:lmao: :lmao: Just let us run the ship!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I can tell you we know of all the mistakes DCL makes!!!!

If we could only have lots of really big surprises!!!:cloud9: :cloud9:

my ta emailed me today, and told me that she rec'd our packets and will be forwarding them to us....i'm wondering why our went to her and not to us directly like everyone elses?

Now I know only a few people read my posts.... ;) I have said (at least) 4 times that this is how our packets were mailed. To my TA.

I started my list a while ago. Stuff like pirate costume accesssories, glow sticks, my bargain sunscreen, etc., is already collecting in a plastic bin in our dressing room.

GMTA! I have a bin that I started last summer -- when I started buying FE gifts. And I have all of our Pirate costumes in a couple of tubs on the top shelf in my closet. I still need to get a few pieces made to add -- I want to change up our costumes from the last time we wore them!

My DD14 posts and loves reading, but I do think it would be better to have a thread on the DIS or Pirate Zone for different age groups...like how about matching the age groups to those that match the ship's kids clubs?

The last time 17dd connected with a group of teens for one of our cruises (the 10nt) they all just emailed back and forth and then also talked over the computer --- my mind has totally blanked o what that is called. I remember walking into the den one afternoon and hearling a male voice with an accent (David's son Alex) in the room! LOL! I didn't realize dd was even on her laptop! LOL!

Anyone know much about Club Libby Lui and/or Princess fayre? DD wants a make over so am looking for imput on this as I know there are a few of you westcoasters with DD about the same age as Lauren & I doubt the speed that they grown up is much different:scared1:

Celestine

6dd LOVES Libby Lu!! We don't have the other place here (Texas). What little girl doesn't love hair styles, make up and sparkles?? ;)

It became painful in the last day or so after a long cold for 3 weeks, then fluid came out. She is now on ear drops, the main rule is No swimming, no pool, no getting it wet, everything else is ok, Plane travel, listen to music,.

Heal cross fingers on this medication it could occur within three weeks, but also could take a year, or not at all.

We will keep her in our prayers --- scarring on my ear drum is the reason why I get motion sick easily. Mine burst when I was about 12.

Sorry I haven't been by, and this is only a drive by... We decided to start looking for a new house - and it's sucking up most of my spare time.

We are still a "go" to start t-**** pre-orders on the 28th though.

I'll pop back in when I have more than 30 minutes to string together.

Good luck on your house hunt:goodvibes

I'm certainly not an expert, so don't take this as someone who really knows, but I thought asthma was a no-go for military.

I thought DS7 might have cold weather induced asthma. DH went to the Dr. appointment with me and we had to talk about it without using the 'A' word. Wink-wink doc, if he really has it, fine, but don't write asthma in his medical record unless it is really his diagnosis. DH was worried that "Parents suspect asthma" or "mild asthma" that isn't worth treating would stop DS from joining if he wants to when he's older.

But like I said, don't take my word. DH can just be crazy sometimes.

M, I think you are right, that's what Adam was told. He said they told him it would be fine to get allergy shots, but no inhalers. He is just determined to try.

I have not been able to get anyone to approve my DS for posting. I've emailed 4 different addresses and nothing. I may just create a new profile and fudge the age. I hate to do that, but I really have tried going about this the right way. Only thing is, he'll have to come up with a different user name now. He'll be upset over that.

Why don't you send Lisa a pm and ask her to help you.:) He would be bummed to have to think up a new name.

From the main board. Information on how DCL will handle the new baggage fees and they new onboard check in.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1794847

Seems too much of a hassle to me. Kind of defeats the purpose of onboard check in. But I guess DCL has no way to collect the fee.

Sounds like an adventure:)

I guess you will be safe as you aren't using a UK broker. Found a great deal for 2 day DL hoppers with a $10 ESEPN zone card for £63 adult ($125) & £53 ($105) child. Ordered them in February. Chased twice & they finally arrived last week minus the game cards. Called, told would send. Emailed yesterday as still not received, reply said that offer ended in 2005!!!! Several e-mails & a phone call to the operations manager later & I am no better off (although ticket prices have now risen). I have my doubts as last week their site said DL was closed, but can't prove anything & as their head office is in Jersey I have no idea about legalities. Also when the tickets did finally come, they were from Keith Prowse (a company that is usually well over priced) Annoyingly at the time, other brokers also offered this, but a couple£ more. I will not use www.365tickets.com ever again!!!!

Sorry you didn't get what you should have gotten.:sad2:

We went to the Celebration all you can eat pie event two years ago. The kids LOVED it and ate LOTS of pie. Lisa's Gymnastic Regionals were on this weekend the past two years. We head to Huntsville AL on Saturday for her meet Sunday morning. This meet determines which Level 10 girls can advance on to Nationals in May. Please say prayers and pixie dust for her on Sunday at 8am that she competes at the level she is capable of.

:cheer2: :cheer2: Good Luck Lisa!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

I got in the Army with mine. Had a tough time through basic, but once I got to my permanent duty station I didn't have any more trouble. I had one pretty good attack and had a Sargeant accuse me of lying to get in. But I made a point of telling the recruiter about it and also when I had my entrance physical done...it was in my records. And at that time I wasn't dependent on inhalers, like I am now.

Debi, I honestly hope that it excludes Adam. He has only been hospitalized once with a severe attack, but he uses a preventive inhaler (Advair) and an albuterol inhaler on an as needed basis. He has been trying to lose some weight and has taken up running and he has been having quite a bit of trouble wheezing. I guess I am just one of those "clingy" moms--he is my only child and I don't want him half way around the world. But I won't try to stand in his way, I do want him to be happy.

M it is now referred to as Reactive Airway Disease, which is becoming wide spread amongst children. Not Asthma but acts the same way under the right conditions. DD13 has it.

Nothing wrong with being one of those "clingy" moms.:goodvibes We all know children have to leave the nest but we don'n have to like it!!!

Feel free to send them one of yours!

So here is something…
I just got off the phone and I’m going to be published.

OK, in a book only media nerds and coerced undergrads are likely to read, but I’m going to be published! In grad school, I wrote and independent study (our term: co-dependent study) paper with a classmate about patriotism and consumerism post 9/11. Nifty things like flag-waving ads by companies that were off-shoring jobs, etc. ANYWAY, it was just accepted as a chapter in an anthology about pop culture and 9/11. YAY!

Welcome to the world of obscure publication! You can find me on such topics as Public Health Law for Terrorist Events and what the National Response Framework means to local attorneys. If anyone other than me has actually read those....

Here is today's response to my request on special dining nights.

Yes Angela this information is very useful :confused3 I have no idea when to make my Palo plans. Anyway, I guess that I will email her on a daily basis.

I wonder if there was a way we could email the people responsible for making the schedule up and not getting it the rest of the world?

I don't blame you for not wanting him to go half way around the world. But it is better that he try and that he do it on his own without you trying to stop him, this way he won't wonder 10 years from now about "what could of been".
