8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #3

Here are a few pictures from last saturday when we drove up to the GRAPEVINE and Mt Pinos off Frazier Park. We had 3-4' of snow, threw some snow balls and did some sledding with a yellow plastic sheet and an inflatible snow tube. We had a pretty nice time with the girls having brought a nice neighbor girl.

Below here we are taking a late lunch of hot coco, and stuff.

And below here are a final shot of me in my A-16 hat and Bucca de beppo afterwards for dinner:

How did you get quotes from the other thread to show up here??

We quoted from the old thread while it was still open... that gave us the posting number to link it automatically. FOR example - the thread link for YOUR posting is "23081139".... so - without knowing the exact number of the posting you want - you couldn't have an active link. But you COULD go back and sort of copy the content and quote it here manually.

Thanks everybody! Yeah, they are kinda cute huh? But then again, I'm biased Luckily she's been like clockwork for feedings every 3 hours and doesn't really squawk much otherwise. Her first flight was uneventful except for the TSAh*les (it's no secret that I have no love whatsoever for TSA!) who held us up unnecessarily because I insisted the screener replace his filthy gloves with a fresh pair before pawing through the diaper bag with her formua inside. And then there was Screening Idiot #1 and Supervisory Screening Idiot #2 who all but took apart the car seat because it set off the ETD....which hadn't been calibrated and cleaned all day. <Rant = off>

Well so far that's the plan. I think the baby is on our manifest as TBA but I remember there was an issue regarding the number of pax in the cabin--even though the baby is just an infant.

cabin}...were the best..by far...across the planks~

lil'miss flame...& she does everything.her way..jus like mcdonalds.

* here's a true secret..remember that "wild/crazy eim? ...he even shouted
into our movie camera...& was always jumpin in the pools...
however, he was with "us"..on an antigua excursion..with his girlfriend...

...now- doing the dew? [makes one swabbie all sweaty..jus figuring..out

..yes, professionally speak..those tv "reports"...and so?, how many
demands..were being placed..on him....with suggestions?..for role
playing/great expectactions..,may seem far fetched...but when one
compare to the "scenes",
in sports...this in-deeds,..could have resulted in a tragic...mistake....
[as we "read" all the time..."stars"..develop an altered self~preception..
that encourages...many "wrong/destructive impressions...reality is: no
one are immmue..to chemical interacting...[ well because, after all...thats
what drives our main engines]....

i trust..my professional co-workers...wow, from their observations,
noted- seldom happy/or smiling. and the ways, others determined "intent",
are not prefect... by measuring the normal levels..

however, some facts...should be alarming...and need for imposing changes.
* od deaths...from cocaine, crack, herion, & etoh "combined"...are not
as many..as rx. narcotics drugs. & we 're havin great diffculties..jus
to begin ..the recovery process. we are heading for trouble! real.

[ story. a so called dr. almost got several people killed.did get
a few of us hurt. writng rx.s..methdone, excessive.until over the limits.
created..a monster. threatening him for more drugs. what to do?..sent
to us. on his first night. the other guy called in. me & 4 women. with
a ward of 25 + , some dangerous. he sized us up. and acted out.,
attempting to kill us..to get our narcotic keys. people in the trenches..
understand reality, like our lives depends on it. well, it does. that's why
these tv experts ,are not impressive to us. they are not in "reality".
we are~!..fyi, those outside, looking in...might be surprise..how dependable
women staff/rn's are. * nothing was done, .wonder why...these
dangerous..people..are free..in society...think there should've been any
corrective measures? ]

nancy g.?..well ,she may not be accurate 100% of the time..but i admired
her "ambitions & heart"...

courthouse..shooting, craxy? maybe..but if some of the facts are true...
there are "needs" for an evulation..of cause/ effects...for preventing future
incidents... i like to say....from my experiences...there is a major fault
where some..gov't workers ...are immued..from responsbility..for any
ways ..they treat...others/co workers....that produced... , ruining..
lives..to the point of desperation...& jus like that...the old scapegoat,
postal worker/s...maybe someone...should evulated the factors...like
abuse...these people may have received? might right, alot of misconceptions.
why?...* to instill corrective measures..to reduced /recognized..the risks
indicators..before..more lives ..are lost?

sorry, for talking to much..but it's so sad...to see these mistakes
repeated..over & over! sad!

Well I can guarantee that my Sunday morning isn't as good as theirs!

Busy day today. Boys both have hockey this morning, we're going to the Capitals 1pm game, then DS9 has more hockey. I'm leaving in 15 minutes & should be home at about 8:30 tonight.

If anyone sees the laundry fairy, can you please send her to my house????
I can live without really cleaning my house this week, but laundry is going to be an issue!

How does the Fish Extender thing work
The number of DIS people on this cruise is making me think twice about signing up
(How long would it take to distribute something to everyone let along the luggage space needed to transport stuff )

I thought someone said something about breaking it up into smaller groups

We went on the 10 night and had about 75 families(which was well over 275 people). Sometimes I would give a gift to the family as a group. It all depends on what you are giving. Most people only gave out their fishy gifts once but seems like everyone did different days so there was always something in there.

I went on the 11 night and it was the same...one per cabin.

I paid off a lot of the 2009 Cruise this week, the day before the UK, reduced interest rates and our exchange rate started to slide down.

I think we have peaked for the time on £/$, but its hard to tell.

Good for you Andrew...wouldn't surprise me if it crept up again though.

I seem to remember that we had three carrier bags of bits and pieces which took up a large portion of our luggage space. Alex & Bethan loved going around the ship and dropping off the gifts - I think they made three deliveries by the end of the 10 nights.

Equally, they loved coming back to the room to check if anyone had left something.

Was it you who gave us a compass with a whistle?? We've still got it!

Please don't be reluctant!

This is really a fun aspect of the DIS community. Let me illustrate a little without spoiling anything. Here are a few doors with thier door decorating and the FISH EXTENDERS hanging off the "fish".

Our first exerience with this was really very pleasant. I don't want to really say anything too specific - except to say this aspect of joiining in thre community is not to be missed. I spent HOURS walking the decks late at nite with DIS friends passing out our FISH gifts. SO yeah... on the other hand I frankly shudder at the thought of hauling enuf fer every cabin of DIS friends on the sailing.... if they ALL had fish extenders that is.

Thanks for reminding me what a great time I had distributing my presents. I had one person who caught me delivering my english chocolate and couldn't thank me enough as she just loved Aeros and can't get them in the US.

Seems a lot of Westbound Panama crossing cruisers had a lot of difficulty booking shore trips last night, error messages and the DCL site might have crashed,

Reports of only being able to book the kids club.
