8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #8

Alot of that ruckus had to do with me. The person that wrote that report had posted some pretty rude things about me and my dh on someone else's TR.
It got so bad that he was sending PM's to people and I had someone (that had not gone on the cruise but, had asked him a question on his TR) PM and ask me what was up with the wacko --- he actually slammed me in his PM to her which had nothing to do with his trip at all.

He actually was posting LIES about my DH. Telling people that my DH went around saying he was a higher up at Disney --- then everyone on our cruise meets thread laughed at him and called him on it. DH told everyone that asked where he works -- DH is Senior VP for a publicly owned company. It's not hard to google either his name or the company (and get all of his info!) to find out the truth! LOL!

He also posted stuff about several of us that lead us to believe that he was *watching us* ALOT!!!!

In the 15yrs I've been on the Internet (and I have always used my real name and city) this is the only time that I was worried about my safety. Yes, he was that creepy in the stuff he PM'd to me and what he said about me on the boards.

He was banned from the Dis last year -- for things he had said & PM'd to the mods.

I expect this same person to be on this cruise.

I have no idea what you are referring to (I am often out of the loop and haven't read anything abut this TR) but I am sorry that this person has caused your family so much trouble.

Cheryl is watching the new Indy Jones movie now. She'll let us know what she thinks later I'm sure.

Up date on Drs visit. We get there at 12:30 and noone there. We are sitting in the waiting room and DH figures they are at lunch. Yup.That's why they told us to come at 12:30 Social worker comes by and says she will look for someone. I take out my Zune and start watching a movie.Almost finished it . Finally see doc at 1:30. Done 10 min later. He is moving his practice to MD Anderson as FH has been suppressing his clinical trials and studies. Probably will add 10 min to the trip as it is further in the city and this hospital is right off I-4. Cleared him to get his Hep A shot so that is on the list for June. BTW, our health dept recommends Typhus as well. Wow 86 days and I haven't gotten anything done yet.

Tomorrow, I go to the dermotologist to have some things looked at. And then I get the dubious honor of picking up DDs furkids from the vet and driving them home, crating them and then pick up the grandkids. These are big rescue dogs and they had better behave. Seemed the kids got into trouble with the other Granddad. And Heavens! He punished them. So maybe we won't look so boring tomorrow. They released the results of the notorious Fcats yesterday. The little one called DD and told her he had bad news and good news. This is the brainy one. He told her the bad news was she was going to be broke!! DD wasn't amused , and figured he got into some trouble.. He then told her she owed him a big steak dinner as he got double 5's on the test.(5s are the highest). Kid loves steak. My DGD hasn't been given her scores yet. Hope she did well as she is moving up to middle school.

DD is wandering the museums in Chicago and doesn't want to leave. She loves Art and never really got to see these works of Art up close. She lands tomorrow at 5. Rush hour on a Friday. At least I am not picking them up this time.

Oh DH finally got his passport today. He still never came up on the website when we checked on the status.

Pick on me all you want but, why pick on someone that you've NEVER spoken to?

I do believe that he will be on this cruise -- in a Cat 1. He likes to make sure that he only travels in a Cat 1. That's what started his beef with me. I had a Cat 1 and he was never able to upgrade and was *stuck* in a Cat 2.

He made fun of me hosting the wine & cheese party -- but, he had hosted one in his suite on another sailing. But, for some reason he posted that the reason I hosted was because I was wanting people to like me... He had PM'd me before the cruise and said that he would handle the wine party for me and I told him that wasn't necessary that I would make the arrangements -- I know how to throw a party! LOL!

If you see a short, overweight, balding (always wears a hat) man in his early 30's (I think that is about his age???) watching the Disers... that would be him. His wife is a small, thin hispanic woman and they have no children.

He actually posted about sitting in the clubs at night (he made sure to post that he was drinking Coke and nothing else) and watching some of us... Why???

hmmm....wonder if it's the same couple....on the repo last year a couple was throwing a fit....they had a Cat 1 for the last Med cruise and wanted to stay in it for the repo, but it was already booked....DCL wouldn't kick out the families that had them (on was a DISr not sure of the other) and these folks were furious....they were pointed out to me but I have no idea what they looked like, not the sort of folks I wanted to hang out with ya' know?

Wow....you got accomplished in 1 week what it took all of us 15 months to accomplish.

Haha we did the same thing! We spontaneously booked the cruise one night and then the flight the next night! Still need the hotel in LA though.

We did, didn't we? Of course we are ending up paying alot more than your 1st day people. But that's the way it goes, we didn't have the money then and we do now! I'm just excited since this is a TOAL!!

