Mini Meet at Star Wars at Franklin Institute, Philly :darth:

A while back we talked about a mini meet at this exhibit.
I just looked on line for tickets for Saturday, April 12th. There were lots of tickets for all am & pm time slots.
Ticket prices are 20.50 adults, 15.50 age 4-11, 16.50 seniors.

April 12th works for me, so does April 26th. We stand a better chance of good weather in April.

For all who are still interested, lets pick a date & time.

may the force be with you.

Oh I would love to go and bring Geoff.. we could do some college shopping but alas it is the ACT..so he is busy

It would have been even funnier if I hadn't said something to warn him. He's already thinking of some sarcastic replies:rolleyes:

Gotta see Jumper tomorrow:goodvibes I really liked "I am Legend". I'm also partial to the fantasy/sci fi flicks:thumbsup2
[/COLOR]

Laurie, it doesn't matter how many sarcastic replies Darren is thinking of now . . . he's going to be HOPELESSLY outnumbered!:rotfl:

I really liked I am Legend, too -- saw it twice -- Will Smith totally carried that movie.

He must be thrilled that you are celebrating. I remember my DS6 learning to ride before my DD7. My DD was soooo upset, but she was terrified to try. It was the middle of the summer and I had her put on her snow suit and gloves. That did the trick and she never needed them again after that.

That's a very clever solution!

Mike, don't know where I lost your multiquote, but congrats on the vow renewal on CC . . . also, Stace, nice pics of yours!:goodvibes

They work for us, the sooner we can settle, the better I can keep it open...

And the rest of the story is?????????

Too bad Brack is not going to sail with us. He could have performed the ceremony for ya!

We do have a priest and a few of us are ordained ministers from those internet sites.....:confused3

I wonder how many ships Disney will have in 2208? I think they are being a bit ambitious in publishing a guide for that far in the future.

(Andrew missed the Oscar category for snarkiest respones to serious posts. I think I'd win that in a landslide.)

OMG....I knew we had some serious pre-planners on this cruise, but 2208??????:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Do you know of a fountain of youth that you are not sharing??? How are you going to be able to take a cruise when you're 200+ yrs old?

Oops! Well you never know....

I missed chat tonight. I went to a co-workers DH's "wake" or "viewing" tonight. Poor guy was my age (42) and died very unexpectantly. I was counting up and I have been to 5 funerals or viewings on co-workers spouses or kids over the last 16 1/2 years. We used to be a very close knit "family".

I stumbled up this that has totally convinced me to go.

Death by Chocolate :cloud9: what a way to go

What a way to go!!! I gained five pounds just reading it.:headache:

...yes, i think that would be nice. ha! but you might..spill the beans...
me, talking about ...my lil'miss ..adventures.... . * we been
discussing polo's..& i don't think we 'll be doing this time...[ we have
done many times..& becos, being on late.]

You need to e-mail me with your room number or ressie , number of people, and who you would like to be linked with:goodvibes :goodvibes We are trying to get everyone in the same rotation of dining rooms. send email to

micmsecheryl at yahoo.com

Finally we can stop hearing Cheryl whine about not gettting a pirate: ! Hope John took you out to celebrate. Someplace nice. Like McDonald's or Burger King.

P.S. congratulations Cheryl.

We went big time to Taco Bell.:rolleyes1

I'm sorry.

Oh, you meant going to Schaumburg was a good thing.

I'll repost this for those who missed it on the first thread:
http://www.theonion.com/content/node/29383

That was funny!!!:lmao: :

I am very upset at work.. they cut my commission % for 2008 ( just found out last Friday) and my pay will decrease BIG Time in 2008.. just what I wasn't looking for a pay decrease.. and of course my manager didn't say a word.. nothing nada.. no explanation nothing.. no meeting before to give me some spin.. :sad2: so i am in very serious looking for a job mode... went on an interview yesterday...

Good luck Susan:hug:

:grouphug: to both from me.
My mom was diagnosed with colon cancer at 48 and died at 49...a year before screenings are recommended.

Sorry to hear that M.

It's snowing to beat the band here. Expecting 10 inches by midnight. I sent DH to the store to get a few things & he's going on & on about how miserable the grocery store was since everyone is in a panic buying all the fixin's for french toast! Better him than me!

I guess it is finally your turn.:rolleyes1

Good Evening the weekend starts here, just booked my flights for 2009!!! To and from Orlando and my Eastern cruise then!!!

Need some help here.....

