Mini Meet at Star Wars at Franklin Institute, Philly :darth:

A while back we talked about a mini meet at this exhibit.
I just looked on line for tickets for Saturday, April 12th. There were lots of tickets for all am & pm time slots.
Ticket prices are 20.50 adults, 15.50 age 4-11, 16.50 seniors.

April 12th works for me, so does April 26th. We stand a better chance of good weather in April.

For all who are still interested, lets pick a date & time.

may the force be with you.

Either of those dates work for us. Just let us know what the final decision is so Linda can request off. She's a huge Star Wars fan and so is DS10, so we're really looking forward to it. Can't wait to meet other cruisers too!

Family movie night. We're watching Snow Buddies and sobbing silently to ourselves.

After your 20-minute shopping spree, embark on a 15-minute drive to the famed walled city and marvel at the plethora of colonial buildings and age-old fornications around every corner. Make your way to the modern residential area known as Bocagrande, home to vast array of hotels, shops, eateries, night clubs and art galleries, and snap a picture of the long stretch of sun-kissed sand and breathtaking blue water in the distance. Finally, travel to the Pierino Gallo Shopping Center, and soak up the local flavor as you indulge in a bit of shopping amidst some of the finest gold, emerald and handcraft retailers in the city. After your hour-long visit, sit back and relax as you begin your 30-minute return trip back the ship.
****************************************************

OMGoodness....they are around EVERY CORNER! I thought this was a family cruise!! :rotfl2:

FINALLY! A use for that stripper pole and those clear heels I'm packing!

Now it's my turn!! I ain't never got no pirate: I ain't never got no pirate: .....:lmao:

I have 2 pirate:s...both in the first 5. My average just keep going down.

Hey Crew -
I'll miss chat tonight. DS6 learned how to ride his bike today, and is currently out with his big brother on his first around the neighborhood bike ride. :woohoo: :woohoo:

OK, they've been gone for 30 minutes, and DH just went out to patrol the neighborhood. They might have got stuck some place. DS6 isn't very good at getting started yet.

In any case, we'll be celebrating this life altering achievement at John's Incredible Pizza Company tonight.
.

YAY Issac!!!

Just wait until he is standing on the pegs, no hands, downhill, around a curve...
DS9 hasn't crashed yet, but when he does, it will be spectacular!

Hmmm, 3 hours to Philly. I might be able to make an afternoon. :chewy:

Don't plan around me, but the boys and I might come up if it is the 12th. Their first communion is the 26th in Cleveland.

He must be thrilled that you are celebrating. I remember my DS6 learning to ride before my DD7. My DD was soooo upset, but she was terrified to try. It was the middle of the summer and I had her put on her snow suit and gloves. That did the trick and she never needed them again after that.

Kids choice awards was a close second for me. I would love to be able to score tickets & take my kids.

Last weekend, we went to see a friends gd play basketball. We ended up going to Mc Donalds so I drove the kids. We got in the car and Radio Disney was on. There were playing "What Time Is It" from HSM2 and I started singing. My friends gd said to me in a really suprised tone, "You know the words?" My dd just smiled. I think at that moment I got the "Cool Mom" thumbs up from dd!

I can make the 26th, anytime:thumbsup2

Yeah! For your son. I remember that summer, dd was having a fit!

Then I got the idea to call back and ask to be put on a waitlist. Since she wasn't sure if there was such a thing, I got put on a waitlist to be called back to see if I could be put on a waitlist.

Then I waited.

And waited.

Linda and I went to lunch a few days later. Linda mentioned how nice it would have been to renew our vows on the ship or on Castaway Cay. That's when it clicked that I only asked about onboard renewals, and not Castaway Cay. So when we got home, I made Linda call to ask. (I figured they were sick of me calling by this point)

WONDERFUL!! CONGRATS!!

Long story short, Jay and I were waitlisted for a vow renewal on the 10 Night Christmas cruise and "accidentally" got skipped over on the list.
So we decided to do ours in Key West, at the Southernmost Point.
I contacted a wedding planner in Key West, and we had the most beautiful "wedding" on the beach there....perfect ceremony, reception, everything we didn't have the first time around. (married before a judge).

You will be soooo glad you did this!!

If you hadn't gotten Castaway Cay, I was going to suggest contacting someone in one of the ports.
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Here's one shot of us at the beach after the wedding

I wanted to include some magazines but what do you get a whole company of guys? I don't know if sending a smutty mag would constitute doing them a favor or what. Any suggestions?

THey can't recieve magazines like that. It is actually against the laws over there. (ie muslim country) so they can get in real trouble if they are found with them.

(My dbil was over in Afghanistan for 6 months and i thought of sending something but then i got the above speach.....)

I love sick & twisted.

You rang......

(no seriously, i had to make diecut cards for my graphic design studio and what entered my mind?..... I had tire track patterns printed on the inside of card and the cutouts were in the shape of a cat. THe pattern looked like calico cat from the front of the card but then when you opened them they were "Sorry your cat hit the road" cards... My professeur's words i believe were, "That's sick....I like it."

Surprisingly, the vow renewal on Castaway Cay was still open!!!!!

I thought they didn't do VR on CC. or at least they didn't before... I'm jealous...by the end of this trip we couldn't even afford a vowel.

ok who can get a minister license by internet and marry some of us strapped pirate: 's?

April 12th works for me, so does April 26th. We stand a better chance of good weather in April.

I could only do 12th perhaps.... 26th is a dog club event and we're the hosts. Does the $20.50 include museum admission too?

I loved snow buddies
