Just out of curiosity, what number Laura am I?

Hi FGM - I just always assumed you were #1 - kinda goes along with the title of Queen and since your my hero ( :worship: - I was emulating you - so I happily fell in step with #2 - that way. LOL - when I first started following this thread I confused you with SWMBO - (once I found out what that meant of course) Anyway, figured since our jewelry posts many moons ago - that I would tag along hoping that your luck turns into mine this trip - as in the jewelry dept! ;) You are the one that gets one on each cruise right FGM?

Your my hero - your my hero! :worship: :worship:

Is the chin waxing painful? If I go the way of the women in my family, I'll be sporting a full beard soon, so I'll need to know :lmao: Gosh, isn't the mustache is bad enough? I agree the naked rugby guys should have to wax the chests and/or backs :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Chin isn't too bad - for me - its the lip - I alternate - 2 chins about (every other month) to my 2 X a year lip - :headache: that one hurts - I would almost rather have a Brazilian done than the lip - :headache: :headache: :headache:

Of course - whenever she reminds me - "do we do lip honey?" I always say - we did it last time - its the chin's turn! :rotfl: The worst part of this one - I had laser done in this area about 2 years ago :scared: - so while not technically bad - I feel bad that she has to remind me - then of course I go OMG! Its back! :scared: Even worse - I've been out in public :faint:

I am honored. :lmao: Yes, I do have more than my fair share of jewelry purchases. But heck us Laura's deserve it. Well, let see, okay, all the DIS'ers deserve it. So just hang with us and I am sure we will be visiting the jewelry vendors of all varieties. More Bling here we come!!!
:cool1:

Ooooh Laura I would love to laser all the hair off my self and then my whole body could be smooth as a baby's behind. No more wax, razor, nair, nads, threading, or any other torture we put ourselves through! :lmao:

:yay: ..hey mr. V.-MAN...."Take me with you!" :yay:

[i promise not to snore or eat to much, scouts honor! ]

psst, are you going to travel in your .....pirate: clothing?
"takum many pics as you pass the rummy ..to your tummy !"

just my observation, but its exciting to hear how enthusiastic your
lil' miss "st" teenie...is toward her job/. :thumbsup2 , it has always
been alot of fun watching jordan "adpoted" one of her new friends
...once, i took pics as she went thru the whole process.

..if clothes makes the man or woman...than what does one property
makes?....one can be defined by the treasures gathering dust...,
kansas had a hit song, "dust in the wind". * i think it is interesting,
that we have a "hugh" walk-in closet....my wife claims 99%, leaving
me with the 1%...much like the bed. :rolleyes1 , and then, i find
some of her clothing "sneaking" in on my 1% side. accidentally, of
course...:snooty:

sooooo, pbager, just because you can walk around in your basment,
dosen't provide ..all the picture?...what's in your closets? :coffee:

LG, that is just part of being married. We get the closet space we need and DHs just get whats left. :confused3 :)

Good Night Friends!!

Talk to you tomorrow!

I've been looking into those, but I'm very skeptical on the whole thing. Having DSL at work and home, I'm concerned that it's going to be so slow. What service do you use? How's the speed? Is it a reliable connection? Any other info you'd like to share would be helpful!!

Cheers!

Jennifer

It's a Sprint service. I just got it this afternoon late and it took a little bit of time to activate it. When I posted using it the speed was not bad. It is noticeably slower than my cable speed here at home but not much slower than my connection at work.

Here in the Baltimore area the map shows a very high speed connection. The real trick is going to be on the road like at camp which is going to be a slower connection. I'll let you know but I can tell you it is better than dial up by far.

"The law, approved 10-1, requires large markets and drug stores to offer customers bags made of paper that can be recycled, plastic that breaks down easily enough to be made into compost, or reusable cloth."

So mom-n-pop stores can have regular plastic bags as well as 7-11 stores? I don't equate Circle K/7-11 to Albertson's or Vons.

But when are they going to take the next logical (to them) step and ban plastic trash bags?

I actually prefer the paper bags (if they have handles) because they tend to not let apples etc roll out when they shift around.

