Glad you are OK. You are one of the 1st I thought about when I saw the tornado yesterday.

Thanks:goodvibes
It was pretty weird watching all the reports on the tv and realizing all that damage was in Virginia. We don't get that many tornados.
I'm drawing a blank on her name right now, but I do know there is one of our TOAL crew that is in southern Virginia. Hopefully she and her family are fine.

My DW just had to take off to my MIL's house to be with her while a serviceman visits tonight.

Her wiring went berzerk tonight....nothing works or when she flips on a switch something happens somewhere else in the house. For example, she turned a burner on her stove on and a light came on the living room. Her Microwave doesn't work nor does her washer and dryer. She called the KB Homes emergency number and was told that it sounds like a ground wire got cut. I had never heard of such a thing, but it would be making me very nervous.

It's a fairly new home -- finished construction 2 1/2 years ago.

That would scare the daylights out of me! I hope it is fixed soon!

Quest is only a home base, its not where they stay the entire trip. The kids go to the sports deck, AP for drawing, the movie theater, etc.

No Quest is pretty much it except when they did a scavenger hunt one night..
I'd be praying that they added activities if i were your kids...

Have you guys gone to Dulles air and space museum yet ? I keep trying to get into the observation tower to watch the planes, but the line is always too long:guilty:

DH drug me there the year it opened... The observation tower was ok but not too many planes go in/out when it is open.

I trust that Disney will really create a new age appropriate schedule for OQ with visits to the lab, Stack, sports deck, movie theater, etc.....

Just like we "trust" them to resolve the website issues...:lmao: :lmao:

maseifert or something like that i think.... or was it someone else?

This is my favorite pancake with lemons and powder sugar!!!

Cheryl, that looks wonderful:goodvibes

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday tomorrow!

We got a call this evening from a friend of my DD who asked if we wanted to join them at DCA tomorrow so we agreed. Don't post to much..I can't ketchup that fast!

That's C6 or something, right:headache: Same fingers I had problems with too. Consider steroid treatment if it doesn't get significantly better.

Laurie it is either C5 or C6, pain is under my shoulder blade (scapula) right. I feel sorry for anyone that has to go through this. I have taken to Motrin around the clock instead of as needed (prn). I think this is helping. :cool1: I really don't want to do a course of prednisone.

I'm not sure those are chads.

Chad - he's the new CD we'll be breaking in, right? They call him Hanging Chad, 'cause he hangs around with the pax a lot?

Okay, men, be honest.

If you were around in 1919 (just before prohibition started) and came upon the following poster.........

Would you quit drinking?

Looks like a bunch of 1919 Drag Queens to me.

You mean those aren't men??

Well, DARN! You beat me to it! :rotfl2:

We were in line right behind Debi....

:yay: :dance3: :yay: Put us on the PIF list! :yay: :dance3: :yay:

Hey Todd...

... hoz it goin' Capt'n? Just thought I'd mention I'm speakin' fer the 30 or so in my group. SO perhaps I'l get a representative (maybe) from most of our cabins to join in with this - as this sounds like it would be so much fun! I just started scanning the list posted on the pirate zone thread. Way cool!

Question about booking excursions - Do you have to do the online check in before booking excursions?

Thanks for any info!

Penny

No, you don't. You can go back and do the online check-in later.

I thought Ian and Pikey were the same person. :confused3

Nope. They do look a lot alike though.

Pike with my husband on the '05 Mexican Riviera cruise:

And Ian with Escaping Mom Frances on the 11 Night:

Both are full of energy, but Ian's the one who was ALWAYS WET. Fully clothed and in the pool or in the ocean. In fact, you can't tell it, but he was soaking wet in this picture. And we were right in front of the Walt Disney Theater with Ducky Williams.

It's not a stupid question at all.

It means "Travellers owe a lot". It's based on one of the highlights of the cruise - the final evening standing in line at guest services when you are handed a 20 pound stack of paper and get to express one of the traditional expressions:"
"Wow, I had that many chocolate smoothies?"
"[DS]!!!, You spent $500 on video games!?!?!?"
"If only there was another day of Bingo..."

Some anthopologists suggest it means "Trip of a lifetime", a variation based on the fact that it generally takes a lifetime to pay off the credit card debt incurred during the cruise.

On another point ...

I just ordered a custom made Bobble head doll of Alicia for chuckles...

... it won't get here in time for Mothers' Day ... so I was thinking of giving it to her on our TOAL...

... or I will save it to give her for ... gee ... I don't know know what?

Valentines' Day? ... or Christmas? Well... I'll figure something out...

... our anniversery will be celebrated on the TOAL... so maybe it will be given on the TOAL!?

She's sooo tough to buy for - this is definately something she doesn't have (yet)...

http://www.whoopassenterprises.com/step1.php?productTypeId=1&categoryId=5

I ordered it with a special recordable 10 second VOICE chip (cost $15 extra)

All said it came to $83.45 after adjustment for $5 email referral discount and inclusive of $13.50 handling fee.

Am I a little unstable or what?

1) What do you look forward to doing on our first day at SEA?
Hmmm... I guess I will have sussed out the buffet the day before so it'll be a full on attack of the dessert buffet at lunch time :rotfl:

2) What have you signed up for (or are considering) among the various DIS diversions offerred here? IE, have you considered the Secret Mickey or Mickey Ice Cream Eating race?

Fish Extender gift giving - I sure don't want to cart this pile of gifts home again! :rotfl2:

3) Have you picked up your air fare yet? If so - when are ya coming into town? Heck yes, did that months ago. Couldn't afford to miss getting the dates we wanted - there is usually only one or sometimes two flights a day from Auckland to LA. We arrive on the Friday before we sail.

4) Doing anything special or out of the ordinary for this sailing (anniversery - or ??? being marked)
Nope

5) What movies have you seen lately (or last) in the theater?
Enchanted and I loved it!

6) What was the last song played on your MP3 player?... orthat you recall listening to last?
Probably the Putamayo French Carribean CD

7) What would you propose for the 7th question here?
I skipped a bunch of pages so haven't seen any answers so my question will be - if you could design the perfect dessert for the Disney buffet - what would it be? (see my answer for question 1)
