We thought we were going to owe Uncle Sam (lots) this year (DH thought he messed up in moving investments around), but got the word tonight we are getting a refund from Fed & State

We getting a refund fro the Feds which is just about enough to cover what we own the State.

Got it right this year. Last year we owed something like $6K. (Got it wrong.)
Of course, you have to question whether you can take anyone seriously if they were born after Star Wars came out....
Of course not! They don't appreciate truly amazing things - like four function calculators. And the amount of brain sweat that goes into creating a roller coater - without a computer!! Sheez.
I remember having to explain to a much too excited coworker that I had indeed seen Star Wars: A New Hope the
first time it was out in theaters.....
I went on a 'date' with my dad. (Back when a little girl could say that without people, well....going there). My brother was just a few months old, so I'm sure it was part of the 'older sibling adjustment plan'.
So did I! I had just got home from school and Dad was getting in the car. "Where you going Dad?" "To a movie, you want to come?" (Like I was going to say No?) We saw Star Wars on opening day, the very first showing in Seattle. There were like 40 people in the theatre. Best seats in the house. AWESOME!!!!
I remember when it came out - had the biggest crush on Luke Skywalker - by the time the third one came out, I had moved over to Han Solo.
Ahhhhh. Moved on from the nice boys to the bad boys - did we?
How in the world does one fail Health class?
By writing slogans like these??
Support your local tobbaco grower - SMOKE!
I support Darwinism - leave you helmet at home!
Soap and Water is for whimps!
We don't need no stinkin' seatbelts!
It's so funny because Coach always stayed so calm. He would just say "Mary dear, you're in the wrong lane again and the passengers in back are afraid for their lives, so could you please move back into the correct lane before we all meet the big Coach in the sky." He said the exact same thing every time.
I want some of what he had!
Okay ...Remember I said when my friend Toby came to Vegas to try out for a reality show , and while he was here we did alot of filming ....Well , here is the cereal commercial we did in my backyard and in the house ....those that have watched Tobys other little videos on utube saw the first cereal commercial ...this is Pt 2 to that ...LOL I even got a part ...I was the stunt sword and arm ...LOL enjoy
Nice work. Especially like the cereal with RUM!! Yum!!
Interestingly, DS5 walked up as I was playing it. His response? "I don't want to do this." I think he found the movie clips at the beginning too intense. Guess who hasn't been allowed to see any of the movies.
Oh, we win the evil parents award easily. We take one gift that comes in multiple pieces and wrap it in separate boxes. (I wanted to take a
lego set and split up all the pieces and wrap them in separate boxes -- I am thinking of buying a small lego set for Easter and putting each piece in a different egg and scatter them over the house!)
We'll wrap video games and then put them inside shirt boxes so the kids think they are clothes. We'll hide gift cards in pockets of pants we buy them so they think they are getting clothes.
If I am spending this much on Christmas, then, by golly, I am going to get some enjoyment.
OH! I am SO going to have to start doing this! thought last year the Lego set has 1000+ pieces.
Whoa, wait a minute, Jasmine in a thong can't be discarded as 'blah, blah, blah'. I need details!
It's a teaser to get you to read the posts!
I haven't been on the boards for a little while (traveling for conferences)
Has anyone that is on a guarantee received any more room numbers for this sailing?
NO.
Drive-ins were fun back then and had swings and stuff.
The one is Sacramento still does (6 screen drive-in). It's very popular with the family set. Kids can run around and make noise. And no one cares.
We like it because WE control the volume. When DS10 was about 5 I had to drag him, crying, into a movie. Why? All he could remember about the last one he saw was how horrible it was because it was too friggin' LOUD! I brought ear plugs so, this one was better. But after that, we had to wean him back into seeing movies by going to the drive-in.
Ear Plugs - don't leave home without them.
Well, I really gotta run now. Need to leave for Grandma and Grandpa's and we're not packed yet....
catch all y'all later!
