Exactly! Thank YOU!

Thanks! You are the best! (I can bring the rum...and CAKE!)

Chrissie

Just the rum will do! ;)

That's about what I said. Oh, and a Cleveland wedding with no polka! {gasp!} BTW 14 years later and we still hear from both our friends and our parents friends what a fun reception we had. :)

People still talk about our wedding 20 years later! They tell us they've never been to a more exciting one! :rolleyes1

Well, it was 1994 so I do have to admit to the Electric Slide.

OK pirate:s I'm off to nap.
See ya in chat!

Saw this while getting the convertible foto!

Thought is was funny!

Chrissie

It should be me & not Dolly! :sad2:

Off to a 3 people birthday dinner at Le Jardin D'Olive....

Good luck tonight!

Chrissie

Yummo! Haven't been there in a long while! Enjoy!

Totally off topic (IF there is a "topic" here :rotfl2: )

Here are some photos from our Plant Sale. This has totally eaten my life for the last week. About 3/4 of all the plants are staged at my house before the sale. We had a "pre-sale" for the club members on Thursday night and moved ALL the plants on Friday night to the sale tent and then spent ALL day Saturday at the sale. DH & I (with some help from my parents and a coupel other club members) sort/organize/label/price all the plants. We put up a couple pop-up greenhouses in our backyard which have had small plants for the last month or so. The bigger stuff starts coming about 2 weeks before and we SAY it all has to be here 1 week before the sale (but people still drop off some mid-week!)

The last two photos were taken around 9am - they give you an idea of how big the crowd is. Our sale has gained a reputation over the last 10 years and people are coming from quite a ways away.

Wow that is quite the spread! :worship:

Nationals is over with for Lisa and although she had a lot of fun, met many new friends, and received lots of "free" merchandise, she also got a lesson between being good and being great. Some of those girls were AMAZING! The girl that won the JR A Division was from Region 1 and trains at an Olympic Training Facility in California. (People who knew her said she is home schooled and trains at least 8 hours per day. Lisa's 4 hours per day seems "light" compared to that - but she is in public school and that is all of the time she has available to train)

It was interesting how until the individual awards were presented how little emphisis was put on the individual as oppossed to the Regional Team they represented. When they did the March In, they came in under the banner of their Region and were introduced simply as the Team representing the following states (There are eight Regions in the US). All of the Coachs were dressed in apparel designating their Region and the girls leos were identical from GK with only the sleeve color (Lisa's Region was a greenish blue and very pretty) designating which region they represented. Each Regional Group showed a lot of support for their teammates, even though I am sure most of these girls competed against each other many times through out the season.

It was also interested to see how many college coaches were at the event. They had all of the tables / desks in the front of the arena blocked off for them and you needed credentials to get into that area. Also the center section of the Arena was blocked off for the overflow of Recruiters. Lisa's Coach pointed out the Recruiter from Michigan (which is where Lisa wants to go).

During the warm up, the girls who are in High School wore their competition numbers as well as a colored sticker indicating their year of graduation. Lisa isn't in High School yet, so she didn't wear her number until the day she competed.

I know Lisa was inspired to work on new and more difficult skills for next year in the hopes she can fare better next year. We are very proud of how hard she has worked and how much she has been able to accomplish this year.

I bet you are proud! That is quite an accomplishment! :cool1:

My kids still love to go there....but we told them that it's only a place to take people from out-of-town. We might give in and go there on a birthday (no worse than Chuckee Cheese!). It probably hasn't changed a bit since you were there. Same cliff, same cheesy western show, same cliff diving show, and same man in a gorilla suit running around the place. The food on the other hand is horrible with one exception -- sopapillas!!

Yes, what ever happened to those $5 port fees. We paid in full in early March to save that $75 charge ($5 per port per person x 3 ports x 5 of us), but it sounds like no one got hit with it.

I don't know, but I just paid a week ago & there was no additional charge. :confused3

Where are you now? You wouldn't want to live down the street from Casa Bonita anymore! :scared1: You're right that it can hit 100 here and with the low humidity, you can just step in the shade and it's significantly cooler. Only downside is that swimming outside is usually freezing to me even in July...that's why I enjoy our trips to Florida and DCL!

