Okay, deal. This sounds much better than the meth lab we were considering.
Thanks Lisa I'll keep that in mind when I go back to see the doctor. Might be worth a try!
Wiki on peeps:
okay everyone..........just got off the phone with the wonderful orthopedic - its definitely NOT gout. Basically dismissed me and told me to try and walk on my foot even if it is painful, I have a boot on and will protect my foot - ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Never once did he mention that I should be resting, or elevating it. ITS SWOLLEN and RED - HELLO! I am not a doctor and know these things. The cortisone is taking some of the pain away but not enough. At any rate, I have an appt tomorrow with another doctor, I had all my info faxed to him and he is willing to see me on a saturday which tells me he must be a caring individual. Thanks for all your prayers and hugs, they are appreciated.
Have you ever tried a grapple? I went to buy one at the grocery store to see what it tasted like. Figured it was a grape/apple combo. Thank goodness I read the label because it was actually an artificially grape "flavored" juice infused apple.![]()
My kids love them![]()

Coenzyme Q-10 is more than just for joints. There are substantial claims connecting it to improved health in general (heart, cancer, weight control). Our bodies stop making it once we hit middle age, so we need to supplement. Trying to get my DH to start taking it but he's resistingDiane, I take cholesterol meds & they really bother my joints. Unfortunately, I have insane cholesterol, 398, so I have been trying to stay on the cholesterol meds.
A few months ago, a doctor told me to try co-enzyme Q-10 for the joint pain from the cholesterol meds. Some studies have shown people on statins have 40% less of this co-enzyme. I started taking 200 mg daily. Within 3 days I was pain free. I stopped taking the co-enzyme Q-10 to see if the pain would return. Sure enough it did. Now I take 200 mg daily, I've been pain free since.
Love da peeps!