We use the roll thank you bags at our stores. We carry the large paper bags and a small brown bag. It is so much more convenient as a storage issue. The paper bags take up valuable storage behind the check out. :)

Hi everyone. It was another crazy day at my crazy job. I'm dealing with three different reporters all writing different stories related to my company and they are driving me cuckoo!! I don't know why they have to all descend at once. At least it appears the stories will all be positive, so it should be some good PR but they are definitely starting to try my patience. Can't be mean to the press though, I must remain their best pal!

Tomorrow I'm doing a program with one of the Chambers where I shadow a principal at a local elementary school for the morning. It's a program the Chamber sponsors to encourage businesses to get involved with the schools. That should at least be a pleasant enough way to spend half my day before I have to go back for my afternoon grilling and photo op with reporter #2.

I really am not complaining, because my job is great, but sometimes I just start to feel a little bit overwhelmed. I wish there were more hours in the day!

Stop!!!! Please let it all out here as much as you need. Its good therapy to let it out. If you don't, it will only build up and make you miserable. Too many people post 9/11 didn't get it out and are now on disability retirements and extensive therapy.

I think 50,000 posts back and forth over a period of less than two months, plus a few "all-night" (or close thereto) chat session equals a group of friends who are here for each other.

Be as much of a downer as you need (although no one else is complaining you are a downer).

Let us be your strength when you need it.

Well said Tom :)

So you will be DISing at 70 miles an hour... be careful (and stay out of NJ, they are trying to make txting and driving illegal, can't think what they would do to full fledged laptoping)

What this will mean is that my DW will drive more so I can DIS more! :thumbsup2

She said tonight while I was testing it out that I would never be off the computer now!
:lmao:

Hi Brack - I've had mine from Sprint for almost 8 months and I love mine! Never travel w/o it - that's how we found out you can use it in St. Thomas :) !

However, when I went out to the country here - a friend had just bought some land (SoCal) out there - that was the only time it wouldn't work - boy was I bummed! Had to resort to the old B**b tube to entertain me - that was't fun - missed DIS sorely! Now, before I go anywhere - I always ask - you have wires and cables out there - if the answer is no - I stay home! Sometimes I'm so pathetic! :sad2:

I ask the same questions and will not stay at a hotel that doesn't provide it. :rolleyes1

Goodnight!

I'm headed to Morgantown, WV tomorrow for a weekend with about 300 ST's. It's our annual youth retreat so be thinking about me. :cheer2:

I will be in chat Friday but maybe later. Who knows I might there for the good stuff this week!
:lmao:

Paula, Can you come over to help me unclutter??

I have to agree with you Paula. I didn't keep anything from the baby stage. As soon as DD got out of the crib at 18 months it sold at the yard sale! I have their coming home outfits & the set that I made for them as babies (blanket, sweater, bonnet, booties). I kept the nursery set because I made it and planned to convert into two quilts for the kids to get when they graduate high school. I have a bag of 3-6 month clothes from DD because the 22" doll I bought her will fit those. :) She will get that in a couple years. I tossed a lot of my things before the kids were born. I figured that they would need the room more than my old HS papers.

I think I'm gonna hire you to come help with my basement one of these weekends!! :scared1:

I warn you all I have no mercy! That is why my Mom won't let me tackle her basement. LOL

I know they really get you don't they? We are driving to Hilton Head in 2 weeks, but DH hates to drive so he asked me to check last minute airfare to Savannah. Um sure honey it's only about $900 a piece! :sad2: Needless to say, we'll be driving!

We have driven for years to WDW even when we lived in Dallas and OKC. It was (before $2.50 gas) cheaper than flying. Plus we had a vehicle if we needed one without renting (more $).

Having said that ..... we just might fly this year. :woohoo:

Our 1st trip to Hilton Head we drove. From KY you hit the Tenn mountains, we were stuck in the mountains coming and going with wrecks. That was the last time we drove anywhere over 3 hours from our house to point B. I will say that you get to see some beautiful counrty. And it also keeps the bickering down between DH and me. He can't drive and read the signs. Plus I tend to get speeding tics when I am on the expressways especially through GA. Once got one on the way through, stopped to pay on the way back and them got another. Once I got one in FL. forgot to pay and when about 30 days after I renewed my DL it got revoked for that ticket 2 years earlier.:rolleyes1