It's in the upper 80's here today and we have the house open and it's quite cool inside as long as we can keep a breeze. The winter's aren't really that bad compared to where I'm from (Kansas City) as it's usually a lot sunnier and it rarely stays below freezing all day long. It will usually warm up to the upper 30's or low 40's and if not, it will the next day. When it's sunny and 40 in January, you don't even need a coat. Some of my wife's family even wear shorts throughout winter. It's not uncommon to see someone shoveling snow in their shorts. The dry climate can be tough on your skin when you're used to humidity, but it sure makes being outdoors nicer year round.

Tell me what you want and I will tell you mine.:rotfl2:

TellMeWhatYouWant.jpg

:lmao:

No not Chicago, I don't think I will ever get used to these critters.

I sure could get used to the weather though!
When you find her could you send her my way?:rotfl2:

I thought you could just refresh?:confused3

I guess some people were getting a message that they weren't paid in full until they logged out & back in again!

Darn it...Desiree....I just spent all that time looking up times and you beat me to it.

Just as well, it locked me out at the end...there was a message that said the site would be down for 24 hours for repairs. :confused3

I got the same message! That's such a bummer! :rolleyes1

Maybe Mario can help you out.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Not falling for it for one sec.:rolleyes1

All I ask in return is that you let me hold your little one for a couple of minutes. I promise I won't pinch his cheeks!:lovestruc

Well, he's not so little anymore...he'll be almost 22 months when we cruise, but if you can catch him, you can hold him! He's become quite independent lately...can't sit still and his new favorite word is "no"! He looks so little in my signature pics and his hair is so short. His hair is now longer and he has lots and lots of curls but only in the back!

Here is a more recent pic of him with our famous Texas bluebonnets.

Off to a 3 people birthday dinner at Le Jardin D'Olive....

YUM!! Le Jardin D'Olive is one of my favs and I'm been obsessing over it during my fast this weekend. Maybe I'll get there in a couple weeks.

I asked if they were having problems today and they said not really..so here's hoping!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

THey are both wonderful, and you can (in theory!) book one of each, but if you were going to do one on your actual anniversary, I would probably go for dinner. It's just more fancy, although the view at brunch is much better.

Hmmm... I had brunch at Palo on a day at sea and the only view I saw was water, lots and lots of water. ;)

We did this at dd's reception this past Oct. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Except when I was younger we called it the Hustle!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I do realize that you aren't old enough to have done the Hustle..... Or the Bus Stop.......... the Bump?

Haven't done any of those, but I was able to witness the Shopping Cart on my last cruise.

A giant storm just rolled into the burbs. Wonder how long before we lose power?

:wizard:
Seriously.I cant get into my ressie..it says someone else was on it and no one is!

ugh!

Really?:confused3 :surfweb:

Time for a joke!!!!:goodvibes

An English professor wrote the words:

'A woman without her man is nothing'

on the chalkboard and asked his students to punctuate it correctly.

All of the males in the class wrote:

'A woman, without her man, is nothing.'

All the females in the class wrote: 'A woman: without her, man is
nothing.'

:lmao: :lmao: Good one

I don't know that one!

We live in the DFW area. Bad neighborhood now?
The only thing even close there that we go to anymore is when we go eat at Dino's -- dh loves the homemade noodles!
DH's next favorite place...Wynkoop's! :rotfl2: We've been going there since they opened.

We thought the winter was rather mild. The downside was when I would take ds out to play in the snow and it ws so *dry* you couldn't make a good snowball! :rotfl:

Stace have you ever thought about the mini convertible?
22.jpg

Gosh, I realy do need to take the kids in for haircuts.

And when I'm old, I'll be one of those people in a Jaguar that's far too old to truly enjoy it. ;)

I wanna be Stace when I grow up.

My Jag will be a convertable. By then, I probably won't have any hair. Or teeth.

OK, maybe not.

:scared1: I am on hold with DCL..I am seriously locked out of my ressie...DCL has no idea..they cant pull it up either!

:scared1: :scared1:

You arent joing us for the crazyness?

I'm thinkin' she might be back from dinner before midnight.

What great experience & motivation to keep working.

What is your personal preference?

Brunch or the dinner? DH and I are celebrating our anniversary during the cruise.

Thanks.
Last minute

Dinner. Much more romantic.

Knowing Julie, she was probably talking about the waiters :rotfl:

I'll be ready for a chat later . . .

Good evening everyone and good luck-hope everyone gets everything they want booked. I will have 2 computers going as I have to book for myself and for a client that is away and won't have access to the booking site.

:goodvibes :goodvibes