My Mom and her boyfriend are in Florida for a few weeks. He has never been to WDW and has refused to go (probably due to guilt of never having taken his kids??), but my Mom is either dragging him there or got him to agree to go for one day.
Your thoughts?

I loved trying the Segway!!!:flower3:

Cartagena mentioned, suggest DCL tours or organised tours only.

Now you just scared me again.:sad2:

Congrats Sweetie you deserve it.

Yes sweetie, now you won't hear me saying I am trying for a pirate: .

15,000

Now if I had a £ for each post!

:cheer2: :cheer2:
Some would pay me a £, everytime NOT to post!!!

I just heard Crash will pay you!!!!:thumbsup2 :rolleyes1

PS..Well they are not real pirate: posts anymore, as the previous thread's ended on odd numbers, and not a round thousand, the actual pirates continued form thread 1, would be in different places, so who knows you might have had one in part 2 or part 3?

( or shouldnt I say that?)

No...........you should not say that!!!!:headache:

How about car magazines? Or somethin on electronics....

Chrissie

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Thanks - I had a Homer moment! :headache:

Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote 'The Hokie Pokey' died peacefully at the
age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the
coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.

Shut up. You know it's funny. Now send it on to someone else and make them smile.

dance.gif

OK... it's Hokey Pokey Time folks ...

OK - you all know we're going to burn in heck for this right? :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

OK Andrew - talk about pouring salt in the wounds, water over a fire, a wet blanket........any other cliches out there?

Just because you had your one or two or three?????????:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

My gosh - you must have a strong sense of will else -these prickly comments would have done you in. Never fear - as I tell my kids - we wouldn't pick on you if we didn't  you! :flower3:

(I would on them though!) :rotfl2: :lmao:

I finally made it to 1000 posts!

EDITED: ....
Then I waited.

And waited.........

and...and...don't leave us hangin' man !!!

Surprisingly, the vow renewal on Castaway Cay was still open!!!!! We booked it right then and there! So we're renewing our vows on Castaway Cay at the end of our Trip Of A Lifetime! What a memorable way to end a fantastic trip.

OMG! I don't know how the first part of my post got posted, while I was still writing it! But it was pretty good for the sake of suspense, wasn't it?

::yes:: ahuh sure - you just want us to think that!

how utterly, freakin, fantastic !!

Here here !!!

 hey can you schedule it right after the pirate: photo op? AND are we invited? Can you just imagine what your pictures will turn out if all your friends from TOAL (read pirate: and wenches) were all decked out? Can you say - drag party? Although I'm game if you decide to invite us......just fair warning - make sure you have plenty of rum! :lmao:

Heck - Cpt Jack can make an appearance with the real capt and capt Mickey will be there right?

Saw a very inventive bra on Rachael Ray yesterday. It's designed for backless clothes. Doesn't work with strapless, only backless. Won't post a pic, but you can see it here http://www.maidenform.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=71471&wtlCategory=Search
They had an audience member try it on and she was really surprised how well it supported since she was well blessed.

OMG! I was just worried about that - the dress DH bought me is sorta backless can't wait, can't wait! :yay: :yay:

...It was the middle of the summer and I had her put on her snow suit and gloves. That did the trick and she never needed them again after that.

What a cool idea! How come I never had ideas like that? :scratchin

Last weekend, we went to see a friends gd play basketball. We ended up going to Mc Donalds so I drove the kids. We got in the car and Radio Disney was on. There were playing "What Time Is It" from HSM2 and I started singing. My friends gd said to me in a really suprised tone, "You know the words?" My dd just smiled. I think at that moment I got the "Cool Mom" thumbs up from dd!

And the award goes too...... That's awesome Tina, kinda funny how it makes us all giggly inside - these moments huh? I know you know the Cha Cha Slide? My niece thought it was hilarious that I was dancing it while in the car at a stoplight - she had to tell everyone at home I was dancing it and moving the whole car - then she proceeded to say - just like you mom! :rotfl2: See we are not alone!

THey can't recieve magazines like that. It is actually against the laws over there. (ie muslim country) so they can get in real trouble if they are found with them.

(My dbil was over in Afghanistan for 6 months and i thought of sending something but then i got the above speach.....)

OMG! I was kinda wondering that. I know that hand santizer is also off limits - what a shame. Thanks for the confirmation. :thumbsup2

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
That's a lot of postings!!!!!
Yes

I would say Epcot EXCEPT for the walking issue . . . it really does require the most walking, although if you take those boats from future world to different spots in world showcase, you could cut it down some . . .

Exactly what I've been worried about . . . thanks for that, Jo.

Just like you Andrew to post a poll and be the only one to answer it!!!!:lmao:

I'd be really, really interested except that I don't really care to see lots of age-old fornications . . .

I'm betting you have a lot more than that . . . you just didn't get it for posting!

Congrats on the milestone, Mr.Chatterbox, or is that Sir Chatterbox? . . .:thumbsup2
Slow night!!!

I'm thinking, I'm thinking...

:worship: :worship: :worship: and me at not even a thousand yet.
You will get there!

Is this math I'm seeing without a math alert ???
Yes maths alert, sorry!

I'm curious....how do you type this symbol...or is it on all the keyboards in the UK???

Is on all our keyboards above the 3.

Andrew, here's 15,000 Czech Korun

Don't spend it all in one place buddy!

y' hear!

Now I'm off to take the girls to thier gymnastics classes tonite!

TTFN!
I am off shopping!

I finally made it to 1000 posts!

And it only took me 4 years. Although well over half of those posts have been on this set of threads in the past year.

So here is my 1000th post story:

Linda and I were looking into renewing our wedding vows at Disney World for our 15th anniversary. All of the options looked incredible, but the timing wasn't good, since it would be just after I graduate and start my full-time job. Plus it was really stinkin' expensive for what we wanted to do.

wedding1.jpg

So then I had the brilliant idea of renewing our vows while on the TOAL. I figured the boys and I will have tuxedo rentals anyway, and the girls needed dresses for formal night. So, with visions of a romantic renewal on formal night, I made my call to Disney's Fairytale Weddings.

The girl that I talked to checked her computer and found out that every vow renewal slot for our cruise was already booked. Once we decided to do the vow renewal, we were really looking forward to it, so we were disappointed.

Then I got the idea to call back and ask to be put on a waitlist. Since she wasn't sure if there was such a thing, I got put on a waitlist to be called back to see if I could be put on a waitlist.

Then I waited.

And waited.

Linda and I went to lunch a few days later. Linda mentioned how nice it would have been to renew our vows on the ship or on Castaway Cay. That's when it clicked that I only asked about onboard renewals, and not Castaway Cay. So when we got home, I made Linda call to ask. (I figured they were sick of me calling by this point)
Congrats.

Since you mentioned the late Oolong, here is a whole page for you.

Just logical maths!!!!!!

Yes

Is on all our keyboards above the 3.

Sorry Andrew - over here its a # sign. Although at one time I was aware of the codes to change your keyboard to other languages. I was taking Spanish in college a few years back and the book had some codes to change certain characters into other characters - like the # sign you have and the accent mark over some spanish words. On our keyboard it is the facing the opposite of what the Spanish use - does that make any sense? I guess it is late - probably should go to bed.

Take care and I hope your keeping up with your new way of eating. I refuse to use the "D" word. It is no in my vocabulary! Nope - doesn't exist.

:OK - you all know we're going to burn in heck for this right? :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

OK...

... what have I done now? Well... what-ever it is .. I claim blissful INNOCENCE!

Here's one shot of us at the beach after the wedding

You Wild party animals!

I'm so sorry about your Mom Crash!

That was a beautiful way to express the feelings you & your wife had when seeing your DD jumping for joy over Mickey! Sadly so many people go on vacation together whether it be Disney, cruise, resort, or camping, and never learn to appreciate that precious second in time with their loved ones. :lovestruc

Thanks for the thoughts... I've been a bit mushy and inwardly focusedwith the family. With folks close to us being ill... and all the sobering health challenges shared by so many I've been pensive as of late. And that is not a bad thing - mind you. It's just got me in a sort of strange focus on some things.

And in my Mom and such... I don't regret the choices I made back then - as I stopped everything to concentrate on helping her when she became ill... it's just that I did miss a few things. one of which was I suspended my agenda and did not get engaged and married then as we might have. as there were simply too many things (overwelming) that needed attention then.

Nice to see you all dressed up for the Oscars night, looks like your in for a few awards! Do you have a ( short) acceptance speech ready?
No tears please!

Morning Andrew - sounds like a faulty keyboard to me - mine also has a £ sign above the number 3 so there must be a problem somewhere!!:lmao:

Andrew

As I type, I forgot to say that Helen is currently on the phone to VH getting some prices for next year. At the moment the VH website is too unreliable for next year (as we have seen on the UK forum).

More money again.:headache:
