Just a quick post to say that I won't be on for a while -- family emergency. We've even had to cancel our cruise for this Saturday.

So very sorry. Hope things worked out and somewhere between here and page 1 I will find out everything is okay.

All I would recommend is to be viewed, from the shore, wave, get yourself noticed etc if you want a picture and try to put something on your verandah, or wear something noticeable so you can find your pictures quickly.

I'll hang my dirty underwear out there. That ought to work.

Someone posted a link to the company that DCL uses. When I called them last month, I was told that the tux would be in the cabin when we board. After the cruise all I need to do is leave everything hanging in the closet and the crew would get it to the company.

Usually your cabin steward comes and picks it up on the last night.

Mark do you travel for a week at a time or more like a couple of days at a time? Travelling for work can be very difficult. Like JR do you leave the country on business?

Seems like all I do is leave the country for business these days. Two years ago it was Tokyo for the summer and last year it was back and forth to a third-world country every other week -- Little Rock, Arkansas.

THAT WAS AWSOME!!!!

Wish I had any idea what you were talking about.....

DS5 fell this evening, and I'm still trying to figure out the physics involved. He hit top front of head (managed to bang next to his right eye) on a low window sill, lower back, and knees in that order. Lots and lots of crying, but nothing wrong a little ice and  couldn't fix.

He'll admit to walking on his bed and falling off it. I don't think he was jumping or he'd have been hurt worse. So he came off the foot of his bed, hit is head, must have bounced off either the end of the bed or bookshelf (to get his back) and then hit his knees. Though DS10 says he flipped over during the fall. :sad2: I dunno - it'll remain a mystery.

In any case, he's convinced himself that walking (and jumping) on the bed is a bad idea. One of those self correcting experiences. ;)

I'm just glad it was so minor.

I'm gonna have to use that term for DS1!!!!! Why do I have the feeling that between our sons and maybe a few others something is bound to happen to TPC locks?!?!

Maybe we need to outfit them in these to warn the kids' clubs crew?

Listen if something does happen to me (like I die in a plane crash) just pry the blender out of my cold, dead hand :lmao: :lmao:

Okay, so that's not really funny................

Yes, but at least you know you'd have one heck of a wake!!

Another swim team family! Do your kids swim club or YMCA?

BTW, we're also a swim team family. DS13 swims 'competitively' (not so much, sometimes) with a local swim club here in IL.

I read this. At first I thought it was a joke. Now I am so glad that I cannot afford a first class ticket. Economy/Coach does have its advantages!!!!

I don't know. A corpse is better than the guy I had in first class belching all the way from Dallas to Chicago. Thank goodness for noise reducing headphones once we got in the air.

And of course, I couldn't think about this article without at least hoping the guy sitting next to the corpse got to have the corpse's warm peanuts.

wow - only 20 to go - on the clock ? - FINALLY figured out how to update the clock on the car - only took me about 1 1/2 weeks to do it - I was going crazy trying to figure it out - and after all that - only took me 10 miutes to figure it out! :lmao:

That was me and the clock on the stove. I finally, after 10 minutes of pushing every button (and SWMBO coming over and doing likewise), had to admit defeat and do that most-unmanlike thing. RTFM.
