AND....I wonder if I could even DREAM of winning something like that for YOMD........

At this point, I'd be happy with winning anything from the YOMD - at least I'll have three days of chances at DL/DCA before we head off on the cruise. We saw YOMD CM's when we were at WDW for 10 days last August but didn't win a thing. If I hadn't seen the CM's I would have thought it was purely an advertising sceme on Disney's part.

It is a really good marketing promotion. I like that it is random to a degree. Very easy for Disney to carry it on in some form after the year is finished and with not much cost to them.

yeah - she wasn't too happy with me when I started to spout "bopught in good faith" , "Best Buys reputation for customer service", can't believe they wouldn't work with me, I guess I'll have to take my service elsewhere like Ritz Camera - they have an AWESOME record! She was all talk about no I can't do nothing THRU the sales associate but when it came down to face to face - she was a simpering lion cub! Didn't stand up to my roar (OK all that was just in my head - Basically I just smiled like the Cheshire Cat) My older DD who was with me - just said - mom - the look on your face probably scared the living daylights out of her.

I'm not evil looking - I promise people - I am sweet and innocent and very friendly - just after I get you know you.

BTW, folks - one of the major contributing factors to buying an open box bargain is that most stores have a return policy on electronics that includes a 15% re-stocking fee. With an open buy box, if the camera is damaged in any way - while still a NEW product it carries the same warrenty as a NEW UNOPENED product, there is no re-stocking fee if returned. I knew this ahead of time, knew the capabilities of the camera - DH got me the 770 for Christmas and I've had Olympus before. Plus I was told that although technically an XD card - they are looking at making some kind of conversion to that they too can use an SD card someday soon. Plus their service dept is about 7 miles from my house. I can drop off and pick up instead of mailing. So don't let those open buy bargains scare you off. Know your stuff and check out the body - this one had no major scratches - the screen was clean and no dents or rattling. I got super lucky!

Just got back from boy scout ski trip to NH.... Found our passports in the mailbox! Yipee!!!!! We're really going!! (Can't have a passport & not travel, right?) That made a cold weekend toasty feeling! It's the little things that make me happy

When we were at Disneyland last year, I never even saw them. I did see some people who had "won" the fast passes...so I knew the Dream Team had been there somewhere.

LOL - on Friday nite I tortured the poor girl by "eggs-perimenting" with my super-macro mode on the the point and shoot - those darn things really get up close and personal. Got great shots of an earlobe and the hair on them. A nostril and an eye - may post one later to show you what DD and I were up too when we got bored.

OK our dogs are too alike - a husky-at-large beagle and a beagle-at-heart husky. Isis cannot be left off leash. Chloe on the other hand - I think she's a mouse in a husky skin. She will walk off leash at your side but will run off leash if we walk Isis w/o her! Found that out the hard way. So we separate them. I however, am in awe of those dog owners that have obedient dogs. Makes me smile. :

OH OH OH! Did I tell you I managed to snag an open box Olympus 790SW from Best Buy for $180? Its usually $300 but someone in the dept was tired of seeing it and put it up on clearance.

Thanks for the link. That looks like so much fun, what a lucky family. I am not sure what we will do on CC during our own TOAL. Last year we tried the banana boat. This year I am hoping to try parasailing with the kids. I don't think that my DH will join us though.

How did you like the banana boat? We did the Eco tour last time and I'm looking to try something new.
