Hey Liz...
Currently 47 going up to 77 here in D.C.
Congrats to your DD on Major...heehee, I know exactly what her pay check will be (same as DH). I can't wait to see wedding pics. I have a nice view of National Cathedral from my office.
So yesterday morning I had this novelesque multiquote post and I was just about to hit 'send' when my computer was unplugged in the epic give-me-my-shoe battle between DH and dog.
good evening everyone! crazy day here today...found out that dd has chicken pox!! she had the vaccination for it a few years ago...so thankfully, it is a mild case. the doc said i shouldn't watch kids for today or tomorrow though...oh bummer!! not!!! i have 2 babies that i watch that are too little to have had the vaccine yet, so it's not good for them to be here...and now i've got the rest of the week free! my kids are on spring break this week, and dd actually feels great...not itchy or anything, so we basically have the rest of the week free!
hope everyone else is having a great over the hump day!
Um, well then congratulations on the chicken pox?
Your DD might be bummed though. I had CP over Thanksgiving - in 7th grade - I was bummed that I only missed 2 days of school. I was also sicker than a dog. My stinky little brother who gave them to me missed 9 days and felt fine!
That is so cool! I really wish we had gotten a brick at WDW before they did away with them because the "Leave a Legacy" at Epcot was bombing. Hopefully they will someday bring them back.
Leave a Tomb.
I can't walk into EPCOT without thinking 'they really did ruin this place'.
Actually...with a good wait staff.... Just tell em the first night and they will have them every night....
Last two trips my waiters got to know my odd quirks such as having a kids menu and bringing my own can of soda...
Do they charge a corking fee for soda?
My server last time knew to bring the big ol' pepper mill with each course. I'm a pepper snob.
Adam is going to be taking his ASVAB test again in 30 days to see if he gets a better score. He also scheduled his own dr. appointment for next Thursday to see about his asthma. They told him he couldn't use an inhaler, but could get allergy shots. He is disappointed about this because his asthma isn't only allergy related. I halfway feel sorry for him--a little more than half way. It just isn't what I saw him doing, but he is very serious about it.
I'm certainly not an expert, so don't take this as someone who really knows, but I thought asthma was a no-go for military.
I thought DS7 might have cold weather induced asthma. DH went to the Dr. appointment with me and we had to talk about it without using the 'A' word. Wink-wink doc, if he really has it, fine, but don't write asthma in his medical record unless it is really his diagnosis. DH was worried that "Parents suspect asthma" or "mild asthma" that isn't worth treating would stop DS from joining if he wants to when he's older.
But like I said, don't take my word. DH can just be crazy sometimes.
Lorri, I have found that some of the servers are just better than others. Our last cruise was the worse we ever had--they were very nice, but didn't have it all together.

I am good about giving the servers in the Cove Cafe and pool area a good tip at the beginning--they always remember.
Our server on our first cruise wasn't very good. Not 'Dis induced unreasonable expectation' not good, he wasn't good by any sort of fine dining standard. Assistant was awesome that cruise & both were great on our last cruise. Cute little Russian assistant had a crush on DH.
Sorry I haven't been by, and this is only a drive by... We decided to start looking for a new house - and it's sucking up most of my spare time.
Because you don't have enough going on this summer??
