I love it! Of course we are all way more obsessed with this cruise than they are.

M it is now referred to as Reactive Airway Disease, which is becoming wide spread amongst children. Not Asthma but acts the same way under the right conditions. DD13 has it.

I couldn't remember the name. This is big for us - DS7 made it through the winter without a chest x-ray! Docs usually hear him cough and check for pneumonia. Turns out the annoying hacking cough my mom had all her life was the same thing. She was diagnosed at 48!

M, I think you are right, that's what Adam was told. He said they told him it would be fine to get allergy shots, but no inhalers. He is just determined to try.

Why don't we setup something up on the "Pirate Zone" boards. Isn't it better that way. Couple of PRO's - the kids only have an id for our group board only - not the DIS, we could have separate age groups - would make it easier for the younger ones, plus we won't have to worry so much about what the older teens are talking about. Thoughts????

I had the funniest experience today.
I had to go to the office and I ran into a very good friend whom I used to work with very closely. He said to me "I was talking about you last night". He said "Did you know that there was a 15 day Disney cruise that goes through the Panama Canal? A good friend of mine is going to be on the cruise" I said "Not only do I know about it- I am on it!" He rolled his eyes and said "I should have known you would be on that cruise.
Turns out his friend is on the West bound. I asked him to find out if he was on the DIS.
Now my reputation as the office Disney nut is firmly intact.

I don't blame you for not wanting him to go half way around the world. But it is better that he try and that he do it on his own without you trying to stop him, this way he won't wonder 10 years from now about "what could of been".

I just got off the phone and I’m going to be published.

OK, in a book only media nerds and coerced undergrads are likely to read, but I’m going to be published! In grad school, I wrote and independent study (our term: co-dependent study) paper with a classmate about patriotism and consumerism post 9/11. Nifty things like flag-waving ads by companies that were off-shoring jobs, etc. ANYWAY, it was just accepted as a chapter in an anthology about pop culture and 9/11. YAY!

We will keep her in our prayers --- scarring on my ear drum is the reason why I get motion sick easily. Mine burst when I was about 12.

Debi, I honestly hope that it excludes Adam. He has only been hospitalized once with a severe attack, but he uses a preventive inhaler (Advair) and an albuterol inhaler on an as needed basis. He has been trying to lose some weight and has taken up running and he has been having quite a bit of trouble wheezing. I guess I am just one of those "clingy" moms--he is my only child and I don't want him half way around the world. But I won't try to stand in his way, I do want him to be happy.

He said so you're going to start in LA, visit Disneyland and cruise for 15 nights and end up in Florida. He asked if I was going to DisneyWorld. You cannot have food or liquid in the box that you ship. DCL also says no liquid in your checked bag. So you can still bring on alcohol, but you have to carry it on. Might have to enlists the kid's backpacks to carry on enough for TOAL.

so i can't have the winery ship a case to the ship?? HMMMM. Since I am not bringing my kids and it is only DH and I, can i borrow a large number of kids to carry my wine???

My Dsis has never had asthma but during boot camp in San Antonio she developed exercise induced asthma. (similar to wheezing you describe.)

We went to the Celebration all you can eat pie event two years ago. The kids LOVED it and ate LOTS of pie. Lisa's Gymnastic Regionals were on this weekend the past two years. We head to Huntsville AL on Saturday for her meet Sunday morning. This meet determines which Level 10 girls can advance on to Nationals in May. Please say prayers and pixie dust for her on Sunday at 8am that she competes at the level she is capable of.

What a thrill.

It became painful in the last day or so after a long cold for 3 weeks, then fluid came out. She is now on ear drops, the main rule is No swimming, no pool, no getting it wet, everything else is ok, Plane travel, listen to music,.

Heal cross fingers on this medication it could occur within three weeks, but also could take a year, or not at all.

I remember as a kid the terrible ear aches I had.And the warm drops they would put in all the time. It was finalized with having my tonsils out at that time. Seems they were causing me to lose my hearing. I hope DDs meds do the trick.

Thanks. I fixed it. Looks like I transposed the 5 and 7. The 4 day price is $175.