We had other plans for our 2008 TOAL, but had to change those due to the stinky exchange rate with the Euro! So a couple days later we saw a room on this cruise and booked it immediately. Man my head was spinning for a couple of days!

I have been working on some door magnets the last couple of weeks. Someone on here (sorry don't remember who) posted one in DIS green (sorry, Captain) with the date and "DIS member on board". I would like to thank whoever it was because I stole it along with creating some of my own. Mostly in Word or Power Point. Only problem is I have about 25 of them and can't find cheap magnetic paper. My Dollar Store doesn't seem to carry it. And Wal Mart is like $8 for 5 sheets. The craft stores are even higher. Have to save that money for excursions and souvineirs (ok I can't spell).

Someone else suggested (sorry forgot who!) to use good card stock for printing and the use the sticky magnets on the back.

I think Kodak isn't the best place to share for something like this. At least it doesn't allow someone to save it for good quality printing. I think a better one is photobucket, at least I think that's what most people on here use...

Sorry...Disneyland is hot..Although they are only about 20-25 minutes apart..Disneyland is definitely inland and will be hot in August.

Hey all - seems Cabo and I have this hate/love relationship. We get here and our sea kayak excursion was cancelled. In fact all sea and water excursions were cancelled due to rough sea conditions.

Story of my life. They have just opened all tenders to the public and I guess I'll just have to go shopping then. Thought I had my fill of candy shopping yesterday but hey - God doesn't need to hit me over the head twice - guess I'll follow the clues and go candy shopping!

I agree with you though - it's much better to jump in and try to change things than it is to complain. This is how DH and I ended up sharing the Committee Chair job for our highly disfuntional Cub Scout pack next year.

My DH is the Committee Chair for our Cub Scout Pack...and the Pack Treasurer...and a den leader! I am the Advancement Chair. We are getting ready for Crossover next Tuesday so we've been really busy lately. DS will be a Webelos II scout next year. I'm not sure what the pack will do when we leave! I keep telling the leaders who will still be around that they'd better "take care" of the pack because we'll be back in about 5 or 6 years!

I'm pretty sure it would be them.... I know they had several of the Med & Repo cruises booked last year...... He made sure to post how he was paying for extended family to cruise with them on several of the Med & both Repos last summer.

One of the creepy things (ok, it made me feel bad for his *friends*) about him was he would post about paying for friends to travel with them.... He would post this info on the cruise meets threads. Would you want someone posting that they paid for your trip?

If it says 34" it means on one side and that it would really be 68" -- does that help you some?

That would mean he'd actually have to read outside of school , so no he hasn't.

I'm going to try to get him back into reading this summer. He read a lot of Star Wars books last year. So I know he enjoys it, it's just a matter of finding something that cathes his interest. I'll have to check this one out.

Speaking of reading, thanks to whoever posted about the Percy Jackson book series. We were able to check the first 3 books out for DS from the library and he finished them in a week! He just started on the 4th one today.

Now my children are linguistically challenged sometimes, sometimes to the point of wanting to strangle... such as "versus" - "Who are you versing today in your baseball game"......

Of course the latest is all the kids in the neighborhood asking "Can we play on the tramp?" Just thinking that when they are 14 or 16, this won't be as cute or have the same meaning.....

My DD7 goes through printer paper to the point that it is frustrating for us when we go to print something and there is NO PAPER! She hasn't gotten the idea yet to tell us when she uses the last few pages or it's getting low.

Uh, DD7 is the same way. I learned years ago i can't keep printer paper in the printer- I have to keep it locked up in a cabinet with other supplies and things I don't want her touching. LOL (so she'll use the paper I give her instead of my printing paper!)

My kids tried the versing thing briefly. I set them straight. Their favorite thing to say now is "What the. . ." I tell them they'd better duck the first time they finish that sentence.

I say "what the..." trying not to cuss around the kids (well atleast not MUCH, no one is perfect..) and I caught my son saying that the other day too! I was like sigh.... now I can't even say "what the" because if he says that at school he'll probably still get in trouble or some kid will say he finished the saying and cursed, etc.

Speaking of reading, thanks to whoever posted about the Percy Jackson book series. We were able to check the first 3 books out for DS from the library and he finished them in a week! He just started on the 4th one today.

We got the first one for our DD and she whipped right thru it..she bought the next two from money she had from her birthday. She has to wait on #4...hardback and to expensive..she wants them for her collection (the kid has like 200 books in her bedroom!) She is now on a series where the main character is Septimus Heap. The first book is called Magyk. It's has to do with wizards and magic and such...

She is enjoying those now.
