I know it is easier to say than do, but it's your day & your hair!

I wore my hair down & I'm still married! :lmao:
Everyone thought I should wear it up, but I don't like the way I look with my hair up & gosh darn it, it's my hair.

The 2 things I gave in to for my mom were the veil & the cake. I didn't want to wear a veil, but I gave in (didn't wear it over my face). And Mom insisted that the cake have pillars. Keep in mind this was 1994, when a wedding cake withou pillars was a pretty radical ideal.:)

:lmao: :lmao:

OMfreekinG! It is 38 and raining, so my kids had a two hour delay! This is insane. What do you mean, not doing much the end of June? My kids have school until June 18. That is crazy late to me.

Oh and here is another fun and exciting school fact I discovered last night. My kids aren't allowed to run on the playground. :confused3 What??? God forbid someone should skin their knee. They are allowed to run on the grass, but they haven't been allowed on the grass since October.

My son got in trouble for walking down the hall while holding his hand to the wall.

Once again we apologized to our kids last night for making them live here.

You'll pay later for ruining their lives :rotfl:

Bo is all grown up now, and we STILL don't know what we got! He was a fluffy little puppy and now he has smooth, short hair with a bit of curl to it. We had thought there was a lot of Lab in him, but have also been told Pit Bull.
:confused3

Hi Everyone...I'm doing pretty good, thanks. Have been very tired and we took a little trip to WDW last week to celebrate ending chemo - that didn't help that  . I got my procrit (sp?) shot yesterday and that seems to help quite a bit once it kicks in. However, I got some wonderful news yesterday that raised my spirits immensely.....

:dance3: :dance3: :cool1: :cool1: . I am so very grateful to all the Dr's and nurses who have taken care of me in the last months. They are really amazing!! I have a surgery date of Feb 15th. I had to make some pretty big decisions about all that yesterday, but I think I have made the right choices for myself.

.

How fabulous !!

My tumor has shrunk to the point of being undetectable on the MRI I had Monday :cool1: :cool1: . I am so very grateful to all the Dr's and nurses who have taken care of me in the last months. We are supposed to report on the 25th. I am told I will be able to get into my classroom to set it up before I leave but i will not have my class roster until I get back. The worst part is that our flight (with no delays) does not even get into Richmond until 8:15pm which means we will not even get home until 9:30. Kids will have to have backpacks with school supplies & clothes all ready sp we can get out the door the following morning - its gonna be tough that first day back. I was even considering seeing if I could just get a sub for that first day of school - not sure how my principal will feel about that though.

I just realized I need to have their backpacks ready before we leave on the TOAL. :scared1:

We went to WDW and DCL right before school opened 2 years ago. I made sure the backpacks were in order and the clothes were laid out before we left for the trip. In fact, I remember having the backpacks stuffed by the first week of August.

This year, my kids will miss the first 4 days of school. I'll obviously have to do the same sort of drill, PLUS make up 4 nights of homework on the first night back to school!

MaryAnn that is GREAT news.. glad that the chemo worked and the tunor shrunk.. hope everthing goes well on the 15th.
I thought of you and the family at WDW the other weekend. But I was so sick that I didn't want to call you and risk giving you the flu/cold that i had.. next time!!!

Greetings.. kids are home for a snow day so i worked from home today..

I am hoping to make it into chat but i am having technical difficulties and posted on the tech support board.. hope that it will get straighten out and I can get in and chat with everyone.

If not... maybe another time...

We are in the same situation. I will have everything ready before we leave. How I wish we could have a couple of extra days to spend at WDW but sadly we must come home. I was just notified this week that our flight times have been moved up by an hour so I really hope that there are no delays getting into port. I guess that bonus is that we will be home an hour early. My DD will be fine, but I am sure that my DS will be rattled on his first day back to school after the cruise.

WOW, Stace! How could he be all grown up already? I remember when he was brand new!

Well, he's only 9 months old, but I think he's reached his maximum growth.

Time just flies when you're in the WPP!! :cool2:

Congratulations to you!!!! You are an inspiration to all!

My mother grew up in Harper Woods! Her whole family was from the Detroit area, but I don't think any of them are still there - they ALL moved to Florida (except DM who lives about 3 miles from me).

My husband grew up in Harper Woods! He went to the Catholic school there (class of '74). His one brother still lives in Grosse Pointe Woods.

I can Soooo relate to this! I wore my hair long from childhood until June 2003 - when I finally gave in to the years of my Mom's nagging and cut it to shoulder length. I was 38 at the time. Since then I've kept it around shoulder length or a little longer, but I haven't been in for a cut now since last summer and it is rapidly approaching "long" again - I'm just waiting for the comments to start! I'm trying to make up my mind if I should cut it again or just go back to long. Long is soooo much easier! I have very straight hair that won't hold a curl (not even a perm).
I, too, have very stick straight hair. It used to be nice and thick, but it has thinned out over the years. My mother always gave me the "get it out of your face" line, but now I grow it for locks of love, so she does not say anything!

I couldn't resist taking the photo of the antenna topper! It is actually what convinced me to put on the boots, coat, hat, scarf, etc and go outside.

The kitty is one of DH's "outdoor" cats. There are 6 indoors and he doesn't tell me how many out outside! :lmao: When he can, he traps them and gets them spayed/neutered. If they are friendly, he can sometimes get the vet or one of the shelters to take them. Most are ferile and just get released back outside. (So basically, he has been running his own private catch-neuter-release program for years! :thumbsup2 ) He puts out food and water year round and builds a little shelter for them in the winter. They also go under our front porch and various porches and decks around the neighborhood.

That was exactly what I was going to say! How caring a thing for him to do!

Guess who got confirmation from the PV canopy tours?

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

That's wonderful, Lisa!:cool1:
