Cat 10, 349 pts or $2263
Cat 11, 334 pts or $2163
I am curious how this stacks up with the tiered rates...
:figment:

I have 3 adults (well 2AD, 1 13yo) in a cat 10....

We only own 200 pts so no way to beg borrow steal that many points

Our cash price was like $5,100....(before insurance & transfer)

Evenin' pirate:s

Lord help me and someone have my head examined...

I signed up for a triathlon today.

Never been in a swimming race
Never been in a biking race
Never been in a running race.

Triathlon?
Sure sign me up.

Heading back to ketchup to give you time to laugh.

That's one way to loose your booty. Not that you have any to loose!

Hey, if you use 2 years worth of points, you can pay for an adult....

:figment:

What about this board, the posts and the personalities that have been shown here (and in chat) gives you the idea that there would be anyone on this cruise that is "slightly inebriated?"

ps. remember this is the crowd who 15 months out has already located liquor stores, drink recipes, party locations, etc.

There will be at least two "designated cruisers" in this bunch! :thumbsup2 :coffee:

Sorry you're feeling so sick! Do you think it was something you ate at the game? I remember having what turned out to be a not so well-cooked sausage sandwich and, well, let's just say the results were what I refer to DS when he was an infant: OOBE.

OOBE = open on both ends

Hope you get to feeling better real soon!

I didn't eat or drink anything at the game. It looks like one of the kids at church had some kind of virus. DW watched over the nursery for part of the morning. Several from the church are sick too.

I really am thinking about it. The past 4 trips down there and I could of had it 1/4 paid off!

I wasn't that Disney crazy until the first time I took dd there in 2004. I had been with a friend and her dd in 1991 and I wasn't that impressed.

My only concern is the yearly fees -- that's what is holding me back from taking the plunge!

We've been "Disney Crazy" since about 1986 and knew when the DVC started. It was the "fees" that made us wary too until we really looked at what we spend versus the fees. It just made sense for us then. I just wished that we had looked at it this closer sooner.

except were "borrowed" into points from the future already...

Only 10 or so left from Dec 07 pts....

but i could borrow from my 08 and 09 pts....;)

I heard about this on the news at lunch and had to post it....having lived, learned to drive and going to college in SoCal (Orange & Riverside Counties) I can easily see people doing this! Shoot the bums in Dallas were being ferried back and forth along the LBJ HOV lanes--people would PAY them $5 so they could legally drive in the carpool lane! :lmao:

Sticker Snatchers Peel Off With Car Pool Lane Decals
DMV Receives About 30 Replacement Requests Per Month

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Thieves have been peeling off with the limited-edition car pool lane stickers the state awarded to drivers of hybrid fuel vehicles.

DMV: Clean Air Stickers

The DMV estimated that about 30 drivers per month have requested replacement stickers since the Department of Motor Vehicles stopped distributing them in January, driving up the value of the yellow stickers.

"We knew it was only a matter of time," said California Highway Patrol officer Mike Wright.

Drivers suspect sticker snatchers are selling the coveted tags, which are valid through January 2011. The state capped the number of hybrids with special Clean Air Vehicle driving privileges at 85,000.

In February, someone who was sent a set of stickers by mistake put them up for sale on eBay for $10,000, although apparently the auction item was removed after there were no bidders.

Tanya Cecchin, 39, of San Jose narrowly escaped a $360 ticket last month when a police officer pulled her over for driving in a car pool lane before she noticed that three of her Toyota Prius' four decals were gone.

"I was kind of patronizing to the cop," Cecchin said. "I thought, 'You poor fool, didn't you see my stickers?'"

She was able to talk her way out of the citation by flashing a car pool lane registration card she had in the hybrid.

The HOV-lane perk is one of several privileges governments have offered to owners of cars capable of running on both electricity and gasoline. Some California cities waive parking meter fees for hybrids sporting the stickers. Both the Internal Revenue Service and several states offer income tax credits to drivers of the fuel-efficient cars.

Mike Miller, a DMV spokesman, said those hoping to hawk or buy pilfered permits should not get their hopes up. The stickers are treated with a chemical that makes them blister, crack and display the word "void" once they are removed.

"I doubt someone would be able to get them off intact," Miller said.

Give Nothin' Back!!!!

Brack - I hear you. I remember being at the World back in 1994 and talking to one of the DVC Reps. I think it was $42/point for what is now OKW. I wanted to do it. My then husband wanted no parts of a "time-share". 10 years and a few thousand $$ laters, I did it on my own.

That's the word (time-share) that scared us off as well!
