Or at least chocolate covered bacon...

A 34 chest width (the number in the table on the shirt page in the shopping cart for the 6XL) translates into a 68 inch chest (34 x 2). That is 68 inches around the torso. 34 inches wide if you lay the shirt on a table and measure across it. That's a pretty big shirt.

So if you usually need, say, a 44 inch chest, you'd look for the shirt with around a 22 inch width in the sizing table.

Does that help?

Okay that does help! the way it's worded on there says to do it x2- what it really should say is take you width and DIVIDE it by 2 and pick that size shirt. LOL
sorry for the confusion. I knew that couldn't be right though- atleast I knew I wasn't about to order a 6xl shirt. LOL
now I can do some measuring and start ordering! thanks!

Do your kids say they did something "on accident?" My daughter says that and it drives me nuts. I always say it was an accident. Oh well, off to dd's softball game at 6pm.

Also big news. Katie is now a member of the Wyandotte Academy Youth Choir Ensemble! She got the letter yesterday and is in seventh heaven!:cloud9: Only thing is in looking at last years schedule, they start practicing the last week of August!:scared1: I guess I have to write another letter to the director.
Same thing I had to do with ruby's band! Highschool band camp starts here August 4th! So she'll be able to go to the first week- but that's it. Hopefully it will work out okay for your daughter too!

Ok..I couldn't help myself..I wanted to read his report to see what the prob was....does he work for Disney? I am confused on how he got into the apartment etc..obviously someone he knows is a higher up...but I am confused on why he has an imagineering jacket etc...maybe I missed something and all I am reading is the trip report. Why did the table think your DH was a higher up at Disney?

Thanks!

HE told people that he heard Dh say that........
And most of the *horrible* stuff he posted was on a different TR (someone elses) and on our Cruise Meets Thread. But, the reason that a couple of the people were fighting with him on his TR was because of what he posted on other threads. And I am the person that he is talking about when he says things like *she had this is in her sig line...* *she* this and *she* that. He is talking about me and the people *arguing* with him know that he is talking about me and my family.

To be honest if you could read all of his posts after that cruise (the ones on the meets thread and all the ones he posted on other people's TR's) you would think he spent way too much of his vacation spying on me and my family!

I just got a call from my local bloodbank letting me know I am due to donate. I usually let the recorder pick them up but decided to answer to find out about exclusions.
I assumed because I had "cancer" that I would be excluded from donating. She was so nice and looked everything up for me. Turns out Basal Cell Carcinoma does not exclude me. :woohoo:
Since she was so nice I asked to look up all our ports: Cabo San Lucas, Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, Cartegena Colombia and Aruba. Contrary to what I was told earlier NONE of those destinations exclude me from donating.  I asked her to triple check as I know when I went to Aruba last I was excluded for a year but she said they change the criteria all the time.
Yay! I was feleling so bad to not being able to donate. I am one of those people who could not care less about needles so I feel like it is a moral obligation to have blood when others need it. When Megan needed multiple transfusions (too little to make her own blood) someone took their time to make it available for her.
Commercial for donating blood over. ;)

I know how you feel. I donate on a regular basis as well. After we went to Costa Maya I was so upset that I couldnt donate for a year. I told them I didnt go off the dock area... But alas, I am able to donate again. I even donated at Mass General when my dad was in surgery. They have their own blood bank there since they use so many pints a day during the normal course of surgeries.. So I guess after reading your post, I better get to the RED CROSS so I can donate again before we sail..

Ohhh....I was called to the Principal's office by DS's mirthless troll...err...teacher....for teaching DS to "borrow" and "carry" instead of "regrouping."
uh what? I don't get it...... I'm lost... not allowed to use the words borrow and carry?
I dare my kids school to call me to the principal's office for something like this. They'd regret it... :lmao:

Interesting.
But it was more neat when I thought he said it on his own- he has a cue card telling him to say it! sigh. :( :( I thought he really just loved WDW! :confused3 :rotfl:

*note to self, look around for stalker anytime you're with Steph*
LOL

My DS broke his elbow on a trampoline. :guilty:

My DS also broke his elbow on a trampoline (or maybe it was his arm, but it was right near the elbow). He messed it up so bad that he needed surgery to have it pinned. He was 4 years old, and the surgery was done on Mother's Day. :sad2: When he finally got his cast, it went from right under his shoulder all the way down to his hand. Needless to say, he spent most of that summer in tank tops!

Are other people really wearing white shirts on embarkation day? someone posted that the other day.. just curious if others are really doing this?
I ask because I'd REALLY prefer not to sweat to death in a black shirt- but also it would surely help us financially if I didn't have to buy TWO shirts for each of us.... we could just buy white and wear it on embarkation day and panama canal day?
LMK!

Kinda creepy....I would definitely call security if he is around and watching.

