I went and bought t-**** for the image...I am trying to find your instructions again (I saved them but now can't find them) How do you reverse the image? I think in your instructions you said you didn't have to? But I am confused.

thanks!

I'm probably way late on this and someone else has answered. If you use the transfer paper for "DARK" shirts, you don't have to reverse it and the colors tend to be brighter (Go ahead and use it on White - works just fine!). If you use the transfer paper for "WHITE" shirts, you DO have to reverse it but I have found the colors to be a little faded. One plus of the "WHITE" type is that it feels more like it is printed on the shirt. The "DARK" has a little bit of a plastic feel on the shirt - it might bother someone who was really sensitive, but my DS9 who tends to be the kind of kid that you end up taking all the tags out of his clothes hasn't been bothered by it.

I have really sensitive skin, I pretty much burn under artificial light and break out for virtually any reason at all. I have found the best non-greasy sunscreen for me is Coppertone "Faces" - not sure of the exact name but its fabulous. Its lovely and soft, more like a nice moisturiser than a heavy sunscreen. I don't know if its waterproof though so you would need to reapply often if you are swimming or perspiring.

Another vote for "Faces" from Coppertone. I don't have oily skin, so I'm not sure how it is with that, but it doesn't feel greasy at all to me and just like a nice lotion.

We might be in we might be out...

We missed the original reservation deadline and so I put our name in with a travel agent in case anything came up. Lat week we got the call that rooms had opened up. After ALOT of discussion :worship: and some internet surfing on the cost of alternative 15 day vacations I finally convinced DH to go for it. It took less time then the Med Cruise last summer so we have some progress.

Our problem now is can we get two rooms close to each other. I am not crazy about my 13 year old and 16 year old being in a room across the ship from us and my DH is not crazy about the idea of him staying with my sons and me my daughter.

Please send us some pixy dust. :wizard: We love Disney and this would be our 7th Disney cruise.

Welcome!!! Jump right in!

I'm planning on making our own shirts Coral. Ends up being about $7.00 each.

With cheap T-shirts from Michael's I can experiment. Have to check w/ my mom to see if she wants to conquer this w. me.

Don't Boy Scouts collect these sorts of patches for their brag vests? I know DS11 is collecting Junior Ranger patches this summer for his. It's a thought - and might up the count. Provided the patch is unisex. :)

Ug. What a week. Well, shirt sales are closed. :faint: We wound up at about 415 - so we cleared that last hurdle by a bit. Thanks everyone!

DS11 has his scuba lessons every night this week, and the open water dive this weekend. He had his first lesson last night. All the book work, time in the pool, and THEN his swim test - 200 yd swim and a 10 min tread water. Mind you it was 9:20pm by the time he got to this, and he'd just finished his first day of summer camp at the swim club = 3 hours of outdoor play + 1 1/2 hours of swimming. He was tired walking in the door for his lesson! He wasn't fast - but he got the job done and passed his swim test. :yay: Boy was he whipped when we got home. The down side is I'm spending all my evenings this week sitting around a pool - no DIS time. :worried: On the other hand, the dive instructor said I could suit up and go play on the bottom of the pool if I wanted. That might be fun. I might actually get a sign off on a refresher course out of it. ::yes::

Our IT dept pushed a new version of our email SW to my phone. It totally trashed it!! Had to do a hard reset - lost all my programs, settings, etc. UG. :furious: AND I've got all day meeting every day for the rest of the week - so there's no chance to get a little break during the day. AND you wouldn't believe the amount of stuff that has to be done over the next three weeks before I leave on sabbatical. :duck:

I had to decide to change my routing for our 5-weeks of pre-cruise camping. Fuel is simply too high to go traipsing all the way out to MT and have a fancy cruise on top of it. We'll stay in NorCal, OR, and WA. But, still do all the camping. So, now I have to go replan the entire first half. And hope that the fishing guide doesn't realize I'm 2 days inside the 30 day cancellation window when I call tomorrow. :worried:

BUT... ONLY THREE WEEKS TILL SABBATICAL!!!

Sorry, just had to rant a bit. I'll crawl back under my rock now.
.

Thanks for adding the shirts to your already full list of things to do! :worship:

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. As birthdays go, this one ranked right up there with the time in 4th grade when I had the measles, but I'm still alive, and now that I am coming down the back side of the hill, I guess every day I wake up should be considered a good day, right?

