happy friday everyone!! i'm soooo ready for the weekend! i just now got the baby i watch down for his afternoon nap, and in about 10 mins my older kids will be coming home from school....so i'm sure the baby will be up in a matter of mins. ugh!!

Thanks for the advice and the links to the planning boards. There's some good information on there. I think we'll probably try Goofy's Kitchen and the character breakfast at Storyteller's Cafe. Other than that, I think we'll just wing it. Those character meals add up quickly! Oldest DS turned 10 a couple weeks ago, and I'm having a hard time adjusting to the fact that he's now an adult (at least in Disney's eyes!) :scared1:

Kim

i have a hard time adjusting to the fact that the 10 yr olds are adults too. ugh!!!

hope everyone has a great weekend. i'm hoping to make it to chat tonite, but who knows...we'll see....
bye for now!

We had an interesting night.
There was a huge hail storm at 3:21 this morning. Very intense, emergency sirens etc. I turned on the TV and the normal morning newscasters were on. They sure had a long night too.
Everything looks fine this morning. Spring in North Texas is always interesting.
BTW, those surprised we get under the stairs in bad weather- there are no basements in Texas. Something about the water table etc. So.... here you just get in the lowest internal room and hope for the best.

No basements here either Coral.

Any idea if the one in Puerto Vallarta does too?

No clue, but I'll see if I can find out this weekend. My SIL's parents have a timeshare and I think they just recently returned from Puerto Vallarta. They are the ones that told us about Acapulco ;) If anyone will know, THEY will know :thumbsup2

I think we'll be going with the DCL excursion for this one too.

Us too - subject to flishes! DD is desperate to see the cliff divers more than anything else & as we're there early I think the only guaranteed way to see them will be to give DCL the $$$

That would be great if you can find out. The Sam's Club and Walmart are right by port in PV and we have lots of time there.

Found this on TripAdvisor from January.

When we were in NV in August, we went directly to the Walmart - it was HUGE!! They had a fairly good selection of wine and other alcohols

For those who just can't get enough of U.S.- style shopping, there are both a WalMart and a Sam's Club directly across the main boulevard from the ship docking areas, about a 10-minute walk away. Tequilas and Kahlua are definitely better priced here than in the duty-free liquor stores in town or near the ships.

I've used the cheapo Target version (post 9-11). They do squish the stuff down so you can get more in a suitcase. The problem is that it doesn't magically make the stuff any lighter now that airlines are so persnickety about the 50 lb. rule.

Are the clothes all wrinkled from all the squishing???:confused3 :confused3 I have been considering to buy some for the TOAL!!

You mean it's not a bikini, WOW. Cheryl make a appointment with the eye doctor for me:3dglasses

You think I am crazy:crazy2: ???? Like I want you to see all the women in Bikinis.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Good morning everyone - Happy Friday!

I'm all alone in the office this morning (DS is on spring break so my folks took him to a hotel with an indoor waterpark. They left yesterday afternoon and will be back sometime this afternoon. My assistant only works Tues-Thurs, so I'm all by myself) It is 39 degrees and overcast. Supposedly, it is going to make it into the 60's tomorrow and be sunny - but I'm trying not to get my hopes up - I think spring may just be a myth!

Yes life is depressing living in Chicago area. We only have one season..cold or colder..:rolleyes1

Never really have had a desire for a tattoo. If I did, it would be a small mickey icon near my ankle.

My DD has an icon of Mickey on her ankle. She might have been allergic to all the black ink becuase it stayed red for weeks!!

I have no adornments other than 1 single piercing in both ears on my entire body.
I bet my life savings it will stay that way until my death. :rotfl2:
I do like my jewelry so I guess that will be my adornment. :)

I am too chicken to even get my ears pierced!!:scared:

Sorry you're having such a hard time. I have to admit that these ST stories are starting to scare me, and I will have four of them someday (although not at the same time, thank goodness!) :scared1:

The fortunate thing is "if you let ST... grow up" they turn out to be great people!!;)

That would be great if you can find out. The Sam's Club and Walmart are right by port in PV and we have lots of time there.

That was going to be my question.:flower3:

Thanks Roger for the answer!!:worship:

You keep saying that, but I'm not entirely sure I believe you. Although my SPT -- geez he's not even an ST yet -- is giving me quite a run for my money.

Ya know. I shopped at that Walmart in PV. But I didn't even notice if they had liquor. I was too busy trying to find some replacement clothes since the airline lost our luggage. Well, it wasn't lost, it was sitting in Houston.

But I do know this is a Super Walmart. In addition to some clothes we got groceries for the week.

Oh, Nim's looks cute. I can't wait to hear your review.

Wow, me, the last minute trip planner, actually booked something for TOAL today. Got our hotel for DL all reserved. Found a Costco rate for BW Park Place Inn. We have never stayed there because usually the only discount is for AAA which we don't have.

Of course I'll be checking rates every week or so and might change our hotel if I find something I like better. My beloved Carousel Inn has gone up so high in price and now they charge $15 per night for a tiny parking space, I doubt we'll stay there anymore. Ho Jo is a very decent hotel, but I'd rather save the few hundred feet of walking at the end of the night and stay closer to the entrance. And get free breakfast also.

Great idea -- just think of how comfortable you will be on the plane not to mention getting off the plane and under the California sun . . .:rotfl: and what if they decide to pat you down in security?????:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

hhhmmmm, that'll be some pat down. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

If you have anything you need to apologize for, check out this site:

http://www.bureauofcommunication.com/compose/apology

You can fill it in and they will email your "apology" to the person who needs to receive it . . .

I like the "evil twin" excuse best . . .
Must be JR's site?
That's exactly what I was thinking!:lmao:

Our oldest turned 10 on the 2nd day of our last WDW trip, and we were on the Dining Plan, so we got to pay for him as a child for the whole trip. I'm dreading paying adult prices for tickets and meals from now on. At least he's starting to eat a little bit more like an adult.

Emily Latilla ?

:lmao: SNL when it was funny!

I ordered the light blue one for one of the formal nights. Ya know I really don't appreciate being made fun of like that!

humming "I feel pretty" from West Side Story, while you're getting dressed for dinner...
