Here are two pics I took 3/20/05 around 8:22am as Spring arrived that year.

I don't believe this is unique to the equinox. To quote one of my favorite shows: "The elements involved with creating an equinox have no connection to the center of gravity of an egg".

OMG! I would not pay anything to go out on that. I hate to walk over a bridge that goes over water. I get :scared1: too easily and I don't like heights at all.

Same here. I get scared in all high places. Even (and I really shouldn't say this as someone here is bound to drag me out there just out of spite) the front of the ship on Deck 10.

Anna, enjoy Hawaii!

I also don't get the Secret :confused3. Looking at a picture of some supermodel is not going to get me thin thighs. I guess it's my Irish/Italian/Catholic upbringing. You work hard for what you want. And with a little prayer, you just might get it.

Don't be so sure. I lost weight last month looking at the SI swimsuit issue.

SWMBO chased me around the house for a half-hour after catching me drooling over it.

Ok, so why did I get some weird message telling me "postthanks" could not be found? Didn't type anything about "postthanks"???????

That's what they will call time after Tom Hanks dies. Post T. Hanks.

Greetings... and good afternoon..

gonna ketchup and see what has happened during the day..

Besides me, anyone else working tomorrow??

I am afraid of heights, going on bridges over water, driving thru tunnels under water. Here in Va to get to VA Beach from Williamsburg you have to drive thru a tunnel that runs into to Chesapeake Bay. On the other side is the North Atlantic Fleet stationed in Norfolk, VA. You can see all the ships at the base. Whenever I drive down there I have to look straight ahead and not look at either side. But I have no problem flying, parasailing, snorkeling or doing a ZIP or going on a cruise ship. On sailaway day Deck 10 in the front of the ship is the best place to be watching the ship heading out in the channel. I don't walk on deck 10 at night in the front of the ship(it is really breezy out there at night). Other then that I have no problem!:scared1:

MR is your DS into video/computer games as much as my "stinky" teen? Mine is 13 almost 14 and he spends a lot of time playing on the computer. It seems like quite a few of his friends are the same way.

Video games is all my DS13 would do if we let him. He has two friends who come over and play and play and play.

Right now he is on restriction though, no video games, due to some missed assignments at school and irresponsibility at home.... I know it is killing him finding other things to do....

I went through all your frustration years ago. My son was just 5 when he entered 1st grade. (Cut off date was then Dec1) The third day of 1st grade, the teacher wanted to talk to me. She told me my son was spaced out. He would just be off some where. The teacher thought he should be held back because he was so young. :rolleyes1 To make a long story shorter, he was tested. He blew the his scale way off the charts. :woohoo: He was capable of doing 10 year old and above work. He was just so bored that he would just drift off. He was placed in gifted(I always knew he was smart:rolleyes: ). He received straight A's throught school all the way through Grad-school. :scared: Just keep fighting for your children. Just because a person has a teaching degree, the teacher can be wrong!!! The challenge to apply themselves must be given. He is now the trouble shooter microbiologist for the largest drug company in the world. :scared1: But I must say he has NO COMMON SENSE still.

He sounds just like my DS 10. Same thing with him. Off in his own world. But he apparently found my old Computer Engineering textbooks (from my freshman year of college) in the basement and started reading them.

But he has no common sense and is forgetful as anything. I always say he'll be the one to discover the cure for cancer and then forget all about it.

:thumbsup2 that is great news!!!!!:thumbsup2

:grouphug: here is to a seedy recovery for her!!!:grouphug:

One of those typos that I just love because of the mental image I get of a 'seedy' recovery...

P.S. I am not making fun of you or your typing -- I make more typos per post than anyone. It's the mental image I find funny.

Yup...

This is gonna be our first Repositioning and our LONGEST voyage to date!

And on a seperate note - my notebook remains DEAD. And I know where it came from. I was trying to download a video and I did not take the warning from my anti-virus and Windows filter that said it was an out of date certificate. It downloaded a virus that changed my home page to a spyware selling page - and it loaded a bunch of garbage on my notebook. Oh well...

My pal says these people do this to get folks to buy their pirated spyware program that probably is a hacked and reskinned version of something else. Or they might simply be identity thieves. Either way - they were most likely off-shore and not easily caught or punished. I'm having my personal files pulled off and the drive reimaged and everything reloaded. However, most of the images will go into storage.

Oh well... I'm at a hotel using my spouses' notebook while I have access to it.

I'm gonna start reading backwards from here to see what I've missed these past few days...

Hope everyone has been faring well...

So Captain Crash's computer was crashed by pirates?

I looked into having a moat built, but the cost is prohibitive. But I do "have a .45 and a shovel".

<mental note> Teach DS that gun control means using both hands! And teach him to shoot (only in self defense) early!
