I must admit to sober agreement here Lil'G ... as one of my best friends ... his spouse once quipped that Lorena Bobbet should have used a VITAMIX after her "deed" had been done. And to that I could only say ... the thought makes my skin crawl on my back.

I got a really nice pair of brown suede,knee high boots that were marked down from $110 to $10.00 They should be perfect for Pirate Night.

We went to the PO last Saturday (2/2) to apply for our passports...

Well DD went out to the mailbox and just came in and says, "Mom,i think we got our passports."

OMG we did get them....

I guess somewhere there's alot of government employees with nothing to do this time of year.

HOLY CARP PASSPORTS IN A WEEK!!!!!

PS i don't even think the checks have cleared my bank yet.....

Went to Penney's. Kind of a bust for me, I didn't find anything, but DD got 3 pair of shoes, and a bag full of tops. None were on the big sale, but still got out of there spending less than $100.

Went to Dillard's and I tried on some "cruise" dresses. I give up. Everything looks like carp on me. Either I skip formal and semi-formal nights, or wear a sack.

I'm trying to figure out where my waist went. I am just one big square from my shoulders to my hips.
I did see a drop-waist dress that would solve that problem, but DD declared it "ugly" while it was still on the hanger, so I didn't try it on. Looking back, I should have anyway.

At least I still have plenty of time to keep looking. And I don't even know what I am wearing for oldest DD's wedding either!

I got my Nana 4 pairs of pants and 1 blouse for a total of $15.74

I know what you mean about the dresses! I have an awful time with them too.

So my day started at 6 am. Hockey, swimming, hockey, JC Penney, Outback Steakhouse, home by 9 pm. And gosh darn it, the laundry fairy didn't show up!

We went out to celebrate DS's great report cards. JCP was so/so for me. Go the kids runnning shoes BOGO 1/2off, DH got a pair of $14 dress slacks, I got a $80 Nicole Miller sundress for $15 and the boys each got a shirt and a pair of pants. According to my receipt, I saved $230, although I wouldn't have bought any of those things at full price.

I am having fun --went to see U23D this morning in Imax 3D

Oh, was it good?? I want to see that! I'm a huge U2 fan!

Did this end up on TV (like Janet Jackson) or was a picture taken? I would very much like to see your costume malfunction . . .

The monkey's pastie fell off.

Actually i think it would be really neat if we had characters and then everyone else dressed in old garb like the people at the beginning of POTC3.

I left on Wednesday am to page 211 on #2 and came back to page 10 on #3. Thanks for the link left on the other thread. I will try to ketchup later to see if there is anything important I missed?

Moms operation took around an hour and she was already in recovery and out the door 2 hours later !!!! They gave her a block from the shoulder down and she was talking to the Dr during the procedure.They even gave her the xray showing the plate and all the screws in there. She only popped a few painkillers and is doing most of her daily stuff herself. Her friends are terrific and cook and do her errands for her so I know she is in good hands. What impressed me was the surgeon personally called her the next day to see how she was doing.

I listened to the past podcasts on the drive and time just flew by. Still haven't totally caught up yet but halfway thru this weeks.

Tom I love the front page. When I get thru this mail piled on my desk I'll try to sort it out. See y'all later......

My sister and I were just talking about the formal night clothing today. I am very thick around the middle, so I don't look good in too many dresses. My sister really doesn't ever wear dresses. So I am going to probably wear this pair of half pant/half skirt thing I have (elastic waist is always good!) with a fancy blouse or vest. My sister has a very fancy pair of black pants that she will probably wear. My sister is one of those people who can look elegant in jeans!
