Romper Room was a syndicated kids show. There were different Miss XXX's all over. I can't even remember who ours was....Miss Maryann maybe??

Anyway, at the end of the show she would take out her magic mirror and 'see' all of her friends. We always listened intently to find out if she saw us. I don't think I ever heard my name.

So when the pirate was lurking, I took out my Magic Mirror and named who I saw online at that time.

I used to watch RR before I went to school in the morning....and never heard my name.... Back then Stephanie wasn't as common. In fact I was in HS before I met another girl named Stephanie and then I was almost 30 before I met my 2nd person named Stephanie and now I know a TON of Stephanies! Of course for most of them I'm old enough to be their mom!!!

I had to comment on this. We must be of the same era. I watched Romper Room on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company), because they carried more educational programs, than PBS at the time! I still live across the river from Windsor, Ont. That was my pre-school at the time. Also got Mr. Rogers and The Friendly Giant.

Here is my excuse for not getting the pirate. It has been one of those days!!! First we bought a new car......then they sold our new car .....then we bought a new car......then the new car was sold to soneone else. This has been going back and forth for the last 5 hours. At this point I am not sure what is going on!!! I would like to forget the whole thing. We just buy a new car every year and we are due. John puts on a lot of miles every year so we need to get one that is dependable. I feel like I need to throw something.

Oh please, we even had the wood plank and patio block "entertainment center" and the giant cable spool "coffee table" in our apartment!!

When I bought my first house, a friend moved in and paid rent. He had lots of 2x4 furniture... Was kinda nice to have a 2x4 coffed table since it didn't matter what you spilled on it!

DH owned his place too and had just bought a nice bedroom set and couch and huge tv so we used his furniture when we bought a place together and got married

This one runs about $130 to $140 and is 3 mp

DH bought a "Snap Sights" camera in Honduras. It's similar to the cheap one you showed with a reusable case, but we're not sure yet what other camera will even fit in there!

We've also used the disposable ones from Fuji and Kodak and they seemed to work fine for snorkeling.

Here is what I have so far for the tour. It will be on 8/18 at 11:00 a.m. I will notify you of the first cabin. If you want to join us..please just send me a PM and I will add you to the list. Sounds like others have it covered.......again......I believe someone said "a day late and a dollar short" like I said, this is the downside of coming in as a newbie......everything has been taken care of so I can't be much help other than buying a couple special people a drink

Don't wory about it...just enjoy the fun and not the work! You never know..things come up and we need someone to head the task...just keep as involved as you like and you might find something you would like to do.

A lot of it isn't so much planning things as participating! And there are a lot of things you can participate in. Welcome to the group - I look forward to meeting you.

Uhhhhh bracelets... On my Dec DD... i wore that bracelet 24-7 (except for formal night) It was neat to be in the hot tub and start talking to others wearing theirs...

Here is a sample "name tag" I could offer to our DIS Pirates so we could identify each other on the first day.....just an idea and an offer.....

What i've seen work in the past was printing them on larger label stock (think the 1.5 X3" ones) and most of us stuck it to our sleeves...

and people wonder why we're running out of natural resources. It should be illegal to have that much impervious space for just 2 people. 17-18 fine i'd consider..but for 2..just ridiculous...

In our first apartment...DH made the coffee and end tables out of lumber and stained them... They are so solid... 3-4 people could stand on the coffee table at the same time and it still would be fine...

I could have bought different stuff when we got our then new couches a couple years ago... But actually i'm not impressed by the stuff in the stores but my other ones still kinda match well and they mean so much more to me because DH made them...

Hope all our Maryland and Virginia Friends are doing ok, looking at weather map and there are all kinds of tornado warnings, etc.

Well, no, Christopher (KSDISNEYDAD) turned 40 on May 19th but the surprise party was May 31. His parents and sister came from Kansas City and we had about 50 people here. He had no idea.

I'm looking for more Philly info, but had to respond to this. Dimitries is a great place for seafood. It's very small, BYOB, not really an open grill like you imagine. It's two Asian guys cooking Greek seafood on a grill in a store front. The food is fabulous. Whole trout, octopus, shrimp scampi & calamari.

Sorry I didn't respond back. I had to leave to go to see a surgeon. I have to have my gall bladder out Monday! I have been sick for a year and the last time I got sick I had to call an ambulance! I will be so glad to not feel bad anymore! This won't be as bad as my last Disney cruise which was two weeks after rotator cuff surgery!

And it is right next door to me! It is 8500 sq ft w/elevator. I think there are about 8 -10 double french doors that will open up to the pool & one of the outdoor entertaining areas (covered w/fireplace, etc..)

There is at least one section of the house that a family could be living in and the only person that would know is the housekeeper!!

There are a handful of houses in that price range in our neighborhood (ours isn't one of them!!!!).
