Hi Lisa and all!

I want the Disney VISA! DH went and got a credit card for airline miles - which we aren't even likely to reap the benefits from......I am thinking of trying (once again) to try to convince him to change!!!!:) I would probably pick Tink or the castle!!!:wizard:

 :yay:  Congrats! That's a big accomplishment!!

We joined the Y this weekend. Mainly because DW wants to be able to get a good workout while DS is being watched. They have ChildWatch for up to 2 hours/day at no extra charge. The other reason for joining is I need to learn to swim in time for the cruise next year. I guess that should be enough time to learn ;)

Good for you on learning how to swim. Not only is a good skill to know, it's great excercise.

EDITED 2ND APRIL APRIL FOOL JOKE

Received this e-mail from DCL this morning concerning the Panama crossing.

Thank you for booking a vacation with Disney cruise line, we have some important information concerning the Panama crossing 15 night cruise on August 17th, 2008.

Since your last vacation and our last transit of Panama, we have added a number of new features to the Disney Magic, including the Dumbarton an on deck LED videoscreen wall at the Goofy pool to show late night movies and an enhanced Vista Spa and salon area.

When adding these features to the cruise ship for everyone’s extra enjoyment, it also added weight to the overall ship. This has affected our buoyancy ratio, it is not any problem in normal sea operations, however in freshwater we have identified a problem, as the buoyancy is far less than in sea water.

The Panama crossing is in freshwater and therefore there is a small possibility if the ship is fully occupied and with the additional features as mentioned above the Panama authorities have told us the ship might not rise in the locks.

I am sure you would not wish the ship to travel in any circumstance where safety is compromised, Maritime law dictates we must make provision, so we will have to make some additional conditions of carriage on the Panama crossings, as follows:-

Luggage. Must be restricted to one bag per person.

Any souvenirs purchased in Acapulco should be shipped home, not taken onboard.

Food, the ship will be loaded in Los Angeles with sufficient food upto the Panama Canal and reloaded in Cartagena food will be restricted on the day of the crossing, to add extra buoyancy, and will consist of Salads and light snacks only all day.

We further ask all cruisers who are over 12 stone to either diet before the cruise or work out in the gym each day before the crossing to ensure the safety of the ship. Servers will restrict desserts to one per person until after the crossing.

The Captain reserves the right to ask large cruisers at the first lock of the panama canal to either get off and catch the train to the other end, or when the ship is in the lock to ‘jump’’ upwards when the bridge makes an announcement, ship to assist its levitation.

We hope these restrictions do not effect your enjoyment of this cruise and look forward to sailing with you! Have a Magical Day!

Health and safety.

I am a day late in responding to this. I almost bought it until I realized what day it was.
It was very good though!:lmao:

So who is on your Disney Visa? And does it say anything about you?

:woohoo: :woohoo: Just got a call from DU. We got upgraded on our cruise this Saturday! We had connecting SPH rooms (cat 10) now we have connecting 7's with the nav. verandahs. What a way to start the day:)

How exciting for you!!! Have a great trip, I'm so jealous.

Glad you, and many enjoyed it, I have now edited it to add a warning, just in case, as now its no longer April 1st.

I made it get more silly as you get on, to ensure the penny drops at some point.

I like the idea of everyone having to jump to help the Magic rise.

I had one on my Med thread, with an extra port of call at Palma, which whilst simple had many cruisers hitting the website to check the trip.

Good grief! I can't stand bullies! The kids have finally stood up to the 7 1/2 yo terror on our street. They came in with a friend of theirs to play while getting away from him. When I told them that he can't come in our yard, they drew on the driveway. They wrote NO MATTHEW ALLOWED. Well, he came around & didn't like it & tried to get it off of the driveway. OY! Not much later he rode on his bike with his mom to show her. Sorry, but my kids can write pretty much what they want to on our driveway. He pushes DS off of his bike, calls them all names at one time or another, swings a stick at a 3 yo, and holds down another 3 yo on the ground while yelling at him....then he needs to go get his mommy because he doesn't like what the kids wrote? Sorry, but that really irks me. I was hoping that she would come to the door so that I could tell her what I really think about her DS. I had already hosed the chalk off so she didn't see anything. I explained to the kids that they have the right not to play with someone if they choose to...but they don't need to be mean to him

Don't you just love it! The mean kid got bent out of shape because of words? We have a couple in the neighborhood. Last summer dd got upset because a girl she use to play with got nasty with her and shoved her around. I told her to stay away from her. I'm sure that that child's mother thinks he is an angel!

Lisa:

:grouphug: that can be so hard for the kids! Had to finally tell DD she couldn't play alone or in the home of one of the neighborhood boys - something similar. I feel bad, I genuinely like his mom... but things have gone too far. I wish I could talk to her, but I know from others experiences it won't work....same kind of thing - bullys others but then runs to get his mom .....

Hello everyone!

I haven't been on for over a week. Busy with work. I want to congratulate you on your weight loss. 3 lbs away from 10%.:thumbsup2 I am down 26.4 lbs since last Monday. 3.6 lbs loss this week. I go to the meetings on Monday. So it keeps me honest on the weekend!!

Talk to you later.

Karen

Congratulations on the weight loss Karen! That is great!:woohoo:

yep, micme2003,
"i sorta pay "ahhh" attention to lil' details & stuff like that. what's
that's tom jones song...it's not unusually to find :rolleyes1 "

:magnify: the princess: :bride: makes cruising very interesting.
make no mistake about it, i am old fashioned to a fault, & i
enjoy watching the scenery...in apprication for all God's gifts.

[remember when i first posted? i sorta made the observation on
last cruise..and how nice i thought the people here were!. no
jive, by far..were the largest percentages of having fun,
but also the nicest.....now if you really knew me...i
kindness..it is something i think is the :cool2: ! there is something
to be enjoyed about traditions. i really get into all the formal
dressing ups on the cruises..it so neat watching everyone putting
on the ritz...there something to toast , ladies & gents, with their
kiddies in toll...* if everyone went naked..life would become boring
in an instance!

so my points of interests were combining what others are revealing
in themselves and in pics...( i guess its from working many years in
an intensive care unit...noticing lil'details..:wizard: ) &

....life is good but i'm no fool...things can/will changed. [ george
benson's in flight album], however, my primary references are
not so much ...making eye candy judgments...as they are toward
recognizing how beautiful you are inside....my dear departed father,
"it's muxh better to have "character" then to be one"..:rolleyes1

* art was said to be undefinable by a single defintion...but isn't
it the ways man decorates the world? ...[ i got points for that in
art apprication class....] * again...on cruises, esp. on formal
nights...i really appricate all the dressing up including my lil' miss
cutie pie...however, i have learned thru experiences, i stay away
from our room the hour before...when she getting all doll up. pirate:

I love formal nights. The dressing up is fun! My DH knows to give me room also:)

I keep reading it over and over and I:rotfl2: :rotfl2: .

I can't imagine going on a 15 day cruise with one suitcase?
Although if they didn't specify size of the suitcase?

Or getting off the ship and catching the train? Can you imagine the sight of all of us getting off the ship catch the train and get back on the ship?? Do you think it would make American Funniest Videos show on ABC???

And them everyone jump in sync so the ship will rise?

It is too funny!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That sounds like a neighbor from hello! Wouldn't it be nice to drive by their house tomorrow and see the house for sale:)

Unfortunantly it seems like everyone is moving except them. :( The dad is a state trooper & was out walking the dog with the kid a little while ago. I think that it will be great if all of the kids stand up to him.

Good evening!

I hope everyone had a great day! I did! Got "weighed in" today and I am down a total of 32 and 1/2 pounds!!!! I am so excited! Hasn't been easy...but YIPPIE!!!
Just wanted to share!

Chrissie & Karen.... Congrats on your accomplishment. I know how difficult it is, but also know how rewarding it is when your hard work is paying off!!! Keep up the good work :thumbsup2

Apart from me !! :)

David

Was it your birthday, belated good wishes.

party: :bday: :bday: party:
Happy (belated) Birthday, David:hug:

No I didnt but saw the trailers, didnt look good.

Are we thinking of the same guy?? :scratchin :scratchin

We use it for day to day purchases and pay off at end of everymonth. Since DCL takes it for the on-board account, its like an extra credit.....:cool1:

Well, we try to pay off every month :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 . But when we don't, I find their interest rate is not too "user friendly", or husband friendly for that matter :rolleyes1. We have a great rate on our Capital One and get miles from it also, so Disney Visa gets stuck in the drawer

So who is on your Disney Visa? And does it say anything about you?

I have this card, just like the three of these guys together, that's why I selected this card.

Just arrived back from the afternoon at De Leon Springs, what a relaxing time we had. It didn't make it to 85* today, but it did go up to 90* :cloud9: at least according to my car therm.

I've got some pics that I need to load into my laptop.

Have a great trip- Give Mickey my best!!

Not mushy at all . In fact, you had me strolling down memory lane myself......
I LOVE chipped beef on toast, 'cept we called it Sh** on a Shingle :rotfl: :rotfl: . When I described it to DH, he told me if I ever serve it to him for dinner, he'll divorce me  . Haven't had it in 20 years. BTW, we used to love it over boiled potatoes too :goodvibes - YUM!!!

I also like mine over home fried potatoes w/ onions as well. We also know it as S.O.A.S. as well.................:rotfl2:

This talk of food is making me hungry.

Lisa, I feel your aggrevation.....with my DD it is the mean girls more than the bullies (as far as I know, anyway  ), and we have been dealing with it since first grade