Aw, we had one of those summers and sounds so familiar- although not from a trampoline!
My DS was 5 when he fell off the monkey bars at the playground (wasn't supposed to be going across without me under him- but he went across a few times with me under him and then was supposed to be DONE, I turn to go over to the swings to push little almost 3yr old Rita at the time and soon as I turned my back he went across again, tired from having gone across it so many times already, and fell...)
He also broke it at the elbow and had to have pins put in and the full cast- and all our entire summer was ruined. NONE of us could do things like water parks (or even the above ground pool in the back- didn't even bother putting it up that summer), or six flags or anything- because if he couldn't... none of us could. (no babysitter/jeff working almost every day except some sundays)
that was such an UN-FUN summer let me tell you.....
(It happened right at the end of May- he has great timing too let me tell you..... NOT!)

I don't know about others...we bought black for embarkation day and white for PC day...we thought about it with the cost and all by DH said to go ahead and get them. I really don't think the black will be that bad. San Pedro isn't as hot as inland.

We order black for embarktion and white to wear during the pc crossing..

Just out of curiosity..why did he feel you DH worked for Disney?

He knew DH did NOT work for Disney. But, he said (on the boards) that DH was telling other passangers on the ship that he did...... The DISers knew that dh did not do this because quite a few of them had talked to him over the course of the 10 nts..... And I would say that at least half of the shirts dh wore had the logo of the company that he does work for on them! LOL!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

I know it is hard for to make since of what I write -- it is so much easier (I think) when I am actually speaking! :LOL!

:sad1: Enna, it's ALMOST OVER!!!!!

Okay thanks for the responses but I'm asking if anyone is wearing white on embarkation day- someone else said some people were- I'm asking if that is true.
I know most people are wearing black- so there is really on need to post if you're wearing black- I'm asking if anyone is wearing WHITE - I already know most people are wearing black. :lmao: Trying to make sure we wouldn't be the ONLY people in white.

My poor DD (taken a few minutes ago)

We are only buying the black. I don't know how much time we'll spend up on deck on PC day anyway so we're just sticking with the one t-shirt. Black is actually one of my favorite colors to wear. pirate:

oops edited to see that you only want to know if people are wearing WHITE. Guess I was going by your quote above that it would help financially if you didn't have to buy 2. I was agreeing.

My DS also broke his elbow on a trampoline (or maybe it was his arm, but it was right near the elbow). He messed it up so bad that he needed surgery to have it pinned. ooooh that must've been tough! My DS was 9 at the time he broke his elbow, but he didn't have to have it pinned. They did say that the break was right where a growth plate is & could've been a much more serious injury. DS broke his the same day they let out for Christmas break & he had to wear a splint for 3 days until he could get the cast on the day after Christmas. He wore a cast from right above his elbow to over his hand with only his four little fingers sticking out.

Hey Jo (ga9497) - and anyone else interested

I saw your post on the Who's Doing thread. Here's some notes I've found about Puerto Vallarta. I've spent some time there, so I've already done the city highlights so this is what I'm thinking for us. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else is interested.

There are quotes I took from cruise critic

"Normally, snorkelling off the beach is not very good in Puerto Vallarta. The best places for snorkelling are either at the Marieta Islands or at the South-beaches. However, at Mismaloya you can do something else as well. You can rent one of the tenders, which are there at the left side of the beach all the time, for one or two hours and ask them to take you to the Los Arcos Rock formations. These are at only 5-10 minutes distance from the the beach and snorkelling is quite good there. Take your own snorkelling equipment or look for a tender which has equipment for rent."

We caught the bus up there this past Nov and rented a panga and had a GREAT time, we were in Nuevo and took a taxi to Buderias at about 11 AM, walked around and grabbed a bus marked Punta de Mita, got there, walked around went to a beach front restaurant our friends knew OMG good!!

The Panga was 1250 pesos (including tip) and was a great deal for the five of us, the driver pointed out the first whale of the season and snorkelling just off Marietta islands were much better then I expected!!!

Blue feet bobbies all over (OMG so cute) we were out in the water for over an hour (at least ) and all felt that we had received an incredible deal on the panga!!!!

Lunch was back in PDM at the oceanfront restaurant and what a lunch!! Best margaritas I have ever had (on the rocks) and dh, ds and I shared a seafood platter for two (390 pesos) and WOW it was more then enough food and very good. We caught the bus back to Bucerias and were home at the Marival resort by 3:30 PM.

LOL
now I can do some measuring and start ordering! thanks!

As I recall, if you lay the shirt down and measure across it and then 2x then it would give you the measurement???

We will do the black altho whenever DH wears black, he looks like he has been in a snowstorm.

Wow..we are having a HUGE thunder storm right now...thunder that shakes the house and sounds like a gun going off. DH is stuck at work..DD is freaking out and I am trying to assure the furrkids everything is okay :rotfl:

We are expecting rain for the next 3 days!

It beats people having to say you're dead!

I would love to say I'm only 40! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm in my *mid* forties...which I will be unitl the day I turn 50! :rotfl2:

I was very excited when I turned 50! I had a tough time with 35.
