Thanks, Andy. The WB Repo looks really nice. However, the timing is not for us. School gets in the way. Flights x 4 gets in the way of all the others.

Hey all -
I've been avoiding the DIS so I don't turn into an unemployed unkempt hermit. I just watched the live announcement for 2010. Looks like fun, but we have another TOAL planned for 2010. Plus, I'm not sure I want to pay the "DCL premium" price for a Euro cruise since you spend very little time on the ship. Repo would be nice, but the dates won't work for us.

Good news! I got a job offer. Well 2 actually, but I'm only taking one. They are all independent (more like a franchise than a corporation), but I'm back working for the same organization that I worked for in Alaska.

I start next Monday, so I get to pocket about a month's worth of severance from my last job AND I ended up with a 17% raise. YAY!

Even without the travel expenses, figure skating and hockey start at about $250 per seat, per event. OY!

I think we'll be watching a lot of biathlon and preliminary bobsled live and just soaking in the atmosphere. It will be great anyway!

Just a drive by post (I am back on pg 60 and trying to read sequentially).

Since coming back things have been crazy crazy busy... the kids school stuff, soccer coaching. finishing up my firms tax return, then all this Wall St craziness, and Wamu... ugh... This (and rumors of a lousy bonus seasons ahead) may put a big crimp on 2009 and 2010 summer vacation plans.

I did finally get Panama stamps... so I can make about a dozen more of my FE gifts. I will PM those that were looking for one in the next day or two... Anyone esle want one... PM me.... 1st come 1st served.

Mike looks like you guys had a blast! We have our local Renaissance Fair this week also, but it's been years since we attended. It's always the same time as our local agricultural fair & that one is a lot closer so we tend to do that every year. But now that I'm seeing your pics, I'm thinking we might have to attend next year!

Thanks for letting me know about the charges in Aruba..we were also dinged 2x on 2 out of the 3 charges...the 2 were charged on 8/31/08 where as the 3rd one was charged on the 9/2 so maybe that's why it didn't get charged again.

We will be disputing it with the charge company.

Yes, thanks for the warnings about CC charges from Aruba -- I am thinking it must be a Visa issue, since I used a MC there and just checked to be sure I wasn't double charged, and I wasn't . . .

So is everyone going to post here if they decide to book something for 2010? I'd be interested to see what people do -- I am having to really think about it.

Unfortunately the dates are not feasible for the repos but the price is right and for the Med/Baltic the dates are right but the price is wrong for us. May be in 2011 on a new boat or if the Magic/Wonder come to LA/Hawaii/Alaska. I just saw a good review article on Micechat about the Hawaiian Resort by Disney. Maybe we will do the grand opening and cruise? Definitely going to WDW next summer.

Hi Roger -- I agree, these prices are steep -- it makes me wonder how many people will book right now with the economy what it is. I will say that the Med cruise last year was wonderful, and they have kept what I thought were the best ports and replaced the others with exciting possibilities. The Northern Europe looks amazing, too. I might just not do anything Disney next year and save up for 2010 . . . have to think about it.

Well we already have the call into our TA , we are doing the Sept 8th 2010 Med and staying on to do the Sept 18th 2010 TransAtlantic .. The Trans Atlantic is appealing cause of the new ports , and the Med well , its the Med and we havent gone there before ...
