DS had an unexplained fever a few days ago. Really hot, uncomfortable, didn't sleep well and most suspiciously--he wouldn't eat his mandarin oranges. He wasn't faking anything...

We figured it's because he's cutting his last 2 molars at the same time. Gave infant ibuprofen...and he was bouncing off the walls! Then on Sunday while at Target he got this  look on his face and then pooped a brick! :rotfl: I mean WOW! It was so bad we thought we were going to be chased from the store! Next thing you know, he's happy as a lark and demanding food! :goodvibes:

I don't recomend the brick remedy but hopefully she'll be back to normal real soon!

Aww...

... when I went in to pick up my feverish daughter from pre-school I had ibuprofen and a pocket full of mini- kit-kats to bribe her into taking the medication (if she refused). No bouncing off the walls here though as she set about taking a long feverish nap. Now she's with Mom - and they seem stable enough.

Like you don't get any deals on DL. Try being from a state that doesn't have the parks. We get squat.

Yeah - we get the DL deals - and we have our little trade secrets for doing even better.... <shuuu!>;)

Last time we stayed in LV we actually stayed off the strip (across the freeway and a little south of Mandalay). I think it was a Courtyard. Really nice and quiet hotel. DW and I don't really gamble, so we didn't need the casino right there.

Sometimes we stay in the old Downtown area. The Golden Nugget is not so bad - but some of the other properties are... scary. Now the courtyard is a nice reliable property...

:rolleyes1

The doctors all say they don't run fevers etc when cutting a tooth. My DD used to get the worst case of diarrhea and run a low temp. And as soon as the tooth broke everything was normal. I have to say tho, she pretty much lived on bananas and rice cereal during that time.
Speaking of toxic waste. One time on a visit to inlaws, my MIL for whatever brain lapse reason gave the 18 month DD a whole box of raisins to munch on. I was in the other room and was totally unaaware. Next day flight back to NY, that child has the worst case all the way home. You should've seen the look of the passengers near us. You just couldn't hide that smell and try to change a baby in the restroom. I can laugh about it now:rotfl2:

Do you take your kids up with you or just DW?

Roger,

You went to UW, correct? Did you finish there? Are you a UW fan?

Jeff, I attended UW for pharmacy school. I never got into school spirit though. I have always been a UCLA fan and will never change.

10 bottles left on the wall...

one bottle of fluff now gone...

Yup, but they all burn the candle at both ends. He asked if he could go swimming today! I guess you figure out what I said.

A former boss has two kids. DD14 is in soccer, ballet and ice dnacing which led her to ice hockey. Much to the chagrin of the boys on her team (and more important, the opposing teams), she's very good. She's in them because she enjoys all the activities. Her DS12 is into soccer, football, baseball etc. She has him doing that stuff to keep him out of prison! :rotfl:
