It's great to see my friend Chris there along with the friends I will be making this August! Glad you had a wonderful day.

So when's the 75 day mark? Dreams Unlimited tells me that my trip is now 75 days away.... But I'm unable to book anything.... Is anyone else booking at 75 or am I the only one??

Tonight at midnight, Eastern time.

What do the other California DISers do when we can't make to DL for the DIS meet? We have our own DIS meet on the beach :yay: After all the beach is probably the only thing that could come close to DL or WDW right. Tom (CaptainCrash) invited us and travelnfam (Janelle, DH Lindsey (sp?) and their two children to a beach gathering today. We had a great time with Tom BBQing and the kids playing in the surf. We lit a bonfire and roasted marshmallows and made smores. What a great day chatting and getting to know each other. Tom and Alicia were very gracious hosts. Thank you very much for a wonderful day. What would a day at the beach with Tom be without photos.

Great photos and looks like it was a great day, too!

Hey Tracy - I may be in the minority but for some reason - I really found this show pretty hard to follow. I agree with you reasoning that it may be a bit difficult to perform if the ship is rocking. When DH and I tried to find seats, we were stopped at the top as there were performers waiting at the top of the stairs to enter on their cue.

This is just my personal opinion but all the tiwrly (ok its late - the spelling poriton is off) and spinning acrobats and the weird costumes just didn't do it for me. But I do agree with you - what will they replace it with? Personally, I wonder if they won't be bringing back John Charles as he had a great response to his shows. Only time will tell.

I loved When Mickey Dreams last year on the Med . . . it reminded me of a Cirque show. I'm sorry to hear they won't be doing it on this cruise.

So, I got my interview. Two weeks from today. Got a lot of homework to do over the next two weeks. :cool1:

Congrats and good luck!:thumbsup2

Hi Liz! :wave2:

I just realized that I lapped you. I must get this body to bed as I have to take DD to school this week. She has finals and her last day of school is Wednesday. Plus all week its 12 noon let out. Lucky me -

Get to bed.................:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good morning everyone.. Nice sunny morning herre in Central New York.. I am off to the Doctors with my DAD.. post chemo/radiation CT scan today.. Plase keep him in your thoughts for CA free today.. He was Dx in September for Pancreatic Cancer...and is kicking butt!!!

So far I've found two dresses that I really like.

Prom season is just getting started here so I'm not expecting find any good prices on dresses until next month.

I love the top of the second dress, but think the skirt might be a bit much. I like the top of the first one, but the skirt is boring.:confused3

What do you think?

I think the green dress is fine for formal night or the moonlight ball room night,.. They are both very pretty...

Debbi, maybe I will see you in the halls at least.. We are on late hopefully at 8pm...

My DH will look like the waitstaff as well. He will have a black tux jacket for one formal night, and a white tux jacket for the other. He will also be sporting a suit for SemiFormal/Palo's

Ho Ho :rotfl2:

I remember reading about that....scary....:scared1:

Also, if anyone is like me and wants to get their hands on anything from the WB, their meets thread has some great pics and even video slideshows recently posted. I have been very happy looking at them.

Which post? Have been reading most of them.

Good luck for your dad . . . that's great that he has been beating pancreatic cancer!:woohoo:

I haven't looked for SPF clothing before. But what would be the difference between these posted and any other shirt? I'd still have to put sunscreen on my arms? I guess I pictured SPF shirts as mock turtlenecks and long sleeves. Guess I should research it more.

You can still get significant sun rays through your clothes. The Rit and other products build suscreen into the fibers so you are totally protected.

Great News! I will definitely be thinking good thoughts and saying a prayer today for more good news! :)

O

My 5th grade teacher actually took books away from me! I was not allowed to have a leisure reading book in my desk, because I would rush through my school work so I could get back to my book!

I'm always reading at least 2 books and a magazine.

Yup. Got the sundress.

I can fix a leaky faucet, install a toilet, change a tire and the oil in my car, install a ceiling fan, re-wire my dryer, install laminate flooring, drywall...but I have never, in my entire life, ever, cut the grass!

Like serving dishes and wine glasses, credit cards should never be empty.

(Disclaimer: OK, I'm a PIF 2x a month kind girl, but that also means there is always room on my card if I ever want to jet off to Paris or something. I also always have a bottle of champaign in my fridge, in case we have something to celebrate.)

I may just wear mine to the pool...depends on how many tastings we have scheduled for one day.

My DS16 can't even walk by an instruction manual without picking it up and reading it. I always have to confiscate anything that has words on it if I expect him to do anything else. :confused3 :confused3 But I am very proud of that too...but getting him to talk to someone not in our family, a whole different story. Total opposite of his mother...:cool2:

Got the sundress too...

I used to mow the lawn with then DD1 in a backpack on my back. I loved it, she was happy and I was getting something accomplished...by my elderly neighbors didn't like it at all!!! They used to come over and yell at my husband for "making" me do that. So I learned to mow when they were gone!!!!

Ditto on the wine/champagne comment. I order wine by the case, but I am having trouble switching over to summer wines. I love a good red wine, but it is hard to me to drink a stomach warming red wine when it is 80 degrees...

Great picture and I am jealous of the Dole Whips...

Like someone else just mentioned, our flight isn't until 8pm coming home, so we will be headed off to WDW for a few hours...which park to go to though, that is the question...

Everyone here loves to read except DH. Right now DD is reading Twighlight by Stephenie Meyer. It's about vampires & is apparently very popular among the teen set right now. :confused3

Woo hoo! congrats! :woohoo:

Oh, I just ordered 3 books by Ms. Meyer for DD14, she is finishing one right now and actually asked me to get her another one by the same author. I think it is the first time she has ever ASKED for a book. She is not very much like DS16...she would rather talk to anyone and everyone that would listen to her...she gets that from hmmmmm, oh yeah, her mother...:cool2:

Andy, I see you got your answer from a later post but thought I'd put my two cents in. I was standing on the highest level but outside the restaurant (I refused to pay for the drink for both DH and I in order to get a better view) back in 2005 with my 100-300 conventional lens and got some decents shots. This time, I took my 100-400 lens and my 25-105 lens. And this time I climbed all the way down to the bottom landing. I ended up shotting at about 200m and got some really close up shots of their face expressions. The 400 gave me good face shots but blurred when they hit the water - too close but keep in mind if you climb all the way down to the bottom - you got to climb all the way back up. LOL :)

Thanks for the info. Maybe I can hire a porter to lug my photo gear around
