Of course, Andrew, I did suggest earlier that if everyone thought that I would sound like the guys on Goodfellas or Sopranos because I am in NYC, you had to sound like Eliza Doolittle before her vocal lessons . . .

and because I grew up in Raleigh, NC that I should speak like Andy of Mayberry! Isn't it funny how our minds work?

The funny thing is that all of my DW's family does sound like Andy or Opie.
:lmao:

Since I don't have much time to keep with this thread I wanted to ask if anyone else has gotten a stateroom assignment in the last couple of weeks. We do as our TA must have booked first thing in the morning but friends of ours are still on a GTY

That is funny! Does her family have anyone that looks like Barney?????

I haven't heard of anyone getting a room assignment in weeks . . . although people do generally ask whether anyone has every day -- you might be the first today! (Groundhog alert . . .)

I have my stateroom, like you, but many people don't. Your friends shouldn't get worried about it.

Brack, now you have me thinking about that show -- wasn't Raleigh the "big city" for them????

That's too funny . . . somehow I don't think the dogs would fully appreciate the cruise!

Me either but you know that some people will not go anywhere without their pets

Here is more info

Queen Mary 2’s kennel programme is available on all crossings between New York and Southampton in either direction, and is overseen by a full-time Kennel Master who takes care of responsibilities such as feeding, walking and cleaning the ship’s 12 spacious kennels. Travelling dogs and cats also receive a complimentary gift pack and other animal amenities. The kennels and adjacent indoor and outdoor walking areas are open throughout the day, enabling passengers to spend significant time with their pet. Reservations for the kennels may be made at time of booking, and are based on space availability. Contact Cunard for fees and additional requirements.

I think if they were going to do it, it would have been by now, I think wholesale room assisgments will be about 60 days before the cruise.

I am aware of two a few weeks back, that's all.

Unfortunately yes and others that look like most sterotypical southern characters as well. :confused3

I've got to go for now . . . my middle daughter is in a school musical that is having a 5 hour tech rehearsal today and my oldest has to be roused out of bed so that she can study for exams (starting this Thursday). Spring break and our Western Caribbean cruise can't come quickly enough . . .

Yea, me too Karen.................;)

Finished the bill paying just as my brother Pete (from Jacksonville, FL) came knocking at our front door. Pete came up for his best friend's mother's funeral. Big brother to the resuce, Pete forgot his black shoes and black socks, good thing we wear the same size shoes................:lmao:

This afternoon we have to take Angelina to the mall, she needs some "new" summer shorts for our trip the end of the month.

My brother Rob called Thursday night and said he has a used computer for my mom, he will be dropping it off at our house this week so we can take it to her. I know at least one thing I'll be doing while I'm there, setting up the :surfweb: for my mom....................

Speaking of my mom, she just called, got to see what she is calling for.

My mom drove her cousin Ruth up to South Carolina yesterday so Ruth could see her daughter, my mom wanted to check her e-mail messages but was having trouble signing in, it's been so long since she has gotten on a computer she forgot how to sign in..............:rotfl: It's a good thing I set up her account, since I know her user name and password I was able to help her sign in........what a morning around here.................

I freaked Hazel out as well this morning............I started setting "some" of our clocks ahead already, she didn't know what time it was when she got up and came out into the livingroom................:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Andy,

Sorry to hear of the loss of a family friend.

Will Verandah Gran get her own DIS account?

Thanks for the reminder about setting the clocks ahead. :hourglass

I love your tags especially "mind the gap". It brings back good memories of my time in London.

I would like to know how you make the last line scroll!
:confused3

Are they coming on the cruise? . . . now instead of Mayberry I'm seeing Deliverance

..... and unconditional love. We humans could learn a thing or two from dogs. :goodvibes

Yes and no, I think Dogs are very clever always in the sun or near a fire, thoose long eyes when you have chocolate, or a nice dinner. Prefer your bed to theirs,

Unconditional???? or know the hand that feeds them!

I have herd of two a few weeks back, that's all.

What about assignments for people who booked directly through Disney instead of through one of teh wholesale clubs?

(Sorry....I just couldn't resist playing with the language on that one! )