Oh geez J. R., you're not dead yet!!! :rotfl2: Hey if my mother could live to be almost 80 after years of smoking, not eating right, never exercising, then there's hope for the rest of us. Of course it took a few open heart surgeries for her to get there but get there she did! ;)

Bought this for DS tonight

Found it by accident since the seller spelled cumberbund without the 'd'
When I lost a previous auction, my loser email had a list of similar items and there it was!

Great catch Monica! :thumbsup2

I had pre eclampsia with my Drew too! My legs were the same exact size from my lower calf to my toes. And I had pitting edema, so dh would poke my ankle and watch the spot SLOWWLY fill back in. He said "Oh man, you are like silly putty!" Nice, I am having your kid here!

I had it pre eclampsia with Cade too. I wasn't really swollen though & in fact I really didn't have any syptoms at all, but they kept hospitalizing me because my blood pressure was sky rocketing. They finally took him at 37 weeks & just in the nick of time. No fluid left in my uterus & his heart dropped drastically during delivery. He's my little miracle now! ::yes::

HEHEHE on our honeymoon, after burning while snorkeling, we went to New Zealand a few days later and actually had SNOW on the night we happened to be staying at a ski lodge in a hotel that reminded us both of Steven King's "The Shining" :lmao:

AC, what's that? We don't own AC. In this crazy town the philosiphy is that there's "only a few miserable weeks" and so people don't build houses with AC. Even the houses worth a million $$ don't have AC... But we're discussing that huge expense and having something run to the bedrooms at least because we can't stand being hot at night! Oh we also have no ducts in the house since the heat is all radient...

Same here in Massachusetts. We just have window units, but they do the trick. Our schools don't have AC either, but they didn't dismiss them when the temp went up to close to 100 the other day. My poor DD goes to an ancient school on the third floor where the windows barely open. She was just miserable when she got home. :worried:

Me too! The worst nightmare of any one with a family member who is a ::cop:.

::yes:: :hug:

BTW....we finally ended up with a new car that was just dropped off at a dealership 40 miles away!!! Our dealer switched out another car to get this one for us. I guess the 5th time was the charm!!! :faint: :faint: We bought it while it was still on the truck!!!::yes:: ::yes:: It is tucked safely in our garage now!!:woohoo: We got another little Vibe by Pontiac!!! It is really made by Toyota for GM.:thumbsup2 This is a 2009 and we had a 2005. John drives far to work and we had 46,000 miles in just three years. Not exactly a luxury car but it does give us 33 miles to the gallon of gas!!!:worship: :worship:

Woohoo congrats on the new car Cheryl! :woohoo:

Congrats on the new car (FINALLY), Cheryl

I just bougt my first Rash Guard yesterday. I am usually a tanner, but was told to keep out of the sun for a year :( . I have also begun a nice collection of big floppy hats :rolleyes1

Glad your home and resting. Take Care :flower3:

Congrats to DS, Diane. That's all it takes to boost that confidence. DD has been playing soccer since she was 4 and got her first goal ever last Saturday. Of course, with her, soccer is for socializing

Thanks & congrats to DD! :cheer2:

Did you ever go to the Mohegan Sun (hotel/casino)? I hit the jackpot there in 2004. His name is Sean, he'll be 3 in July! A word of advice - it is cheaper to play the slot machines!

I love Mohegan Sun! We've only been a few times & I never win anything, but I love going!

Fellow Pirates, we've seen the Shutters staff taking pics of the crew during the lock portions of the transit and the fine assortment of colours the WB crew were flying.......

So swabbies and wenches, what colours will ye be flying on Panama day? We'll have this 3x5 beauty attached to our verandah:

Andy

That's wicked cool! :cool1:

If y'all could...we could use some prayers....

DH's father became very ill duringthe night/today. He refused to go to the Dr for MIL. So, BIL called dh -- FIL is more likely to listen to my dh then he is to other family members. DH took him this afternoon to the Emergency Room. They are still there having tests run.

FIL is 78 but, extremely healthy -- golf 4 or 5 times a week, etc... Worked full time (CEO until this last month and now a *consultant* for the company), etc....

MIL doesn't do well with illness and she said that he looked just like *Ruby before she died * (she died of pancreatic cancer about 6 months ago).

FIL, MIL & DH cold use the prayers!!!

So sorry Steph! Sending prayers for all of you!

