Hi Lisa,
Hi Stace,
Hi Andrew,
Hi Mary.

My wife promised me today that she will sign up on the board today. So maybe later today she will make her debut.:)

She will need all the support possible.

My DW has an account that I signed up for her but she has never used it ..... yet.

Now does that mean the rugby game advertised on page 1 of this thread is actually naked rugby?

:rotfl:

You hadn't heard? It's naked rugby with hookers......but Enna's not volunteering.

OY, the groundhogs are coming out again.

Did a quick google search this morning:

Ken Osmond (Eddie Haskell) born June 7, 1943
Tony Dow (Wally) born April 13, 1945
Jerry Mathers (Beaver) born June 2, 1949

Well I feel better, Two out of the three are older than me.:cool1:

I don't fit into the pack rat category.

We do seem to accumulate more things at the store than home--beer neons, coolers etc. I will save them and participate every 2 years or so in our annual neighborhood yard sale. It amazes me what people will pay for neons-LOL.

5 years ago I helped to clean out my grandpaprent's house, it was a daunting task. I keep trying to let my mom let me help her go through the basement and clean out her stuff. So far she just doesn't want to. But when I helped her clean out her hall closet, I did get her to part with a large black trash bag of used wrapping paper. DH and I bought our 1st house from my mom, it was the house I grew up in . She had rented it for years. The attic was still full of "her memories" 95% of it had to go in the trash--dry rotted clothes etc...I just don't want DS to have to through that one day.

I really don't know why I said all this. I now need to get ready to go to work. Everyone have a lovely day:)

Paula, Can you come over to help me unclutter??

Pretty much................................ :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: :dancer: :car: :jumping1: :jumping3: :jumping2: :mickeyjum :goofy: :donald:

Andy , Paula Pete and who ever else is going to mine meet, HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!!!! We are all jealous but take pictures!!! Andy we want live reports from your lap top. :thumbsup2

:yay: ..hey mr. V.-MAN...."Take me with you!" :yay:

[i promise not to snore or eat to much, scouts honor! ]

..if clothes makes the man or woman...than what does one property
makes?....one can be defined by the treasures gathering dust...,
kansas had a hit song, "dust in the wind". * i think it is interesting,
that we have a "hugh" walk-in closet....my wife claims 99%, leaving
me with the 1%...much like the bed. :rolleyes1 , and then, i find
some of her clothing "sneaking" in on my 1% side. accidentally, of
course...:snooty:

sooooo, pbager, just because you can walk around in your basment,
dosen't provide ..all the picture?...what's in your closets? :coffee:

The percentage of closet space just proves all men are treated equal.

I promise I won't be such a downer all the time....

I decided this morning that I am flying to RI for the funeral of the Coastie who died. I need to be there. It's only money. A lot of it, but it's only money.

I spoke to DH "Steve" for the first time this morning since it happened. I've had several conversations with "LCDR Sk8ingdad", the officer, not the man, during the last few days, but today is the first time I've talked to the man.
I need to go to be there with him. He is working so hard to make sure everything and everyone else is taken care of. He is responsible for the well-being of 76 people and one of them is not coming home. Non-military won't get this, but in a way, I represent all of the wives. I've never been one of those wives who try to wear my husband's rank on my own sleeve, I actually avoid it at all costs because it drives me nuts, but this time I need to be there for all the people who can't.

And oh yeah, I having a hour-long press event Tuesday morning with all our local mayors, state legislators and one of AK's senators...no stress at work. It's a great time to take a day or 2 off.

What are they going to do, fire me?

Thanks for listening (reading).

Many, many, many more :grouphug:

:grouphug: Go and do what you need to do.:grouphug:

When are you going to be there? We're there 8/19 - 8/29. Any overlap?? Wait? Did we already figure out that we're missing each other by a couple of days?

Yes I'm leaving WDW the 17th so we just miss, but don't feel bad because I almost asked you again myself. It's hard to keep up with who said what. :confused3

Diane, i haven't been lucky enough the last few vacations. I have paid dearly for airfare. I am to "spoiled" to drive. But it does get tempting. :)

I know they really get you don't they? We are driving to Hilton Head in 2 weeks, but DH hates to drive so he asked me to check last minute airfare to Savannah. Um sure honey it's only about $900 a piece! :sad2: Needless to say, we'll be driving!

Stop!!!! Please let it all out here as much as you need. Its good therapy to let it out. If you don't, it will only build up and make you miserable. Too many people post 9/11 didn't get it out and are now on disability retirements and extensive therapy.

I think 50,000 posts back and forth over a period of less than two months, plus a few "all-night" (or close thereto) chat session equals a group of friends who are here for each other.

Be as much of a downer as you need (although no one else is complaining you are a downer).

Let us be your strength when you need it.

Very well said Tom and I couldn't agree more!

We have driven for years to WDW even when we lived in Dallas and OKC. It was (before $2.50 gas) cheaper than flying. Plus we had a vehicle if we needed one without renting (more $).

Having said that ..... we just might fly this year. :woohoo:

The percentage of closet space just proves all men are treated equal.

I use a lot of closet space myself. As a matter of fact the only thing that my DW has more of in the closets here are shoes ...... I call her Emelda Marcos because she has so many while I have maybe 5 pair of shoes (including sandals and my Disney Crocs) :lmao:

I am trying out my new toy .... a wireless card where I can get on the internet anywhere; even in my car at 70mph.

I'm in Morgantown, WV for the weekend so I'll be chat with the new toy.

Did I mention how cool this is?
:surfweb:

I've been looking into those, but I'm very skeptical on the whole thing. Having DSL at work and home, I'm concerned that it's going to be so slow. What service do you use? How's the speed? Is it a reliable connection? Any other info you'd like to share would be helpful!!

Cheers!

Jennifer

I ironed for about 2 hours this past weekend. Mainly because I wasn't fast enough to pull things our of the dryer when it buzzed.

Even if I am right there when the dryer stops, there are shirts that I think still need to be ironed. Maybe I need to get a new dryer? ;)

In most European countries you have to bring your own bags when shopping. I think it's a great idea, platic and paper bags are such a waste and burdon on the enviornment.

I would need so many bags! I get paper when they have it.

Hello Everyone and Happy Wednesday!!!

Just back from a Vacation Mani, Pedi & Waxy!!! I got designs on my fingers and my piggies and had my mustache waxed into a foo-man-chu :lmao: :lmao:

Gonna Ketchup! BRB!

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Don't feel like you are imposing on us...that is what we are here for. We will go thru a lot together over the next 17 months...and beyond.

I understand what you are feeling and you are doing the right thing...for yourself & your DH. I will keep you both in my prayers that you find the strength to be what everyone needs you to be over the next few days. :grouphug:
