chance to thank you properly with my spouse badgering me to get packed to hit the road earlier today. But I wanted to say ... "but OF COURSE I'm a Star Wars fan!" I even have a full Anakin costume with an elaborate quality to it! Plus I got my spouse one of those Padame costumes too to match me! You know... the Padame with the midrift torn off by the monster in the arena! (image at bottom) So... the R2D2 cake was a real treat! Thanks again!

Your welcome Crash! I kind of had you figured for a Star Wars fan, so in hindsight it was probably like asking if anyone here likes cake!

It has been killing me hearing stories of people traveling for spring break, had the travel bug pretty bad the last couple of weeks. Problem is DW and I work opposite shifts (to take care of the kids) so we don't get many days off together. Yesterday DW got "Called Off" not enough babies for her to take care of, so off to Santa Barbara we went. About an hour up the coast from here with a beautiful drive along the ocean. Had lunch at our favorite place, Brophy Bros which is located on the harbor overlooking all of the boats. This place makes us feel like we have traveled to somewhere far away but only 1 hour away. Afterward the kids got to play on the beach. Weather was beautiful as well high 60's.

I went from being late to being premature..... is that an improvement?

Well...

... I've just been awakened to help the spouse dose the little one with some Tylenol. So... before I turn back in I'll see about catchin' up a lttle more on recent postings missed...

Must be something going around the DIS again. My DD5 was complaining about being sick last night and was really warm. We knew she wasn't faking it when she skipped dinner and didn't want any brownies. So Mommy is going to work from home today (an excuse to stay out of the weather).

Lesson went well but now I've got a stuffy nose and sore throat. DW also has something because she wasn't feeling well last night.

On Monday I went to the Orioles home opening game. It was a good game but it was very cold!

That night at about 9 o'clock my DW and I got VERY sick! I was up every hour that night praying to the "porcelain god"! Most of yesterday is a blur and I feel better today but we did stay home again today. It was the worst I have felt in over 20 years.

Now I am way behind in this thread.

Sorry folks seem to be under the weather again!

But if you kill the groundhog, what will they call the repeat questions on here?

Just a thought!

What about this board, the posts and the personalities that have been shown here (and in chat) gives you the idea that there would be anyone on this cruise that is "slightly inebriated?"

ps. remember this is the crowd who 15 months out has already located liquor stores, drink recipes, party locations, etc.

Have you guys been to the CA Science Center to the Star Wars exhibit? We're taking DD on Friday. Wondering if it's worth the trek to LA.