So the kids that are still in school, are they year round? I can't believe that if the kids go year round they don't have a/c... Who can concentrate when it's that hot anyway?

No not year round, but they don't get out till the end of next week. Thankfully it has cooled off a bit.

We saw it on the 11 nite, and it seemed like a lightweight way for them to finish up the cruise (it was on the final night).

But pirates, being pirates, I'm sure we can liven it up some pirate:

Andy

You are soo right!! It was very low key for Disney.

Congrats on the new car.. what color is it.. and what features does it have??

Lots of goodies and dark grey...my favorite color!!! I tried to call you but I heard you got email fom Pamela about mini meet!!:woohoo:

Not all special cruises. No MM club night on the Med Repo.

My uncle and cousins used to work for NUMMI. If you are close enough to visit the plant then you will be close enough to visit me...and Chris...and Sara....and Johanna...and Andy...well, you'll have friends here!!

I think no med repo because of more American than anything else.:confused3

Nice to know I have lots of friends to visit!!!

They didn't do it on the 10-night holiday cruise either.

But you had Santa!!!;)

Thanks, but I will be on my way to Boy Scout camp that day. (Although after hearing about what happened tonight in Iowa, I will make sure my weather radio has batteries. It is a very night for Scouters.)

I did not hear the news tonight....what happened???:confused3
You will be missed!!!::yes::

Hi Monica!

My dad worked at that NUMMI plant as well. He's been retired for a while. He worked their for a long time.

Diane Goodnight now!!!

Hi Cheryl!!! I have to wake my DD at 3:30am to get ready for school so I'm probably not going to bother going to bed. She has to be at school before 4:30 for their school trip to NYC. They are going to the zoo, museum, ground zero, statue of liberty, Hairspray, etc. all in 2 days. Glad I'm not going! :faint:

I would probably throw in Blue Bayou into the one place that sells out in advance
We want to eat at Blue Bayou for the atmosphere. Would you recommend lunch or dinner?

Personally, I didn't think that Blue Bayou stood up to its reputation when we went. If you do go, you should request a "water side" table so you can see the Pirates boats leaving. We were at a table too far from the water and while the ambiance was nice, it would have been better closer to the water. Also, as a previous person said, the ambiance is what you're going to BB for, not the "great" food! :)

can you get early entry with just the tickets when you're not staying in a DL resort? If so, I'd like to know the answer to this question too! hehe

We stay at the DLH every year for a company expo and it's my understanding that you have to be staying at the resort to get in early. Or maybe AP holders get in early too. I have a contact at DLH that I can check with if anyone is interested and can't find out another way. It might take me a day, but she's typically pretty good. Just let me know.

..there you are!..ms. micmse...! :yay: ..i sent a pm'!

I agree. I think the first lunch seating starts at 11:00 or 11:30 - can't remember. If you make your reservation for when Blue Bayou opens you can request a water side table when you check in. Blue Bayou is not inexpensive either.

I'm in! I love Donny and Marie, I met her when I was about 12. She was my idol!

I have never met her but had a chance to meet him..kind of..I was at a Julian Lennon concert...way back when..and sitting next to me was Donny..(now..I am not really a celebrity gusher..but I had to say something!) I told him I had always had fun watching his and Marie's show. He mumbled something...and turned I back. Next someone comes up gushing about him and asks for an autograph...he was really rude and told them he doesn't do autographs! I was really shocked at the tone. Anyways..I always remembered that. A few years ago..I was reading a book he wrote and he talked about during that time frame (not specifically the concert) he was suffering from anxiety and kind of just "disappeared" for a bit. I kind of understood after that (not that I think he should have been rude but I understand anxiety and wanting to be kind of left alone).

Still..I would love to see them...

Hi Everyone --

Huummmm .. . I've gotta say I'm feeling overwhelmed at this point. Seems like there is SO much to do yet and we're almost down to TWO months!! I've gotta get some time to make a spreadsheet or something!! DH is starting to get concerned about how much $$ we need . . .LOL. I'm glad he is FINALLY thinking about it . ..LOL He just figured out tips today . . . I reminded him how hard everyone works for us when we're on the ship. Anyway we look at it, we'll be relaxing for 15 days in a little over a month! Yeah!

Would love to hear how you're handling these last two months of preparation . . (I like the person who is watching their DS get his scuba certs! that's so cool!).

Well, off to sleep

Have a super day!
