Do your kids say they did something "on accident?" My daughter says that and it drives me nuts. I always say it was an accident. Oh well, off to dd's softball game at 6pm.

Tina....I hate to admit it, but I think I may have used that phrase before!

I also ask my dh to itch my back and it drives him crazy! He says "you mean SCRATCH your back because you have an itch!"

Also big news. Katie is now a member of the Wyandotte Academy Youth Choir Ensemble! She got the letter yesterday and is in seventh heaven! Only thing is in looking at last years schedule, they start practicing the last week of August! I guess I have to write another letter to the director.

Oh.......and congrats to your dd!!!!

I wanted to share what we do with our doors.
I buy the Magnetic Photo Holders that have the magnet on the back and the clear plastic sleeve on the front. They are thin not a picture frame. It is like a sheet of magnetic paper with a clear plastic sleeve/pocket on the front.
I get them at Michaels craft store. I have also found them sometimes at the Dollar Stores.
I make lots of different signs (sheets) to fit the many sizes these are available in. This only requires a basic printer to print on a piece of copy paper. Then we change our door each day. I do not have to keep buying magnetic paper for the copier.
People walking by always comment on the "changed" door.
I keep the extras in the pocket behind the one to display. We re-use them cruise after cruise. Just print new sheets to go wih that cruise.

Question? I remember talk about the dry erase boards for the doors. Was it Crash? What ever happened with that plan. I think Laura mentioned she was on the committee handing them out. Could be wrong.

The Condo on the end of my building is up for rent and DS is so distressed with all the construction at his apartment and they are upping his rent, he wants to rent it. It would be nice if he did. 2 bedrooms 2bath and a garage. The unit between us is normally quiet during the day and he isn't a noisy kid until he pulls out the video games DH would have a dinner buddy while I am at work and then I will have someone to bring in my mail and papers while we are on the TOAL. Even Rocky would be happy being able to do his business in familiar territory.

I won't let DD6 get on her friend's trampoline despite her objections. And with good reason -- I had to pick her up from school this morning because she fell on the sidewalk going into school and has a bump on her head and will have a black eye. She has NO grace whatsoever. So much for her dreams of being a ballerina.

I had ot laugh at this... 17dd is the most ungraceful person when it comes to walking....BUT with lots of work (for the first few years she was the worst dancer in the class!!!!) she is a very good ballerina now!
Unfortunately this past year she had to stop Ballet (after 10yrs) because of her scoliosis -- it was causing one of her knees to swell and extreme pain while dancing.

Phew! Another thing out of the way! Got our flights to LAX and from MCO booked last night! We arrive in LAX at 8:42AM on the 17th and leave MCO at 2:15PM on the 1st!
It's hard to believe that last Saturday I wasn't going on the cruise and now I'm booked, paid in full, have flights, transfers and excursions booked! WOO HOO!!!!

Sort of reminds me of last year and what started us on this TOAL.

My Dad passed away in July last year and within 3 hours DH and kids had to leave for his DSis wedding. I stayed home (my sister was around - I wasn't totally by myself). By the time he returned (six days later), not only were we flying across the country to WDW for 10 days, we were going a DCL cruise. Plus, I had figured out about the Panama Cruise and was booking a fake cruise on board, so we could try to get on this one (succeeded in DEC ). I needed something else to think about other than what life was dealing me with at the time. Yup, a lot can happen in a week.

I remember when my ds first started to learn how to add double digits. I was helping him with his homework, and I said.....

"okay, that's right.....8 plus 4 is 12, so 2 comes down here and we carry the 1..."

And he said "No! That's not how we do it! We don't carry the 1!"

Me...."What do you mean, you don't carry the 1? How can you not carry the 1?!"

So, needless to say.....I have not been able to help him with his math homework since first grade.

Ohhh....I was called to the Principal's office by DS's mirthless troll...err...teacher....for teaching DS to "borrow" and "carry" instead of "regrouping."

Here are the Logos from the Ts***'s and cruise banners in large size ....You could use these for magnets , Iron on your own shirt, door signs , frame it and hang it in your house (I will autograph on the cruise for you ...LOL for a small fee ) Whatever your need may be for it , here it is .....

There is a kid on my soccer team who says that every week "Coach, who are we versing today?". I cringe every time and say "We are PLAYING such-and-such". I am tempted to say "I don't know that word "versing", do you mean "who are we playing against?"

My kids use that all the time with Soccer. We're versing so and so. Drives me nuts.

did anyone read..that old report?..from disney55,over the 10-nighter...
seem liked alot..irritable & conflicting..cruisers, & on the same trip-
..did you expeirenced..any of that micmse?

Alot of that ruckus had to do with me. The person that wrote that report had posted some pretty rude things about me and my dh on someone else's TR.
It got so bad that he was sending PM's to people and I had someone (that had not gone on the cruise but, had asked him a question on his TR) PM and ask me what was up with the wacko --- he actually slammed me in his PM to her which had nothing to do with his trip at all.

He actually was posting LIES about my DH. Telling people that my DH went around saying he was a higher up at Disney --- then everyone on our cruise meets thread laughed at him and called him on it. DH told everyone that asked where he works -- DH is Senior VP for a publicly owned company. It's not hard to google either his name or the company (and get all of his info!) to find out the truth! LOL!

He also posted stuff about several of us that lead us to believe that he was *watching us* ALOT!!!!

In the 15yrs I've been on the Internet (and I have always used my real name and city) this is the only time that I was worried about my safety. Yes, he was that creepy in the stuff he PM'd to me and what he said about me on the boards.

He was banned from the Dis last year -- for things he had said & PM'd to the mods.

I expect this same person to be on this cruise.
