I want to see all of y'all BUT, I don't want to be in WDW during August..... I hated being there the 1st of Sept this year! LOL! The heat is not nice to me! It makes me queasy and I can barely eat. It also makes the younger kids very cranky.
We will really have to give it some more thought! I wish y'all were all going the end of September instead! LOL!

I wish Setember too but not going to happen with the peeps who have children and are not home-school.

The WB TA -- I talked to Jon today and he was less then enthusiastic....... I haven't decided if I am going to keep the ressie or not......

I am hanging on to the TA WB ressie just in case!!!

And what happened to Aruba? Dh is all for that trip! LOL!

We didn't book anything for 2010. DW wants to do a cruise that does the eastern Med and Turkey, so she's researching that.

We may jump on a 2010 date late in the game but.......we're having DCL withdrawl symptoms.

Oh yeah......I nearly forgot.....I became a naturalized American citizen yesterday, so no more funky passport lines for me

Hey everyone! Had a great time in DC last weekend. Meet up with K and Devon and had fun! Mike Kaitlin got her hug from Hailey via K! Kaitlin misses her too.

Than I came down with sinsus crud. Yuck, been off work Wed & Thur. Back today, feeling a bit better.




Count us in! I've got it penciled in on my calendar. That would be a great time before school starts back up and SA summer camp is over.

Good afternoon friends.
Things are crazier than usual here. I started my new job last Monday, so this week has been a bit like drinking from a fire hose. I still haven't met all of the people who work for me (they are spread out over 4 offices) & I was on a CEO call (went to see the CEO of a potential new major account) before I even made it to my office the second day and giving a speech before I made it to my office on the fourth day. So far I really, really like my new job, but I was also happy to see Friday roll around!

Gosh I wish I'd have know on TOAL - I could have arranged for all of us to shout random bit of US trivia at you for 15 days!





I'm booked for NYE, but I don't think we will keep it. I can't say DCL made a mistake, because if they sell out 2010, they made the right business decision, but gosh is it getting harder for many of us normal folks to afford a cruise. And neither of us is "Joe six-pack" or a plumber.

Funny you mention RCCL - for some reason I was just looking at them. Now that the guys are getting older, it may be tme to try something else...especially if they can roam the ship with friends...hint hint...when are you thinking about going? We are thinking either NYE 2010-2011 or maybe spring break 2011. Might be fun!!

As for me. The Wall St meltdown is crazy. Yes, Arlene, Wamu is now part of mother Chase - and yes they have a small (relative to Chase) credit card business. This coupled with our normal Sept 15 deadline and all the family obligations (kids, soccer, school, etc) meant no time for the boards.

We have not sorted thru, nor printed our photos. I am headed to a conference in Arizona this Sunday. Maybe I can do some of the photo work on the flight.

I did finally get the Panama stamps, so I am sending out the FE gifts to those who did not get one or wants another. I still have a few left, so PM me if you want one.

I am certain all this Wall St meltdown will negatively impact my pay significantly (not to mention what my 401k looks like). Plus with all these mergers, my busy season (summers) may make long summer vacations dicey in the coming years (yes, more work, less pay... but I am thankful as many folks on Wall St will be out of a job and no one is hiring).

That being said I have not booked 2010. The Repos are a bargain, but the dates are not good (I cant take the kids out of school for 10 days). I do like the 11day southern in early Aug. I may book it (but the DW is adament against it due to price ~$14k for a cat 6, for 4 people, no air, no ins, no trans). May just go to Italy in 2010 (I promised my parents we would all go to italy together - they were born there).

For 2009 we are still set to go on the 4 day on Aug 30. We will prob do 4 or 5 days in WDW either before or after. But even this cruise may be in trouble as the other couple we are going with is having a tough time making ends meet (they are stuck in this sub prime mess). If they bail. We will prob scratch the cruise and just do WDW for a week in late Aug when free dining is annouced or in Oct if work is too crazy.

Anyhow, I hope everyone else is well.

Sorry folks - just had to share!

Hey All! Just wanted to let you know that I was MIA yesterday due to a last minute plan. My SIL had two extra tickets to catch the Ellen show at the WB Studios in Burbank. So we hauled off our carcasses to the show. It was very last minute and I didn't mention it because we ended up being sat at the top middle row section. I figured my chances of getting on TV were almost nil to none.

Well, I mentioned it to my DIS friend, DisneySweetie and she just called me that she saw me on TV. For a milo-second. But hey - I was there. She says that as Ellen comes dancing down the stairs I am off to the edge of the screen. I am saying this because as of now - it has not been shown on the West Coast. I am dressed in black of course, so I don't stand out. We were told to dress business casual and if jeans are worn to make sure they are not torn. I was standing next to a very tall gentleman who's wearing a white long sleeved pinstriped shirt. My daughter Megan is next to me in jeans - she was the smart one and wore comfortable clothes - and a beige cardigan over a purple polka-dotted shirt.

So, if any of you watch Ellen, make sure you tape it! LOL


BTW folks, that woman is SUPER TINY! I know that she looks normal size, but as she was dancing down the stairs I got a good look at her. I would be hard pressed to say that she is a size 6. We finally decided she is between a size 2 and maybe 4. She is very petite and although she was sporting a cold - she was blowing her nose and being checked for bats in the caves ( ) she was trying her best to be herself. She was a bit subdued but I can see where she is a very good entertainer. Here I was all pressed to be bored and even I had a good time.

Her guests were Kristin Chenoweth from Wicked and Pushing Daisies fame - the one with the high pitched voice? Some home decorater with how to dress up your table for the holidays and Robin Thicke who floored me with how much he looks like his dad - Alan Thicke. Nice looking guy! and

We made it out of there with Robin Thicke's new CD and a couple of samples of some cream for expectant mothers. I haven't opened the package yet as I am in the process of sending out some packages to my soldiers but I wanted to share. Hope you all can catch it. I also made it out with an Ellen jacket which I will post a picture of later. I am trying to get ready for a home volleyball game at St. Paul. So I will post later.

Laura....It is not when she comes in at the beginning.....it is after she tells a joke or two and then says omething about doing a cheerleading dance....she then goes up the stairs, crosses over thru people and goes up the other side. As she is turning to go back down you can see you!! All smiles, clapping and bouncing along to the music!!

I had to get back to work so cant say if you were on anymore....

When K posted her post that was my first thought! A few years back one of my brothers called me and said *If Jerry calls...just say NO*

He was refering to our sister and her life. It has been a Jerry show waiting to happen since she was 20 and she is about to turn 44!
